Great service that needs a bit of tweaking
We are planning on buying a van so when I discovered Camplify I was pleased to be able to hire the van we would like. I found the website a bit clunky to use. You can only search via starting point rather than van brand. This would make it much more useful. Secondly the system needs to be able to accommodate small changes easier. The owner of the van we hired had trouble modifying our booking which caused a bit of stress for them and us. Overall I would use the service yet.

Difficult site to use
Difficult site to use, no way to filter vans based on towing capacity. Also discrepancies with hiring durations (on/off peak). No details of hitch and electrical connections. Requirements for the hirer to have a brake controller is not realistic for an infrequent tourer unless they hire a car as well.

I had a terrible experience hiring from this company, and as a solo female traveller felt unsafe on my trip. The van that I hired was not in working order, the owner was fully aware there was an issue with the battery, which he told me about when I picked up the van - but did not make potential hirers aware of this in the listing - rather waited until I had booked, paid and was picking up the van to start my trip, with no time to organise an alternative.
