This is a tremendous resource for anyone looking for a new job or trying to discover what makes them happiest in a role. Not only is the framework for the JSCs detailed, but the book itself is very easy to read. The anecdotes are useful, the direction is clear, and the pace is welcome.
Really enjoyed the book. While the title gives a big hint of what the book is about (searching along with other people), all of the advice is highly welcome. From getting to know yourself better, to realizing market value fit, to negotiating your offers. This is all highly valuable, only wish I would have gotten this a few years ago!
Very grateful to Phyl for writing this book and running Job Search Councils
The book and accompanying job search council (free) team were instrumental in helping me to find my next role. Taking a deeper look at what I wanted and what the market wanted helped me realign my job search and ultimately land a new role.
You have to trust the process and try not to rush through the steps even though it feels counter-intuitive.
Understanding your candidate market fit will then allow you to drive the right strategy to find the next role/company.
This book, along with the $150k Club by Olivia Gamber, are life changing when it comes to career searching! Highly recommend!!!
