Camplify offers a mix of positive and negative experiences as users appreciate the easy booking process and good service, but face challenges with website usability and vehicle issues. Scams, unavailability, and poor communication from owners also contribute to dissatisfaction. However, the concept of sharing vans for short trips is praised, and users express intent to use the service again.Best for

From just the admin suport and the onboarding to regester with camplify with the addition of owner contact, i have experienced good quality connection Sarah
It was reasonably easy to use the website and to make contact with the respective people. Thank you for a good experience and I will use your services in the future.
We are planning on buying a van so when I discovered Camplify I was pleased to be able to hire the van we would like. I found the website a bit clunky to use. You can only search via starting point rather than van brand. This would make it much more useful. Secondly the system needs to be able to accommodate small changes easier. The owner of the van we hired had trouble modifying our booking which caused a bit of stress for them and us. Overall I would use the service yet.
Difficult site to use, no way to filter vans based on towing capacity. Also discrepancies with hiring durations (on/off peak). No details of hitch and electrical connections. Requirements for the hirer to have a brake controller is not realistic for an infrequent tourer unless they hire a car as well.
John & Jo are experts in what they do. Setup and pack up are seamless. Every little detail is taken care off in their little care packages. Vans are spotless. This is our 5th year hiring from FSC and we have already booked again for next year.
I had a terrible experience hiring from this company, and as a solo female traveller felt unsafe on my trip. The van that I hired was not in working order, the owner was fully aware there was an issue with the battery, which he told me about when I picked up the van - but did not make potential hirers aware of this in the listing - rather waited until I had booked, paid and was picking up the van to start my trip, with no time to organise an alternative. Very underhanded. The van had a flat battery within the first hour of picking it up, and I spent the whole trip feeling unsafe and worried that I would not be able to start it when I needed to. Particularly as I had booked a campground that was remote with no mobile phone service. As such I took time out of my trip to drive the van each day to charge the battery (costing me time and money), when I had planned to be relaxing in one campsite the whole time. The van also had an issue with the fridge, which did not get to a cool enough temperature to store food, meaning I lost a lot of the perishable food I had taken with me. Incurring more cost as I need to then purchase a cool box, ice and more food. In addition to the communication and response times from the owner were sub optimal, and a small point but worth noting, the crockery in the van was dirty and all had to be cleaned when I arrived at the campground. The owner refunded me ~15% of the total amount I had paid, which is helpful, but honestly not acceptable as it didn't not cover the additional financial cost I incurred on lost food, cool box, ice and additional petrol, let alone the underlying frustration and worry on the trip. I had suggested that a 50% refund would be more appropriate given the issues that had occurred, and particularly given they were aware of the baterry issue and chose not to mention until pick up. I did not received a response to this. Not a good experience at all, which is a shame as I know other people who have hired great vans from this website and had a great time. I think more accountability from Camplify to help customers resolve any issues, particularly when a van has safety issues such as a battery that isn't in working order, rather than pushing them to deal directly with the hosts would be helpful.
