Opened a new Capital One account to replace a credit union account and get decent interest again. Looking forward to being able to manage account online.
After doing the whole set up thing, I find that I can’t use the app for anything besides looking at my account because they can’t verify my mobile phone on my 10+ year Verizon account. I got an error message with a slew of things that might be wrong. Fast forward past an hour of sleuthing and trying to get through to a person on their horrible phone bot, and they tell me that I won’t be able to use the app which doesn’t happen until sometime around a month, but no promises as to when. They promise this is their normal procedure! So, I have a bank account but no way to use it. Phone svc is a joke. The nearest physical location is not close AND has terrible reviews.
Looking elsewhere. Save yourself a hassle and skip Capital One.

I would give 5 stars but you still haven’t upgraded my secured card so I’m going to give 4 stars.
For some reason while in the app I’m prompted twice to provide the 6 digit verification code. I received the first code fine, but the second code stalled. I even asked to resend the code I didn’t received that either. Now needlesss to say I have spent a few days trying to help myself. Capital one and Apple SUPPORT, have been GREAT in trying to help me. So in short you can only imagine the exasperated trouble shooting efforts that have been done to no avail. I would like to enjoy being able to use the zelle feature but am no longer able to use do to this verification code thingy!! PLEASE HELP ME!
I don’t like having to use a 6 digit code to sign in to my account each time and is very cumbersome…….why is this necessary?

If you use this account watch your money and keep track of it because they will slowly take money out of your account without letting you know. I would not recommend them.

I’m so thankful that the door with the opportunity was here to start my credit life after so many years of being out of America. I left and never thought I would return and was wondering who would open the door for me to have a credit card. When I was told Capital One start people out with no credit I got online immediately and join. The opportunity of joining was so easy. It is so great to be Capitol One member. Thank you Capitol One… You all turned me down on my Business Card. But I’m still thankful for the other 2 Capitol One cards.

I’m enjoying this service……the only thing I don’t like is when I pay my entire bill early multiple times throughout the month my account becomes restricted because of unusual activities…..almost like it’s a crime of impossible for someone to pay in full on time

I opened this checking account because it has really good perks when traveling. However, it does take almost a week to complete a transfer! I had lost my Chase debit card andase a transfer to this account so I can use it for the mean time, but it was of no help.
I found my Chase debit card and the money is still not available 😐
It would be great if it didn’t take forever to make the money available!
