It is the cheapest ever, I got the worst hangover ever because of thisAlmost all employees wear face masks below their noseEveryone touches your silverware Buffett is not assisted. Everyone touches silverware and they accept external guests for breakfast. No COVID19 measures at all!!! The liquor selection is the worst ever. After 7 days here they have decided to put back all bottles of liquor at bars just because important people have arrivedThis is the first time ever at an All Inclusive that I have had to go out and buy bottles of liquor and decided to go out for so many excursions to avoid the resort. I am not sure why this place is top 5 in CancunEvery time I ordered room service I saw a cart with a bottle of wine and desserts but it was always for someone else. Never for us.     Just left Live Aqua after spending four nights there. First off, we felt totally safe in terms of covid. The staff all wear masks and shields. They are constantly sanitizing everything. Guests are required to use hand sanitizer before entering the restaurants. Second, the whole experience was first class. The staff go above and beyond. Sophie, one of the managers, took notes and ensured we were treated to outstanding service. She even found us on the way out to say bye. The chefs and waiters ensure the guests are very satisfied. If you want something off the menu, they will make it for you. Chef William even sent fish and veggies to my room on last day for lunch because he didn’t want me to take my leftover dinner to room. All of the food is fresh and amazing. Now I know why there are so many repeat guests. I will be back in January!

  • Pandemic Trip

    This last minute trip exceeded my expectations. The staff was great especially Donny. He was so helpful and accommodated to all our needs. The staff in the VIP lounge was also really nice and helpful. The restaurants were great (recommend the habanero cream soup, cowboy steak, and lobster tails!) the steaks and lobster tails were extra but way worth it. The in-room service was convenient, but it was ok food. The pools and beach set ups were extremely relaxing. Everything felt clean and safe. All staff wore mask and face shields at all times. Temperature were taken coming into the hotel and the staff always offered hand sanitizer which was nice. High recommend staying here for a relaxing time. Our room was on the sixth floor which had a nice view of the ocean, however, wish we could have upgraded to there suite but due to the hotel only being at 30 % capacity suite rooms weren’t available. Overall, great experience and relaxing vacay.

  • A locals' staycation

    We live nearby in Akumal and came to Live Aqua for a 3 night getaway as things began opening after the COVID-19 pandemic. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, great food, top shelf liquor and overall fun atmosphere. Donny welcomed us and gave us his personal number for assistance anytime we needed something. The place was constantly under sanitation measures and all employees wore masks and face shields. The staff members were warm, friendly and very accommodating. Rooms were spotless, frequent towel replacement, turndown service every evening, etc. The beach and poolside waitstaff were also very responsive and attentive!The MB restaurant was our favorite of the ones that were open. Our hostess Cassandra was always pleasant and accommodating, even when we showed up late for our reservation one night. Chef Jorge and waiter, Aaron are passionate about their work and aim to please. The manager, Ezequiel was most helpful and was frequently on the floor leading by example and helping his team to ensure we were always taken care of. We are already talking about our next stay here.   • Total relaxation that very classy

    Live Aqua hotel is a place where you can stay the whole week and have a different experience each day. There are so many restaurants and bars at the hotel that you can have a new dinning experience each night. The pools are beautiful and big but they also have a private feel because of the cabanas and size of the pool. The waiters will walk right into the water and serve fresh fruit to you. The ocean is so close and the waiters come out to the chairs too. There’s even a little beach taco shack by the water that’s part of the all inclusive package. This hotel is so great couples, I see my wife and I coming back in the future.

  • Beware of sharks

    good but could be better. Front desk will lie and say that they don't have rooms available for early check in unless you pay more for upgrade. They then have you sit with a hotel salesman that will try to sell you on promotional deals. That person is really trying to get you to go on a timeshare tour. (I did not fall for that trick) Other than that the hotel had great views, looks clean and smells clean. The house keepers and room service works hard. The beach is really nice and not busy compared to the neighboring hotels. If you plan on doing dinner at the sea side grill, wear misquote repellent.
