Peghead Nation Online Music Lessons: Skilled Instructors and Valuable Content

The course is a good pace for learning but sometimes the video glitches out or lags and that can be frustrating.

Sharon Gilchrist’s Fingerboard Method course has helped me tremendously. I’m looking at the fingerboard differently and I’m learning a lot about how to lay a melody over the chord progression. I had been in a prolonged plateau period with my playing and this course has spurred me forward and reinvigorated my enthusiasm for playing. Sharon is a great teacher and thoroughly explains the framework of her method. I can’t overstate the value of this course. The level of instruction for the price cannot be beat.

Instructors are wonderful. I’m gaining in my confidence and repertoire. I can work at my own pace and fit in lessons at my convenience, without costly travel time in my busy schedule. It’s the next best thing to having these wonderful teachers at my side in person.

My mandolin playing has improved hugely since becoming a member on Peghead. Sharon Gilchrist is an amazing instructor sharing her insights, experience and knowledge. I have found the snippets of theory she teaches to make the music make more sense and easier to remember. Aaron Weinstein’s workshop changed how I approach listening and learning about music. Many thanks to both. John Reischman’s teaching is a joy to watch and learn from. We tell people all the time about Peghead.

I’ve been playing banjo for nearly 50 years. My original teacher taught only tablature. “This is how it’s supposed to be done.” I felt like selling my banjo because I was in a rut. Bill Evans’ teaching style helped me understand how to make sense of the journey from hearing a tune to playing the melody to playing a driving song. Learning how to play better backup has been a game changer.

The lessons are great. It’s great to be able to review the lessons. I am enjoying the learning process with the peg head nations lesson format. Thanks
