Halo Collar: Customer Service and Training Praise with Technical Concerns

Wish Halo had a Lock Screen widget or a button to warn from the app screen.

The collar would sometimes put feedback through but for the most part just couldn’t even tell the dog was outside the boundary. It also wouldn’t give the emergency feedback to the dog when it was pressed I tested it on myself. Such a waste of $700 might as well just get a regular shock collar and a gps one like fi which is overall just better

We purchased a used Halo collar last week. We had some questions about the collar settings and training so I used the Dog Park online to get assistance. I was concerned that they wouldn't provide support since I bought our collar used. I was very pleasantly surprised. They were happy to provide support. The representative provided me lots of information, answered all my questions, and checked on the health of my collar online. She was very professional, helpful, and pleasant. I totally recommend Halo and am very pleased with our collar.

We live in a neighborhood with a lot of yard. We didn’t want to limit our dog’s ability to not being able to use the full yard with a wireless fence so we bought the halo collar about a year ago. It’s been great for us to be able to let him go out whenever he wants to and I can just track him on my phone. There has been a few issues recently with the GPS signal and it beeping and shocking him when he’s been inside the safe zone but the customer service rep was able to help and fix the problem. I’m hoping we can get him to trust the collar again so he can enjoy his big back yard again.

I had a great experience with the dog park support I received yesterday. I was able to connect by video call with a person who gave me one on one support for my questions. She was great, and the whole thing went very quickly.

Based on videos and talking to the support person, the process of creating a fences is a little more difficult for someone like me who has a lot of trees on their property. You have to go in and out of editing the fence to see yourself in relation to the fence.

So far the app has been great otherwise!

We live in a pretty rural area with few neighbors and leave our dog out during the day using the halo collar to keep track of his movements.
He very quickly learned his boundaries and responds the to warnings.
I appreciate the notifications and can see him turn around and head away from the boundaries.
The various maps are also very easy to set up, we keep several locations saved for visits with friends and family.
Quite often I log in just to see what he’s up to and enjoy watching his meandering's.
The battery fully charged lasts about 22 hours, the collar itself is very durable, I use the magnetic charge port which so far fits easily, I could see where debris may get inside at some point, maybe a dust cover type of addition would be helpful to keep it cleaner.
Very rarely do I use the app for warnings but it is helpful to have it handy when I do.
Overall worth the money and hopefully it lasts a long time, I’ve had it about 4 months.
