A modern hotel. Easy to find in the centre of Waterloo with its own parking. We splashed out for a larger executive room. It was well appointed with a good bathroom. Reception was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent, way above expectations. Breakfast was good with cereals on offer and a choice of freshly made hot dishes. Orange juice was disappointing but that is so often the case. Very convenient for visiting the Waterloo battlefield, only ten minutes drive away. Our friends, staying in another part of the hotel, complained of loud noise in the night from a party of (French-speaking) drunks outside - so management needs to monitor that carefully. I would recommend that the owners install a Suitepad in the room as this would give access to local information, hotel services and the wifi code which I got wrong as it was hand-written on our key card. The wifi was excellent when I finally mastered the password. I would also recommend the addition of a high speed charger for electric cars.âŚ
We pass once a year through Brussels and always stayed in town but Waterloo is much more convenient, less crowded, less expensive to park ... and the CôtÊ Vert is charming, quiet, and offers a pleasant restaurant with an interesting selection, and good quality at fair prices (250⏠for 4 people à la carte, inlc. a bottle of wine). And the staff and service are perfect, courteous and efficient. Decoration of the hallways and rooms is a bit drab and aggressive but these are details.
Hotel is quiet, clean, cosy and has everything you can expect from a three to four star hotel. But the BIG surprise is the restaurant. Excellent, high standard food, exceptional service, very good wine offer, fair prices. Place is highly recommended
I stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel is just off the main street of Waterloo. I had a room on the 1st floor it was comfortable, clean, bed very good enabling a good night's sleep, the bathroom well equipped plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent, hot breakfast cooked to order , service very good. Excellent little bar , relaxing lounge. A great hotel highly recommended.
Although this hotel is located in the middle of Waterloo, it is a block back from the main street and is truly an oasis of peace and tranquility. The garden is absolutely lovely and you can sit outside and enjoy a drink from the bar. The rooms are comfortable and the service is excellent. The person who checked me in opened the garage for me so I could safely store my bicycle and was just super helpful in general. I will stay again.
We had a pleasant stay in this very well located hotel in Waterloo moments from the shops. The bedroom was a very good size well decorated and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was included and was very enjoyable with a limited menu.
Lovely hotel in a central but quiet location of Waterloo because it was set back from the main street with ample free parking. Breakfast was delicious and included Belgium cooked dishes. Receptionist was helpful and able to accommodate our family of four at very late notice, which we appreciated. Also, the children were conveniently placed in a room with a connection to our room. Unfortunately, neither room had a kettle and complimentary sachets of tea and coffee, which we would expect from a hotel of this standard. Within walking distance of the Wellington Museum, which we also enjoyed.
I was put up here for a night whilst on company business (the usual one we use was full) but what a change - I really enjoyed this place, with nice views and amenities. The room was pretty big, with a bed up one end and plenty of space around to easily accommodate visitors to the room. The views outside were pleasant (and being away fro the main road it was pretty quiet). I liked the bedside power points, soft lighting and spacious bathroom. There's also a walkway to the restaurant so you could remain under cover should there be adverse weather. I didn't bother eating out - just stuck to the nearby restaurant in which I had a small fish starter followed by ham in gravy (with potatoes) - both of which were pretty tasty. I'm actually booked in for a trip away this week, too! Looking forward to it.âŚ
The reception staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was large with a view to the garden as requested and the windows open ! Nice spaces in different parts of the hotel to sit and read, have a drink or meet with friends. The hotel is very quiet despite being very near to a major road, and has parking. Nice breakfast and good internet. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay to our surprise and deception. Though I presume the hotel caters a lot to meetings, I would expect that in early August, during summer vacations and tourists season the hotel restaurant should be open. We asked for two double rooms one with a large bed and the other with two twin beds, located near each other and with views on the garden. Unfortunately what had been prepared were two rooms with large beds. In the end, our children had a room in a different part of the hotel. The breakfast staff was a little harried and the information we were given about breakfast hours on week-ends was incorrect so we arrived at 10h45 (having been informed that breakfast was served till 11) to be informed the kitchen was closed. They did wait till we had breakfast from the cold buffet before clearing it however. Most hotel breakfast rooms serve until 11 on week.ends and it seems peculiar that this one closes earlyâŚ
Very nice and clean. Just in the middle of Waterloo. The restaurant was close due to.summer holidays but the hotel is in a very quite area. Prices are very good as well. Breakfast is ok but not so much variety.
