Very good service and desired within days
Visited this outlet yesterday at 7:20pm in order to return a small item. Was advised that they only accept returns from items purchased from that store and was advised to go to Murrayfield, a few miles away.It seems that information on the Argos website is incorrect. Customer service is very poor.Argos and Sainsbury's - best avoided.
My delivery was on time,the delivery driver rang me an hour before delivery, to give me a delivery time.They brought the sofas in,they took care with the sofas,so as not to damage them,told me where the feet were.

I’ve always liked and used the system of ordering and paying online and then text my husband the order number so he can collect the item on his way home from work as there is an Argos close by. I don’t shop there as often as I used too but Argos has been great for emergencies e.g when my kettle broke 2 days before Xmas and an online delivery from elsewhere wouldn’t have arrived in time or when my Iron stopped working recently I was able to replace it the same day. Also handy for buying cheap clothes rails when I bought a second home and had no wardrobes. However I am disappointed that my Argos card was not renewed after years of having one just because it had been a while since I used it. I always paid it off in full the following month anyway but it seems they want people to owe money and pay interest. Unfortunately I don’t ‘do debt’ but liked the option of paying straightaway or giving myself an extra month before paying in full
Bought a laptop 3 months ago and has started to fall apart. Was told to take it to local store, Gypsy Lane ,Luton. Was told by a counter assistant that the damage was caused by negligence I ask you?!!. I found this store lacking greatly in customer service and the fact that this patronising assistant refused to refund ,exchange or even offer to have the laptop looked at by an expert very annoying. Argos I join the ranks of disgruntled customers who won't be back .

Quick, efficient, no fuss service
Bought a washing machine for my elderly mother. Paid the £50 in good faith to have it installed and old one taken away. This was beginning of June. Noticed her kitchen floor was soaking wet four or five days after installation and the flooring had warped and lifted. Called Argos customer services they sent out a Hoover approved engineer to investigate. He sent a report to Argos that It was not the washing machine, it was a faulty installation that caused the leak. Argos said installation company they use would be in contact in 48hrs. We are now two months down the line and a fall my mother had over the warped flooring as she uses either a walker or a walking stick. Numerous calls to Argos getting absolutely nowhere. Disgusting service from a massive company, a household name you think shall not let you down and you can trust. I can provide photos of the floor.

Only had TV about 15 - 16 months , not used loads so hence very disappointed that the TV is no longer working, when it comes on there is a line going across the screen, tried all the reset options, but don't work. I have called and spoken to Argos and have been told, its broken , repair it or buy a new one, no offer to even inspect. This was a Hitachi 58 Inch 58HK6200U Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freeview TV and I wish I had done my homework more as this seems to be a BIG problem with them.....I have not even had the offer to inspect the TVI wont be using Argos again if this is their attitude

I had to return an electronic product that has failed. No big deal. It happens. The staff member in store was as helpful as they could possibly be while their hands were tied behind their backs! My replacement item will be coming in next day. Someone has made the decision to close an Argos store in Scunthorpe and embed the branch in a Sainsbury’s with an absolute fraction of the warehouse space. So if you want your item today, it will not be in stock. The reason- sic “So it’s more convenient for me to grocery shop at the same time”Argos, stay in your lane and out of the customer manipulation business.
The chairbed was damaged when delivered.Customer service was very helpful and efficient. Resolved the issue, and a replacement was sent out to us promptly.

I won’t be using Argos again. The product information on the website was inaccurate. Trying to organise a return and refund meant going through endless processes, dealing with virtual assistants - which didn’t assist at all, and having to chase up my refund. I’m really not impressed!

I bought a mobile phone from Argos - it was faulty and I took it back to get a replacement. I was told they do not do this, I have to take it home and try and mend it myself.When is a 12 month guarantee not a 12 month guarantee ? Obviously - at Argos, Very poor
travelled 20 mile round trip to buy a tv from Bromsgrove store .....no customer parking to the rear as the spaces are taken up by staff members cars and zero help in store when I said I had a disability and needed help with the tv - I was told that if I did park out the back of the store I could be clamped .....NICE!!!!! so I came away with a sour taste in my mouth and certainly won't be using Argos again
The delivery is beyond and on time , really carefully.
Bought a washing machine which was duly delivered and all was fine until it broke. Contacted customer service who couldn't arrange an exchange because it was out of stock, and wouldn't arrange an exchange for a different machine - no reason given for this, so we bought a replacement from Currys and arranged for delivery two days after Argos were due to collect their machine. On the day the broken machine is to be collected I go on the online chat to find out what time, only to be told it had not been "processed correctly" and wouldn't be collected. I'd have to wait another 5 days for collection (and for my refund)Insisted on speaking to someone by phone, and someone did actually call me. I explained that we had a replacement booked from Curry's and couldn't have two washing machines. Argos rep suggested we delay the Currys delivery - assuming that we could do this and that there wouldn't be a charge for doing so. Won't do that, will just leave the broken machine outside and they can collect it, not my problem anymore. Not sure why customers are expected to work around Argos's cock up.
