Living with Color is a graceful ode to the ideas contained within color theory.
Instead of boring the reader with too much science, Rebecca Atwood explains the basics, and then moves on to practical application. This books specifically focuses on color in the home.

Great exercises for working out your personal relationship to color are scattered throughout. I love how she suggests that the reader create their own color wheel. Genius! Admirably, Atwood digs into the difference between hue, tint, shade and tone which I think are so important to understand and ultimately lead to the most beautiful and nuanced designs.

Sometimes I found Atwood's own opinion of a color or stereotypes to override a purely unbiased review of specific hues. Purple is most obviously her least favorite, but she attempts to explain what she feels are purple's finer points.

Overall, I enjoyed Living with Color and recommend it for the home decorator and the artist!

Feeling very inspired after purchasing this book. Loved Rebecca’s first book Living with Pattern and now cannot get enough of her second book. The five sections really explains how to add color into your home. Thinking of color in a whole different way now and adding color seems more exciting than daunting.

The photos in this book are filled with the most luscious elements. The collections of art are beautiful and the accessories are eclectic and charming. The furniture looks welcoming and comfortable. All of these elements are perfectly paired with each other to make color palettes that are so pleasing and savory. This book will offer a great inspiration to decorate your space.

El libro es muy bonito, de buena calidad. Si no fuera por el daño, todo estaría bien. Llegó en tiempo y fue un buen precio. Sin embargo, lo pedí para hacer un regalo, así que me decepcionó aún más que llegara dañado. Intenté cambiarlo y me salió que no era posible, entonces sólo me quedaba el reembolso y devolverlo, pero en realidad quiero entregarlo esta Navidad así que lo conservaré.

Ojalá tomen en cuenta esto para proteger mejor sus envíos. Este libro llegó en bolsa, es lógico que un libro, más siendo de pasta dura, se dañará en las esquinas si se cae o lo avientan en paquetería o en los traslados.
