Yale's new smart lock app receives negative feedback

Users of the old app are also complaining that they can no longer use it as Yale has forced them to switch to the new version.

  • Worst product update ever.

    Nothing works. I have followed all instructions and tested out all suggested remedies. Old app worked perfectly. New app can’t find my lock.

    Worst part though is that customer service refuses to help. Simply sends a bully list of suggested remedies. And yes, I’ve tried them all. Terrible Yale. The recent update with “bug fixes” solved absolutely nothing.

  • App crashes all the time

    The app crashes when I open it and the automatic unlock does not work anymore. I have connected to the lock again through the new app and set up automatic unlock and allow location services always.

    I miss the old app that seemed to work.

      FÄr ikke logget inn, prÞver Ä resette passord og mÄ verifisere bÄde telefonnummer og e-post (fÄr verifikasjonskode pÄ begge (i spamfilter pÄ mail)), og nÄr jeg skal skrive nytt passord fÄr jeg bare feilkode uansett hva jeg skriver eller genererer med password manager. August-1 eller noe, stÄr det bare. FÄr ikke brukt denne appen, og blir automatisk kastet til AppStore av den gamle appen.

      Ingenting som fungerer lengre etter den nye oppdateringen kom, blir kastet ut av appen, mÄ opprette nytt passord for hver gang jeg skal logge inn, fÄr ikke tilgang til dÞra gjennom appen. Heldigvis 100 dagers Äpent kjÞp pÄ ElkjÞp og denne lÄsen gÄr rett tilbake til butikk.
