Users are unhappy with the latest Netflix app update, criticizing its user interface, casting issues, and the removal of genre sections. Others complain about the app's bugs and glitches, including playback and resume issues, and Netflix's poor selection of titles compared to its competitors. Users also express frustration with the streaming service's price increases and decision to crack down on password sharing. Some applaud the app's content and recommendation algorithm while calling for improvements to the media player on Android TV OS.

The service itself has a good selection and the algorithm provides good recommendations. The app on the other hand, is an un-user friendly mess. My biggest gripe is that the user watchlist is just a big jumble of movies and series with no way to filter. After all these years how has this not been addressed?
Great app. Very few glitches... new update is confusing. "Home" is no longer where you find the stuff you've been watching all along. It's now at the "explore" section. I get that Netflix want to improve the experience but searching to try and find my shows is annoying. Maybe then make the "explore" page open as the app launches. Other than that, we good.
Nearly every movie or show I want to watch isn't available on Netflix. The price for Netflix goes up while the selection goes down. I miss the old days when we could find nearly any movie with Netflix. If Hell had a streaming service, it would be Netflix; a bunch of movies and shows, but nothing you actually want to see.
This new update is not great.. The home screen looks like instagram and its very unclear. Casting my series to the tv also does not work, I cannot see in the app that I am streaming and thus cannot pause it, change the subtitles or skip the intro. Also, it sometimes stops casting/streaming out of nowhere and have to restart everything and even then its sometimes not working..
Ever since the latest update I can't get to anything I was watching previously. Interface on the app is now extremely poor. Every year or two Netflix tries to push out an update that breaks the entire UI and everytime users complain about it. Haven't you got the point that the users still want our home page so we can quickly pick back up where we left off with a show?
The newest update for the mobile app as of 4/13/2023 is awful. Absolutely prefer the original. I've been a netflix subscriber for years now and have loved it, but go back to OG version or give me a way to choose between the two, and I would rate higher Oh, AND it doesn't work with Chromecast anymore!? They're about to lose a long-time subscriber
