This place is busy, always packed. The bar could be bigger, imo, so individual business travelers, like myself, are not taking up tables.
Get the French Toast in the morning. When my dish arrived, both tables on either side of me commented in jealously that...they chose poorly. It's amazing.More they chose poorly. It's amazing.
There was a trendy atmosphere but our table seating was awkwardly placed. Service started out good but went downhill. Server appeared to be disinterested in us and more focussed on the younger crowd. Food was average. The burger was tasty but on a soggy bun....Crab cake could have used more sauce. Very overpriced for the quality and comfort.More Crab cake could have used more sauce. A real small menu but that's not a big problem. But the prices aren't reasonable, sorry! And to immediately charge 20% for service is a bit rude
When the menu says "steak frites" and you ask if it comes with fries and the server says..."no" cause steak frises is fried steak ....that's a but weird.
The taste was good, service was friendly, music a bit too loud.

Came for the drinks, stayed for the charcutier board!
Yes, it's not cheap but the vibe, food/drink and servers are outstanding. It's not everyday that our bar bill was 3x that of the food bill! It was well worth it! My only "negative" is that...there we not as many cocktails to choose from as I had anticipated given it was a cocktail lounge that specialized in mid-century inspired drinks. Don't miss a change to check this bar out!More there we not as many cocktails to choose from as I had anticipated given it was a cocktail lounge that specialized in mid-century inspired drinks. My son orders a chicken ceasar salad and never received his chicken. Waiter did not notice for over 10 minutes. My husband ordered a burger and after a few bites realized there was a piece of chicken on the burger. Seriously, i am not kidding....I guess thats where my sons chicken went. Automatic 20% tip on bill which is a joke for this lack of service. Would not return due to poor service and lack of concern from wait staff. Would not return.

We went here with a group after theater going -- it was our first time here.
How fantastic to luck into this place! It was late after 10 pm and the menu choices were perfect for that time of night. All 3 of us had...French onion soup and really loved it. Also good cocktails. The waitress was super nice. The restrooms are clean and well appointed with doors that lock to close even. Will definitely return next time in DC and thinking of a place to go when many other favorite restaurants have closed.More French onion soup and really loved it. Also good cocktails. We visited Doyle in December and had a wonderful time. This place has a superb ambiance.
Charcuterie and Cheese boards were sumptuously crafted. Wine selection is small; however, offered bottles are of good quality. Specialty drinks are marvelous.
Thank you Gigi and Julien for making...this a memorable experience for usMore this a memorable experience for us
This restaurant had exceptional food, drinks, and the ambiance was fantastic. However, our dining experience was elevated with the phenomenal service provided by our waitress Kierra. Being on European time I had an early light meal in the Doyle Bar before heading to bed and it was perfect. I was given a lovely quiet table beside the lit fire where I could read my book while having dinner - great spot....I did notice on other evenings that it is quite a busy and lively spot later on in the evenings - great place to meet up with friends by the looks of it!More I did notice on other evenings that it is quite a busy and lively spot later on in the evenings - great place to meet up with friends by the looks of it!
Classy bar with good drinks, some complimentary snacks, and friendly, professional staff. Great street view of nearby park.
I have been coming here for years, and really do enjoy the outdoor ambiance. The servers are very well trained and consummate professionals. I think I may have to change my habits, though. This week I stopped by for ONE drink and a side of...fries. The bill came to $35. No joke. That is ridiculous.
$20 a drink? Autmatic 20% service charge (not for dinner, for a drink). Then they still hand you the credit card slip to sign, which allows you to enter an additional tip. Doyle's needs to figure out that they are in a very competitive area, and if they are going to rip off their customers by charging over the top prices for drinks, we will stroll up the street with our business. What a shame.More fries. The bill came to $35. No joke. That is ridiculous.

The staff was helpful, drinks were great and the Bao Buns and Falafel were great appetizers. ……………..
Cool bar for creative cocktails and a delicious casual dinner at the bar in the Dupont Circle Hotel. Lovely Art Deco style setting and it’s a great spot to meet friends in DC. Chilean See Bass was excellent as well as the Falafel starter.More
