My family's worst vacation experience. Our room got blacked out with no reason. Half of room service menu is not available.Many items on Bar menu is not available.Half of restaurant menu is not available and ,if you are lucky, they will tell you that they are out of it. On unlucky day, they will just not bring the food even you waited for an hour.They told us to get up while we were eating so they can sweep the mess the prior customer made even after we waited extra 30 min for them to sweep prior to sitting down. We ordered 8 lobster tails for 5 people but after an hour of wait, we got 2 tails to share.Pack your food because you will be starving!
Beautiful all inclusive hotel. First time in DR and it was a unforgettable experience. Hands down to the entertainment team, Carlos, Brian, alejando, the queen, victor the concierge at the beach. Also from the restaurants they did all in their power to provide a good service was Maximo, Billie, Pedro and wandy. From the spa you have jan Carlo, Juan and Aleidy. From the bar a big shout out to Heric the bar that is located in the finest club. Pros of the hotel .. no sea weed at the beach everything was clean and new. The rooms were modern and eco friendly. Excellent amenities and everything was with in walking distance. Food was delicious and drinks as well. A true all inclusive hotel lobster was included 24hr room service. The cons is the music that is play at the gym is relaxing music that makes you want to sleep. At checking in we were never offer a free upgrade or a pay one to a swim out pool or roof tops and we would have like one just like the rest of my family they all got one even though they booked the regular rooms. At checking in they ask at what time you would like room service. But in one week they never came on time even though the hotel was at 30% capacity. Soji restaurant we all dislike their food and service we had to stand up and leave. They didnât brought half of what we order they have a weird system running the tables. And the guy that brings the food to you table was putting the food in any order and wasnât even saying what it was. Overall it was an amazing experience I would go back again in a couple of years.
everyone is super nice and happy. From Edwardo the bell boy that ran after us to bring us the charger we forgot in the room. To Aurora from the excellence club that was the most patient abs generous host I ever met, to Norvin the tennis coach that was so professional energetic that I booked 3 private lessons with him (and he was as pet as patient with me as he was with the 6 years old abs the 12 years old that came to tennis clinics) Chef Kawasaki yordanys aponte cocinero and Yosaily de La cruz were so much fun at the the Japanese restaurant where we had the tappaniaki dinnerâŚAnd Iâm deeply sorry for not remembering the restaurant manager at brass the steakhouse for saving us the best table for our last day⌠ans thatâs only who my poor memory remembered. Everyone and I mean everyone were the nicest ppl I have ever metYou probably think Iâm over exaggerating, but Iâm not. Iâm usually pretty harsh judge. They were so good. You can just see that in the little things where the house cleaning crew comes a few times every day. Abs at night they leave a bottle of water and a glass on each night stand. When our safe got jammed they send someone to fix it in less than 15 min.The beach was literally less than 80 feet from our room and damn it is such a pretty beach! You got beach beds and everywhere and it all so clean.You got a server coming every 30-60 min and ask you if you would like anythingâŚThe shows at night were great as well and you can see many of the staff joining dancing and singing creating unbelievable experience.Everything is so clean, like extremely super clean which is really important to us.With 10 restaurants abs so many bars all over the place the only complaint I have is for myself for eating to much.Do yourself a favor and book them, it would be the best vacation decision you would make in a while.
This resort has just opened (oct. 1st), then it was not the crowd at the hotel but it was what we were looking for for this trip. The hotel is just great! Food is excellent (even the wine is good), choice of restaurant is wide, the service is superior, people are devoted and friendly, the beach is fantastic and even it the hotel would be full capacity, I'm under the impression there will be enough beach chair and palapas. You find beach towel easily when you need to switch and they are available, display on racks. We are not type of people returning at the same hotel but our experience was so good, we will certainly return at the Finest!
We stayed in November 2022 and we lost cash from our room. The money wasnât lying around in the room but was intentionally taken from one of our passport holders and one of our cash envelopes containing exchanged US dollars. They only took the 100 dollar bills and didnât touch the other lower denominations. We reported this to the front desk and a security officer and one of the concierge went to our room to ask questions and asked us to fill out a report. They said it will take 24-48 hours for the investigation. On the night before our departure there was still no update on the investigation and on the day of our departure they said they still havenât finished the investigation and will send an email once it is done. It has been a month since and I havenât heard back anything from the resort. This is very unfortunate since the resort was good but if instances like this are not handled properly then I wouldnât be coming back and wonât be recommending it to anyone. Beware!
It was always a surprise getting your meal at the Finest since the description didn't match your dish of food. Many times up to 3-4 items were missing (salad, soup) or fish not cooked as described. I was also appalled to see sushi with cream cheese as this is not all authentic. Perhaps best to hire a Japanese chef to teach or don't attempt Asian cuisine at all.Wifi was very poor and resort wasn't even close to capacity. Disappointing for a new resort ie. poor planning.Gym classes listed daily but no action at the gym. Perhaps the trainer Miguel was too busy. At the Majestic Mirage gym classes would occur even with one client. This is just poor service and/or poor policy.Drinks at the Excellence Club lounge were top notch. At the beach not so much. Service at the Excellence Club restaurant Dommo also much better than in rest of resort ie. didn't pour rose wine into a used red wine glass like at Shoji etc.My experience at the Finest in Mexico was so much better in all aspects. Time to switch countries and give up on DR.
