Google Translate's recent update received mixed reviews, with users praising the new design and functionality while criticizing issues such as freezing, language availability, and the loss of certain features. Users highlighted concerns about inaccuracies in translations, lack of language options like Syriac and Assyrian, and difficulty in switching between formal and informal language. The app's audio output function for Farsi and the transcribe function were also mentioned for improvement. Overall, the reviews indicate a need for better user interface, more language options, enhanced translation accuracy, and fixes for bugs and glitches.

I live learning phrases etc but id love to speak and it audibly translates to spanish if im missing something Please tell me
Recent changes where we can no longer coax the system to force the informal âtuâ or the formal âvousâ - we used to be able to put tu/vous directly into the English version in place of âyouâ to force the translationâŠnow it completely ignores this and just randomly gives us tu or vous forms as it sees fit - which has nothing to do with our desired translation.
Also with the part tense we used to be able to add âit rainedâ to translate to the passĂ© composĂ© and then âit was rainingâ to translate to the imperfect. But now it also ignores our input and decides on its own. This defeats the purpose of its not translating what Iâm telling it I want.
Huge ongoing glitch! They donât specify the gender on French nouns that begin with vowels. Most words you can see le for masculine or la for feminine. But for nouns the begin with vowels itâs contracted to lâ so we canât tell the gender. Iâve send several pieces of feedback to correct this glitch by using the indefinite article un or une instead, which is never contracted or just by identifying the noun as masc or fem. Itâs been years of me among suggestions and Google refuses to fix this design flaw.
Such as different voices instead we are not able to choose male or female, accent or no-accent, etcâŠ.
I thought this was a free app, why was I charged. Also donât even see how I can cancel so I wonât be charged again thatâs typical of Google and Iâm such a fan of Google.
This app constantly freezes and doesnât work. It will sit blank and then tell you have no internet connection when you have 5G and youâre connected to wifi.
add option to disable microphone beep
itâs only silent when volume is turned all the way down - still beeps even when silent switch is toggled
