  • Well organized library of practices. appropriation issue

    This is an excellent library of somatic practices. I find issue with appropriation. I have gotten extensive training in yoga, martial arts and eastern healing modalities and many of the practices in here come from ancient wisdom and cultures. This absolutely needs to be acknowledged instead of claimed as a western therapy or modality.

  • Book has poor print quality - looks bootleg

    Very fuzzy printing, text is not even in pure black color. Cannot be authentic production of book and lightly a bootleg copy. Missing a page and page numbers located in odd places (inner corner of page).

    Wasn’t what I was hoping for. Worksheets were simple and not really requiring a page for it. Just seemed like a stretch to publish the materials in a book. I wouldn’t buy it, I returned mine.

  • A Must Have Resource for Trauma Therapists

    I have purchased many therapy resource texts over the years. My library is extensive; however, few make it into my "great books" collection. Somatic Psychotherapy Toolbox has made it in. An absolutely superb resource for every therapists concerned with high-quality treatment of trauma.

    This book is laid out well. I like the gradual steps towards integrating Somatic work. Therapist first, know it, experience it, settle yourself first. Just what I was looking for.

  • Highly Recommend!

    Great guide for professionals or individuals. Can be used by yourself or with your therapist as a guide. Somatic Therapy is such an amazing resource to help with your Trauma, anxiety, panic attacks and depression. I am utilizing somatic therapy before I begin my EMDR.

  • YES there are PDF's!

    I own a holsitc healing practice and am training in Somatic practice for trauma. I'm finding the material in this book to be most helpful for both my professional and my client use. For those that are leaving reviews about the pdf's; THEY ARE available ! You simply have to go to the very back at the bibliography section, you will find it there.

  • Difficult to understand

    Very difficult to understand this book. It explains difficult positions without any drawings so I find that impossible to repeat them , you never sure if you are doing the exercises correctly. Writing is not enough to explain complex tools and exercises, Author should have known this. No benefit for me.

  • A lot of great material for therapists

    Since this book did not have much material to preview I didn't know what to expect, but took a chance since I had been to one of the author's workshops. Lots of things to absorb and try with myself and clients.
