Service could be better but food is awsome
Best calzone and pastas 😋 😍 👌 ❤️
I reside in Canada and was in UK and wanted to book a venue for Lunch where my extended family could celebrate my son's Graduation and we could have a family reunion for 16 Adults & 2 children. I contacted Zizzi Canary Wharf in UK by email. I got a lovely response from Tania saying that they can accommodate my group. I booked Zizzi for Saturday Lunch. Upon arrival I asked a tall gentleman in Zizzi if I could see where my group would be sitted and he kindly showed me the area at the side which was nice & perfect for my family. I met Alexandria who was our wait staff and she was really very friendly , helpful, welcoming and provided us with excellent service. She was instrumental in making our family get together so wonderful & memorable. My family liked her too as she was friendly & welcoming and excelled our expectations. This made our overall experience at Zizzi Canary Wharf so nice & enjoyable. Our starters & main meal was served quickly, and we appreciate the chef & staff. Farseena took our food & drinks orders and she too was friendly & welcoming & helpful.I would definitely book Zizzi Canary Wharf again. A special Thank-you again to Alexandria. As the saying goes you may not always remember exactly what someone has said to you BUT you will always remember how they made you feel. Alexanderia made us feel special and we will always remember that.
Decent food, friendly staff. Simple but good.
The food and place itself are nice. The service, however, is appalling. After getting the orders it becomes almost impossible to order anything else without having to get up from the table. The staff, instead of being attentive to what happens on the floor, are more concerned in being at the bar talking with each other and doing shots than their actual jobs. Yes... doing shots at the bar... you've read correctly. This is something that should be done in their own time and not while on the clock.I also find it poor service that at least 1h and 40m prior to closing time, costumers cannot get an espresso after finishing their meals. When I inquired why this happens, the answer from the waiter was "well, it's closed, you can go check if you want".Dreadful and lazy service. None of our group will be going back. I would invite the higher management to look at the security tapes (if possible) to see this thoroughly unprofessional behaviour.
Just wanted a hearty bowl of noodle but the Marugame Udon was totally packed on the Bank Holiday Monday. Came to Zizzi instead because it is just next to it. Maybe because another Italian restaurant I visited yesterday raised the bar too high, I didn't find the food very impressive, neither the service. With two tables required to be served at the time I arrived, I stood at the reception for a few minutes, and no one was there. During the time I was having my three-course meal, no one came to ask how the food is. Same situation applied to the other two tables next to me. But when the staff came, they were all with smiles and polite as well. The three-course tasted average but the portion is good. I guess it is how chain restaurants taste like. Nothing to complaint about but nothing much to expect. Price is reasonable though, especially in Canary Wharf.
