The 'Solar Electricity Handbook - 2023 Edition' receives mixed reviews. While some praise its practicality and informative content suitable for beginners and experienced users alike, others criticize the lack of updated information, insufficient details on complex topics, and the book's focus on European standards. Despite positive aspects like clear explanations and helpful diagrams, the book falls short for some readers who expected more in-depth technical guidance, especially regarding component connections, mounting systems, and battery usage. Overall, the handbook serves as a decent starting point for novices in solar energy with room for improvement in providing advanced knowledge and addressing current industry trends.

Best book on the market, SOLARâď¸
A very comprehensive and thorough book detailing all facets of explaining and installing solar panels and related equipment. Gives great details and thoroughly explains all the technical details. Great and interesting read with excellent coverage.
Great book and helped me put in solar. However I put my large 12 panel arrays on posts and sure could have used the calcs for pole sizing, concrete footing calcs, wind /snow loading calcs, etc
Liked the book, but was looking for more detailed operating theories of components.
I think this would be a good book as a starting point for someone who knew nothing about solar. If you already have a basic understanding it is relatively elementary. One other point is this book is about and geared towards European applications and standards.
It is a great book for reference on solar electricity. It still has room for improvement.
