  • Good substance, terrible product

I have had this book for exactly one month, and it’s falling apart. The binding is terrible, and the book itself physically feels and cheaply made - including its massive font.

  • Awesome reference

Although not required for my courses yet, I bought it early because I’m always referencing the library’s online version. Lots of great information on Art Therapy not just the pioneers.

  • the case of the disintegrating textbook

I like the book, but after using it for only two weeks, the binding came apart and the pages are all falling out!
This supposedly was a new book and I haven't treated it any differently than any of my other textbooks. And as I am working on my THIRD master's degree...I have had experience with LOTS of textbooks. My guess is it is old or was stored in a hot warehouse somewhere and the glue disintegrated...although that was not indicated when I bought the book...so disappointed because now I can't sell it back. Who wants a book with the pages falling out???

  • Wonderful and encyclopedic story about the development of Art Therapy

This is an excellent book for those who want to understand the pioneers of art therapy in the U.S. After reading this book, I feel I gained important knowledge about the development of Art Therapy. Most important is that Art Therapy is a discipline that defies quick and easy explanation. Like art itself, Art Therapy can be understood from a myriad of perspectives. I wish I had read this book earlier in my career. It would have helped me to understand and explain my career in New ways.

  • The book is full of great information but HORRIBLY written

The book is full of great information but HORRIBLY written. I'm seriously editing as I go -- I have half a mind to send it back to the publisher in case they do another edition. It's filled with horrific comma usage, fragments, run-ons, and just exceptionally bad grammar all around. If you can get past all that, the information within the text is wonderful. But be ready to cringe as you read.

  • good things to those who wait

first time around funniest story I had a compilation of snippets from 5 of their publications upsides down and backwards and none of which were actually this text . I ordered early and didn't open until after I needed it but Amazon was a doll and got me the correct book which is really well laid out and informative I don't even have a bad binding copy like ive heard some people complain about.
