  • A must read for every leader.

    I really enjoyed the audible version of this book as well - John reads it and adds some great commentary to his own book. The 21 laws could be studied on an annual basis. I loved the updated stories and the proof is in the pudding! John is a proven leader and besides the bible, this is one of the best books on leadership there is around.

  • Lessons for a lifetime

    In, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, John Maxwell coves the many facets that create an effective leadership process. Understanding this process is essential to becoming a great leader. The Law of Connection, one of the laws I found to be most important, states that leaders should touch a heart before asking for a hand. Moving people to action involves emotion, whether as leaders we like it or not! I could go on and on with nuggets of wisdom presented to me by Maxwell. Please read this book! Reading The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and passing them down to the younger generations will ensure we set our future leaders up for success!

    I found this book to be a fantastic summary of leadership principles ever leader should use to look inward to evaluate their own leadership strengths and flaws. I think this book would be helpful for anyone running an organization to better develop as a leader.

  • Fantastic book with a couple disagreements.

    Phenomenal book for the most part. Other reviewers mentioned the American industrialist perspective and to that I very much agree, but that's the literal point of the book. This book is about scaling up with an industial mentality, not creating your humble success then maintaining.

    The author is VERY religious and it shows in his example, and the people he is found around. While I myself hold a certain distaste for this, I do understand there are many people that hold these values, and I highly recommend learning how to handle this.

    Where I disagree with the book is that the book could use 5 fewer chapters, as many laws are redundant, and while I belive that he teaches solid foundations with EXPERIENCE and success, there are some points that he makes that keeps me questioning the arguments.

    In all the book has good reviews for a reason, and his experience is phenomenal. Take and leave what you want, but understand this guy does know his craft.

    The book starts out rather dry. However this was the most valuable read I have ever encountered on leadership. John is truly a teacher of leadership. A must read and reread.

    This book gives the insight that leaders need. I know that sounds cliche, but I'm serious. Give this book a shot, I'm probably the 10 millienth reader of it though, lol.
