Mixed Reviews for COSORI Electric Kettle: Fast Heating but Durability Concerns

If you are a senior person who forgets to turn the stove off when boiling water for coffee or tea - you need this! Boils water super-hot and super-fast. And while some have said that their kettle makes loud noises, I haven't been bothered by the gentle humming sound it makes in the least. This unit is replacing an all-stainless kettle that sounded like a train was coming down the tracks, so this kettle is a relief. And the automatic turnoff is a great safety feature. Very nice looking on the counter as well. Love the fact that the water only comes in contact with glass and steel. I will definitely buy one again if I ever need one. And you should buy one, too - I think you'll be happy you did!

This is perfect for what we need. It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off. It has a light that turns off so you know it's done. You can't measure or set the temperature, but we don't really need that for our purposes.

I bought this to replace my old Cosori kettle — which I was very happy with — when I cracked the spout. What a disappointment. Cosori has reduced the quality of this product dramatically. The plastic parts are flimsy. The lid no longer fits securely, and as a result boiling water spills from the top when you pour it. I returned it after only a few days and bought a different brand. No more Cosori products for me. UPDATE: I bought an Oxo Brew Cordless Electric Tea Kettle to replace this Cosori and am very happy with the Oxo. The lid fits securely, boiling water pours neatly, and the plastic parts feel much sturdier.

This is the second time that this has happened. The glass broke when we just picked up the pot, with no obvious cause. I am going to have to find another brand to replace it with this time! This one lasted 8 months, the one before it lasted only 10 months. I don’t know what happened!

My husband and I absolutely love our new Corsori glass electric tea kettle! I wish I would have bought it years ago. It takes minutes to heat up and you don't have to replace it like you would an aluminum or steel kettle.

This was pretty much the only electric kettle I could find with all of the features I wanted. Those included 1.5+L volume, preset temperatures, temperature hold, and no plastic in contact with water. My last kettle had a fully plastic lid and it eventually started to smell awful.

So far I'm really happy with this one; the temperatures are accurate enough as far as I can tell and the sidewalls are glass all the way up with the underside of the lid being metal. The non-removable lid is a trade-off; it's slightly harder to clean, but it's nice to add more water when the kettle is hot without having to take off a hot lid.
