Mayotyo TENS EMS Unit Review

Wow. This little device is powerful and packed with features. With 4 independent channels that could control 8 pads at the same time. That's 8 pads on 8 different parts of your body. With 24 massage modes and 30 levels of intensities to choose from, you can easily customize to your needs. This device is compact and USB rechargeable. Perfect for travelling or just to take with you for on the go treatment. I just love the convenience of this little device.

This unit is very handy for someone who can't afford regular massages, or has constant pain. The TENS function really does feel like a massage. At first it was strange, but after a few minutes I could feel myself relaxing and feeling tired. The EMS function feels like your muscles are working out without you doing the effort. This function is much more intense than the TENS function. Use with caution on sore spots! Start low, especially if you aren't used to using it yet. On first use I place the pads on the backs of my legs and it felt good. Second use I placed them on my back. It worked more thoroughly on my back muscles. After use I felt good, but a few hours later the one spot on my back that is sore the most often felt very aggravated, so much so it hurt into the next day. Admittedly I went way too hard with the intensity of the TENS in that spot because it felt so good in the moment. So proceeded with caution. Timer function will stop the machine just incase you do fall asleep. The sticky pads stay on well, even after multiple uses. 6 pairs of sticky pads. 4 square, a set of large rectangular, and a set of small oval pads. Carry bag, USB charging cable, 4 connection cords, instruction manual. Very easy to use. Big digital screen, simple, easy to use buttons. Clip on back of unit so you can secure it on your body if you need to. Would recommend, as I'll definitely be buying this for a Christmas present for my mom.

I admit that I am not a tech person. Therefore, when I got this and began connecting things, I had no idea what went where and how. And it is not self expainatory for someone like me! lolHowever, after turning to a couple of quick videos and reading the Op manual a little closer, I was able to utilize the better part of this units abilities. And am still learning more every use.

So as most people know, pain affects different people in different ways. And the same is true for relief. But I found that this machine provided excellent relief and appropriate stimulation to the areas I needed.And with the varying intensity levels, as well as the focused settings for accupuncture, TENS, etc, you can find the setting that suits you best, albeit takes a little time, if youre not familiar with it. But I have to say, this little unit helps make it a lot easier, with its compact style, travle case, lasting battery, and extensive settings

I'm finding a lot of pleasure in the straightforwardness of this TENS EMS Unit machine! It works efficiently and might even spare you a visit to the physiotherapist. I was quite taken aback by the 24 diverse modes and 30 intensity levels it offers – more than I initially thought. The strength of the pulses it produces is really remarkable considering its compact size. Being rechargeable is a positive aspect, and it has a long battery life before requiring a recharge, providing prolonged usability.

I've only operated it at half strength thus far, and it's definitely been helping ease my back pain and rotator cuff tendinitis. By triggering nerve fibers and zeroing in on pain, it's made dealing with the discomfort much more manageable.

The Maytoyo TENS/EMS unit is a surprise in that it can generate quite a strong pulse if you need it to. The unit I used while in Physio was the size of a chair. This is smaller than the first cell phone I ever owned. It comes with several sets of pads: two very small oval pads, eight medium square pads and 2 larger (about twice the size of the mediums) pads. The pads are reusable but they will wear out as the sticky backing loses adhesion. Replacements can be ordered from the manufacturer.
The unit comes with a detailed user manual on how to use the unit that provides simple instructions on settings but very little explanation of what settings to use, really, for your particular concern. Also, there are absolutely no directions on pad placement as no chart of any kind was included in the kit. Anyone who’s used this kind of treatment in physio should know where to place them but a quick online search for TENS or EMS charts will fill your screen with them. I also sent a request to support@Maytoyo.com for their own chart, if they produced one, and received an immediate reply though there was a bit of a language issue. They resolved that problem from their end, however, and sent a pdf chart a couple of days later.
On the plus side, selecting modes and adjusting the intensity of the pulses is simple if a little repetitive. There is no save feature for your preferred modes and intensity but the unit does start with the last settings used, so if you only treat one condition you shouldn’t have too much button pressing to contend with. I use mine primarily on my lower back where the contractions and warmth it generates by working the muscles is quite soothing which definitely helps to control my lower back pain.

This device is really fantastic. The controller is small in size and lightweight, and there's a clip on the back that allows you to attach it to your pocket or belt, giving you the freedom to move around. It has 4 channels with a total of 24 modes. I've tried them all, and they each offer something different. You can choose the mode you like based on your needs. One of its standout features is that all 4 channels can work simultaneously. I tested it with two channels, and they both worked excellently and independently, without any compromise. You can select different modes, working periods, and intensities for each channel, all clearly displayed on the controller.

Just one thing to note, the initial intensity is set to zero, so after changing the mode, remember to immediately increase the intensity using the dial, or else you might think it's not working. The battery life is impressive too, and the controller displays the battery capacity as well. I used it for two hours and didn't see any change in battery. The advertisement claims it can be used continuously for 20 hours. All in all, everything is very intuitive and easy to use. It's a fantastic product.
