Experience Delicious Middle Eastern Food at Zajal in Downtown Amman

Great place!! Felt very welcome and they changed my mind for getting really good traditinal food which was amazing!!

We ate with a group and were served the most delicious food! Great theatre as chef tipped the saucepan upside down to reveal the Maqluba (Makloubeh). It was simply delicious.

Took a long time for us to be served.
The Kubbeh was clearly frozen and then fried
Very oily food
The pizza was tasteless
Water was not requested and added to bill.

I’ve been in this place with my wife. The food was not so good and the price was very hi, in comparison with other places. In addition they asked me a tip of 15% of the bill. Absolutely unacceptable. I suggest to avoid.

This place is a real Tardis - hidden away up a steep set of steps it opens up into a really big space, including a large rooftop area.
Food good, lave immaculate and staff very welcoming. Well worth going to and amazing coffee/chocolate drinks.

They won me with a simple Shish Tawook (chicken skewer), but everything I tried was absolutely amazing... yamil, fatteh, even the maqluba that I really disliked in other places!
Not cheap, but I'm happy to pay to well prepared food. There's free wifi and a...funny parrot.

Rather hidden but can be found with Google maps. Surprised it was quite quiet as well reviewed in in my guide book. Wild cats and birds was a bit weird. Two mezes and two mains for 30 dinar. Massive mains, couldn't anywhere near finish them....Great service too.More Great service too.

It’s a tricky place to find, up the stairs from the Main Street but well worth it. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Our group of 13 people shared the mansaf and mixed grill main courses. There was more than enough food...More

Great restaurant in the heart of the downtown area. Delicious food in a wonderful space indoor and outdoor dining options. Gets busier after 8pm. Serves are large for one person dishes are designed for sharing.

Nice place to have dîner and/or desert with narguilé. Great balcony and very nice atmosphere.

Really private relaxed environment. Welcome for families too. The service was really good and even made friends with the waiter with no English! We sat on the terrace and the vibes are nice.
