  • Beautiful way for kids to learn about their feelings

    I love the books I’ve read by this author, and this one is no exception. This is a great way for kids to learn about needs that lead to feelings, and how to express those and validate them, and teach others about what each child needs. The illustrations are beautiful, and each example is easy to relate to. I love the list of common emotions in the back of the book, and the fill-in-the-blank sentence that helps kids identify and express their needs and connect those with their emotions. Not only is this book helpful for parents to go through with your child, but also it’ll help you too. Most of us didn’t grow up knowing about our emotions and needs, so the little kid heart inside you will benefit from reading this book as well. Enjoy.

    WOW! This book should be in everyone's library. Sometimes I Need...acknowledges physical and emotional needs, gives coping skills, and sets us up for success that you can do it! I'm totally using this book/resource in my classes and sessions. Multicultural and multi-able in the illustrations. Two THUMBS UP!!!

    This world is full of needs, wants, struggles and kids need to be taught how to do self care, when to reach out and how to get along in a diverse world. This book does that and more. The authors website also has amazing options on how to reinforce the lessons from this book in creative, fun ways! I love Gabi Garcia and all she does to teach social skills and life skills!
