The Amazon Firestick receives mixed reviews, with some customers experiencing problems with the equipment and remote. Complaints include the device being slow, constantly updating and taking up too much space, and the remote draining batteries too quickly. However, others are happy with the product and its easy-to-use features, such as Alexa integration, access to streaming platforms, and an extensive content library. Some customers also appreciate the convenience of being able to watch TV without standing up. Overall, the Firestick is a decent device, but it may not be suitable for everyone.

Took 30 minutes to set up (and I'm old and not good with electronics). Just ask for a channel, show, character, or subject and it comes up. I love it. The hardest part for me, is remembering what I'm looking for!
I got this in March and as of a few weeks ago (May) all my apps require updating and my fire stick says I don’t have the storage space. I have a fire stick in 3 others rooms that I didn’t buy from this seller that work perfectly. This is actually the second one I buy from this seller that is faulty. I do not recommend.
At first they work great, but then all the pre-installed, useless, amazon apps just get updated over and over and over, and they take up MAJORITY of the data so the fire stick starts running slower and slower and slower. It kicks you out of apps because it can load anything. Get a Roku and don’t waste your money on their trash device. Heavily DO NOT recommend
The Prime Stick opens up a world of entertainment possibilities. With access to popular streaming platforms, such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, and more, I can easily explore and enjoy a wide range of movies, TV shows, documentaries, and even live sports. The extensive content library ensures that there is always something for everyone.
This product is lazy. I had to replace an older version that died, and this one was unable to copy my settings from the previous because there wasn't enough space. Amazon added more required apps, so therefore the apps that I actually USE don't fit anymore. The update made it less usable... I'm down to just 5 apps of my choosing, and even so I still can't update... Let me remove the 37 stupid apps I'll never use please!!!
Needless to say, this cheap option has officially measured up to the "you get what you pay for" mantra. And it might be too expensive now at that.
I have more than a few broken Firesticks. I purchased one as a backup for when the next one breaks. Guess What? Another one down the drain. But, since I already had a "new" unopened one on hand, and ready to get me back to wasting time watching TV. Easy setup. I just logged in, and a few steps later, Amazon was setting it up like my old broken firestick. The firestick lasted about six weeks before it complained that it was full. Amazon pushed so much software, the Firestick could not operate. It's like the old MS blue screen of death. Just now "FireTV" of death. Contacted Amazon and although they were pleasant, they did not help. They offered to sell me another and suggested an additional warranty for an additional fee. Wait a minute, I purchased this 9 months ago. It's not covered by warranty? NOPE! they only come with a 3-month warranty. I'm so surprised that Amazon does not even have confidence in its own branded product. I find it funny that they offer a 20% discount if you send in your old broken firestick. They get to see the same crap over and over again. I am now searching for a better solution and I think I found it.
awesome
Got this for my Samsung tv that doesn’t have a remote control and didn’t have a problem connecting it to my tv. Now I can use my tv without standing .
We bought this back in April and it took us a few weeks before we used it the first time. After we plugged it in and started using it our TV started randomly shutting off, not only when we were using the fire stick but also when we were on the smart tv function. We finally unplugged it last week and our TV has had no issues since. We bought it because we can’t use D-stream on our smart tv without it but now we are just projecting it from our phones since the fire stick was obviously bad.
Yes, used new Energizers right out of a new box. First set lasted one day. Thought maybe bad battery. Next set, same thing.
We had it for a year and a half. We have two of them, both broke, the remote stopped working and the equipment is now faulty.
Works great
Me agrado el equipo pero el problema que tengo es que el control se desconecta y me consume 3b pares de batería por día, osea que en mi opinión esta defectuoso, necesito que me ayuden por favor con eso
Ended up buying hdmi and hooking up laptop for the shows. It's just too slow and glitchy
you are constantly having to change the batteries everytime you touch the remote. so aggravating!
Everything is fine. Just runs super slow on all of my TVs and monitors.
Easy to use. I like Alexa features
It's not 4k
We have Prime streaming subscription and a firestick. During the past three months, the firestick acted erratically as both the directional and fast forward buttons seemed to have a mind of their own. There's no control where it goes. You ended up pushing the button and hoping it will lend on where you want. Sometimes, it just went from one end of the menu to the other end, no matter how quickly and carefully you released the button. So we bought a new one thinking maybe the old one had seen better days. The new one worked for about an hour and it did exactly the same thing! It's so frustrating to try to get to where you want. (It's worse if you tried to use the on screen keyboard.) I checked the internet and apparently this is not a new phenomenon. Amazon knew about this and just kept selling this crap.
Great to have this fire stick for TV. So much to watch saving money dropped charter cable just couldn't afford it anymore
The Firestick Is a good device. The problem is the remote is too small. It gets eaten by the couch or dog. No other remote in my house has this problem. It’s like a credit card going in the cushion or a chewy for your dog.
This product is slow and hardly has any available space. Amazon apps that you can’t delete take up a big chunk of the space you have. Several apps won’t even work. This is the 2nd fire stick we have had and we are switching to something else.
Takes a bit of getting used to but with Prime subscription, Prime Video is great! Great movie selections, original programming is quality, A list actors and shows you’ll love. Access to other broadcasters like Tubi, some commercials on free channels.
Stopped working. Have done all troubleshooting steps on Amazon. I have to use an app now. Replaced batteries and even bought new ones. Nothing. Works once then back to only volume control. Can't get any help or replacement
Firestick remote batteries are going out every other day. Ridiculous. Wish I could give zero stars.
This one works better than the previous version, which is what you would expect. The addition of extra keys enhances this version's desirability.
Bought Oct. 9, 2022. I moved. The remote and fire stick sat unused for 3 months. Plugged it in, got about a month of use before the remote stopped working. Amazon won’t do anything to fix the problem. Less than 6 months of not even daily use, and I now have to buy a new remote!
I purchased this in February. Activated sometime in March. Used until May. 3 months? It now drains the batteries in a few hours and cannot be fixed. I should be able to return it or replace it but no says my 'custmer support' window is closed. And, I should not have to purchase extra protection plans on every item I buy. What happened to good quality and basic customer service
The firestick keeps kicking you out of programs. Very slow in response to clicks. Opens what you haveNOT asked for or clicked on
Bought it only due to the fact my tv broke and a free one came available with no smart tv. Nor antenna options.
Amazon fire sticks are Amazing. Definitely worth the money
