Elgin Thumper Wearable Bluetooth Speaker Review Summary

The wearable bluetooth speaker has small size but the sound quality is pretty impressive and the connection is easy to set up. Works great and I am really impressed.

Very convenient Bluetooth speaker, great for carrying around as you go. Perfect for camping and other events like that. The sound is great and it's very lightweight and seems durable. Barrery lasts a long time as well. It's pretty pricey for a speaker, but the quality is super good and you really get what you pay for!

This Elgin Thumper Wearable Bluetooth Speaker is a solid, well-made speaker.

Although, there are some aspects of the advertised specifications that just do not track.

#1. This is NOT an 100 Watts speaker. Probably more like 30 or 40W.

#2. Not lasting 35 hrs on 50% volume. That math just doesn't add up with their own numbers..

HOWEVER,
The sound is pretty clear. I like the quality of the materials. The entire piece has details in the texture and materials that are well thought out for the purpose. The unit is lightweight and does pack a punch sound wise based on size. It is portable and easy to clip onto multiple fabrics. The light is extremely bright in pitch black situations.

If the specs had been truthful, I could have given this speaker a 5. But since I was expecting 100 watts of power, not just 100lumens of light...

This is a wearable speaker that features good sound and two different ways of attaching to clothing. There is an integrated clip, plus there is a magnetic option which grips tightly. In fact, two magnets for attachment are included, which is a great touch. The look is no-nonsense and durable. The buttons are rubber covered to keep out moisture and grime. They are a bit hard to press, but that has the upside in that they won’t be pressed accidentally. It paired easily with my iPhone. The sound is plenty loud and has a surprisingly full sound - it does a commendable job at reproducing both music and speech. Weight is such that it does pull on a shirt a bit, but still is comfortable to wear. I like the design of it quite a bit.

The clip-on speaker feels very well constructed and the speaker produces a very good sound for its size. I did not notice any sound distortion until around 3/4s of its highest volume level. A nice additional feature is that it has a 100-Lumen LED light that is useful for lighting the ground ahead of you for walking, running, hiking, etc. I'm very pleased with this speaker and am very tempted to purchase another for stero pairing - it would be a terrific solution as a portable and lightweight stereo system on the go. With that being said, be sure to double check the box and look for the magnet attachment because it does not come pre-installed on the clip-on. Without reservation, this is definitely the best speaker of this type that I have encountered so far!

This little speaker is awesome. The sound is great and it clips onto a pocket or can be put on the wrist. It is easy to use and is made of high quality materials to last. It can be carried in a purse anywhere and doesn't take up much room.
