I love Safeway. Been a customer for 50 plus years. I watch ads and try to shop smart. But, I absolutely HATE the digital coupons. Itβs like I have to jump through very confusing hoops to get the sale. Wish you would rethink this gimmick.

Make checkout connected with just for u discounts. Will shop more if there is no extra hassle of adding the items digitally before checking out? I have the phone number why canβt the system suggest the item I am buying has discount and allow to add discount during checkout

For some reason a decision was made to roll out the pharmacy portion of this app before checking to see if the application actually works. Iβve gotten the biggest run around by customer support on the issue of adding an adult dependent. What a waste of time! The Safeway pharmacy app worked just fine. Yes, the pharmacy app was a separate app. Leave it to Safeway to screw up a good thing. By the way, they show an elderly person in the new app to add a dependent but then tell you that only dependents under 18 can be added!?! Then they tell you they can merge accounts if you to create an account for your adult dependent but thatβs also not true. Get it together developers!
Just opened (on iPad) and it had updated. Now each search results in an error message, or worse, it sends you to a βPartnerβ site and forgets what you searched for. Iβm trying to set up a basket at my local store and when I search for βCabbageβ or βKefirβ or really anything, they send me to another company? Please start over on this app.

I made an order on May, 17 and still didnβt receive. Status shopping complete. Now I have not the money (hold) and the order! Storeβs customer service was like: βI have to wait response from IT-departmentβ. IT-department, in turn, are silent.

App is no longer applying clipped, eligible coupons to my order. Ordered my groceries for pick up from a competitor this week as a result. Please fix!
This app is junk!!!
It says it has clipped a deal and it is not in the clipped deals! I have to delete the the app and reload. I hold my breath the next time and it might work. No support to call.
Updated app. Won't load. Deleted, downloaded again. Still will not load. Won't be shopping at Safeway. Was sick of shopping with cell phone in hand anyway. Sick of having to use self check out while 6+ employees were doing nothing. Store is a joke.

I have a brand new iPhone 14 pro max and still canβt scan the barcode coupons. I had the same issue with my previous iPhone. Very frustrating when you are starting to scan the codes in the store and you canβt scan for the digital coupon.

Hate this stupid app. Try to use this ap remotely and it asks you multiple times to verify by sending codes to email during the same login event I got 4 codes in 4 minutes. I just want to use it for the pharmacy. Love the pharmacist but may change where I source our medications because this app is so awful!
Very useful to prep for deals at home, when it worked. Now it doesnβt work, while I am at home, with my good Wi-Fi. The problem being having a VPN on your phone. So either you canβt use the app, or just knowing where you are shopping and buying isnβt enough, and they want you to expose yourself on their open Wi-Fi network.
Love the prices and I love that I can get my groceries delivered!!

Makes shopping easy, but way too many items are unavailable, and some that arenβt when I order them but are substituted at the last minute.
I was prompted to update yesterday and now my app wonβt work properly. It opens but I get a service problem prompt on every feature I try to open. It was doing that off and on before the update so I figured it was trying to force me to update. But now itβs worse.
Very user friendly, you can schedule pickup orders on the same day even on weekends, some other apps wonβt overbooks orders. The paid membership pretty much pays for itself with 5 dollars back every month. The main thing I donβt like is there is no options to not substitute items ahead of time, it would be so much easier for customers and employees. On that same issue they donβt tell you an item is out of stock in advance no text or app notifications. A personal request you can get some items from the deli for pickup and some you canβt and the only thing I really want from the deli is just wedges which you canβt schedule for pick up.
App no longer works since the update last week. I tried uninstalling and installing again. Still receive errors. Very frustrating.
