I found the book an easy read and quite enjoyable. It answered a lot of curiosities i had about bikes. It explained how to buy one that fits and about do's and dont's when using and maintaining your bike.
An awesome read for all cyclist, particularly the beginner and not so beginner. It leads and counsels the reader as acting as a cyclist advocate in getting a bicycle that will be the perfect fit without falling for the latest trends emanating from speed cyclist.
Grant's philosophy of biking and bike equipment changed my life what is now quite awhile back. Stumbled on Rivendell looking for Campy-style road pedals when I was looking for ways to deal with joint issues, got one of his early newsletters with the pedals, read it and went from "who does this guy think he is" to "this guy makes a lot of sense". Ended up with a Hilson frame which I rode until I couldn't, loved every minute of it.
Liked the book. But if youâre looking for next bike book go no further than Itâs All About the Bike.
This book cuts through the hype and arrogance of racing culture. Peterson offers practical, down home information on how to enjoy a wonderful hobby.
After reading this book, I am enjoying bike riding more.
