  • Great book, bad example using Bill Gates

    Book is great. Only complaint is the author's choice of using Bill Gates to illustrate a relational database. Of all the people to select, why pick the creepy weirdo Bill Gates. And the example has a picture of him smiling at you like a creeper. Otherwise, good info on the topic.

  • The only must-read book in the area, IMO

    I went through lots of books around distributed system and architecture, and this one is the only one I would recommend. It's just technically, down to earth, full of important and useful things to know and understand.

    It was selled as new but the book has clear signs of being used before. It is still in good shape, but doesn't seem fair to sell something as new when it isn't.
