Beautiful Stay at the Letcher Boutique Hotel Duinoord! Peaceful and nature beauty! Don't stay here if you intend to go out at night and like something local because this place will not be it. In fact you might as well stay in Leiden or elsewhere besides Wassenaar, but I love this town and this location of the hotel. Near the beach, take a little hike or bike ride and enjoy nature! Def will stay here again
The room was extremely small. On top of being small, half the room had a beam that would work for short people, but not tall ones. The side tables were so small, you could not use them even to put a book on it. The light was also inadequate. Impossible to read in bed. There is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up two levels, not an easy task for someone over 65. We picked the larger of the 2 rooms that were available. I can not even begin to imagine what the smaller room must be like.
Restaurant and bar were both great. Food was good and Orlando our server was excellent. Rooms were small but nice. Meeting room was also well setup. Only criticisms would be that the in-room thermostat didn't seem to provide any change in temperature and like most hotels in the Netherlands, there was no hair conditioner provided. Would definiteley return.
Large terrace with many tables and a special sandpit for parents with children. View of the beautiful dunes around you. The menu card has a lot to offer. We had a tuna salad and a club sandwich and these were delicious. Plenty of seats in the shade.
We didn't stay at the hotel, but I walked in to ask reception if they could call me a taxi. My elderly mother had walked all the way along the beach from Scheveningen, but was too tired to go back. The Cuban man at reception tried his best, but all taxis were occupied. In the end he drove us in his own car to the nearest bus stop - excellent!
In the midst of the Wassenaar Dunes this hotel stands out. Near a crossroad of cycling and walkingpaths and a road leading to the shore this hotel seems always attrack people. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are well equipoed and comfortable. Here and there things malfunction, but what the heck! Food is good and the beer tasted even better in the comfort chairs near the fireplace.
The close proximity to Wassenaar beach is the major attraction of this hotel. In addition, the restaurant menu offers a good variety; the soups in particular are always very enjoyable. Breakfast is also never disappointing. However, the guest rooms require some refurbishment as they are starting to deteriorate.
We stayed a night in this classic and simple, but good hotel. It sits in tje dunes, less than 1 km frosea and not other signs of civilizations in the area. Good restaurant, good rooms and nice people.
We spent a couple of nights in the dunes. The staff was friendly, and very helpful. Food was very good and a great location for a day of bicycling in the forest and near the dunes. An easy ride into Den Haag for a meal or shopping. A bit pricey but good value. We will go back.
Last year we stayed two days in this hotel. It was very old and needed a rebuilding very badly. The breakfast and the dinners in this restaurant were good. We can also say this about the people who worked there. They were nice.

This hotel in a beautiful country location offers modern clean rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast. Some guests found the rooms small with limited storage and uncomfortable beds. However, the hotel's location in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park provides excellent opportunities for outdoor activities.
