  • Double the price if you live outside the USA

    Great selection in both perfume other items. However, the price isn't so great if you live outside of the USA because the cost thanks to the cost of shipping and the exchange rate the cost doubles!

  • Learning about myself through fragrance

    I have learned so much about fragrance because of Scentbird. It is fun to study the notes, and see if what sounds intriguing actually smells good on me. I have a month of sprays to decide if it suits my personality without having to buy a whole bottle right away. What I think I love on day 1 or day 2, doesn't always turn out to be one of my favorites. The opposite has also been true!

  • Order never received. No reply from Scentbird.

    My order has been "waiting for delivery" for over 3 weeks. Contacted Scentbird. No reply. Canceled subscription. Watching my account. I'll bet I get charged again.

  • Don't sign up

    Don't sign up. Company is a joke. Don't get me wrong, the product is quality and the idea is well thought out with a pretty good selection. HOWEVER, after 3 months of using the site, when I decided I had enough cologne, I *attempted*to cancel my membership. I say attempted because they make it incredibly difficult to do so. Finally, after emailing customer service, I resolved the issue... only to find out that they didn't just cancel my subscription, but also deleted my account entirely???

    Packaging is safe and makes it to where I don’t have to worry about whether or not I will get my perfume. Allows me to personalize my upcoming order which is always great.

    • Great idea...

      I was a customer of Scentbird for around 3 months. We received some of the scents that we ordered and enjoyed the ones that we received very much. However, the overall technology and business practices of the site caused me to cancel my subscriptions.Pros: - The scent dispenser works well and it's simple to change out scents when a new one arrives. - It's really fun to be able to "try" different scents, including more expensive scents that you might not be ready to purchase in a full bottle size. We enjoyed the scents that we did receive. - The site design for signing up for the service and selecting/choosing your scent options is very nice.Cons: - Product selection: On multiple occasions, a scent I selected was not in stock. In one case, they did not notify me for over a month that they couldn't send the scent. Having a scent unavailable happened twice in the three months of my subscriptions -- this made me feel that this service wasn't really reliable.- Technology: The process for substituting a scent when they don't have the scent you ordered is confusing. They will send you an email, eventually, but then they also have a process that will auto-close the support ticket -- so if you don't respond quickly enough, the support ticket closes and it's not clear what you're supposed to do.- Subscription: Scentbird makes it very easy to initiate a membership and to delay a shipment, but challenging to cancel the membership. The options to cancel the membership are not consistent (The account page will tell you to email support, the FAQ will give a you a link) and require multiple actions/communications from the user to the support team. This is a practice that I don't support from an ethical perspective.

      Advertisement says that they have a bunch of colognes including designer scents. They charge me 9.27 for the subscription and with out knowing I’d be charged for the premium scent an additional 10.46, that’s just shady.

    • Don't do it

      I signed up and used thier quiz ,and even tho I picked masculine they had womens perfume mixed in my choices . I ended up picking one of those not knowing and there's no way to cancel or change .What made matters worse is it was a select scent so it cost more than double the regular scents . They also make it hard to cancel .They don't give that option anywhere and in fact you must contact them directly to cancel ,I did with no reply from them .If you are going to try this I highly recommend you pay through Amazon pay cause with one click through them you can cut them off instead of jumping through thier hoops .

    • Changed the packaging--will be cancelling subscription soon—the idea of the Scentbird…

      I really like the idea of the Scentbird subscription--try out fragrances in smaller sizes. I travel a lot, so the smaller sizes are perfect for me. Plus, I can try out and use a bunch of different fragrances.However, in my last box, the packaging has changed. The Scentbird vials used to be small and flat bottomed. A simple twist of the case made the spray button rise up out of the case and allowed the user to press the spray, intuitively as most perfumes work. Now, the vials are larger and rounded. They can no longer stand up on end, and they tilt in the makeup organizer I purchased just for my Scentbird collection. Additionally, the case is considerably longer. The case and new vial style is also not good for traveling--a few motions in a bag can dislodge the spray mechanism, and it can spray inside the bag.I am interested in the next scents I have in my queue, and then I will be cancelling this subscription.Edit May/June 2023: Over Memorial Day weekend, I received an email from TrustPilot stating, “scentbird.com has flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience.” I had 2 days (over the holiday weekend) to respond, or my review would be removed. It was removed, but I was able to provide documentation later the next week. The reply below by Scentbird was made after the review was verified. I have not received an email from Scentbird, even though part of the documentation I submitted to Scentbird was a support email with ticket number. I stand by my review of the company and was willing to go through the extra steps of verification to share my experience with the change in bottles/atomizer.

      Was with them for two months, took forever to send both items. 1st month didn't last a month like they promise it would. This month's item was defective. Red flag number 1: They don't have a customer service number so you can talk to a live person. Red flag number 2: They don't allow you to cancel your membership online. You have to email them and wait for a reply.Red flag number 3: All the YouTubers endorse this which should have been the 1st RED FLAG!Update: as of 5/23/23 this post was flagged by scentbird. My post was taken down until I could prove I wasn’t lying.

    • I received a damaged item

      I received a damaged item, the replacement was also damaged, both did not work. I asked to return and cancel my subscription, and they said no. I do not want these broken items.**UPDATE** You refunded me $10 weeks after I posted this. My order was for the premium Creed fragrance and I was never refunded for the upcharge. I also requested you cancel my membership as I did not want any more of these defective sprayers/cases. You took weeks to process it and sent me the next months subscription and charged me AGAIN for a premium month subscription. Not only was my “refund” completely inadequate it also was extremely late. Thanks.

    • No transparency and poor customer service

      There's no transparency with billing. I don't get a receipt. And when I reached out regarding being overcharged (I had already taken into account the shipping Canadians are charged and the exchange) no one got back to me. It's been almost a week with no response. Which tells me their customer service isn't greatEdit: again no transparency with billing (shouldn't clients know about extra charges upon signing up without digging through your shipping agreements), and it took forever to get a response).

      I ordered for 3 perfume which was a total of 75$ CAN. I bought a perfume that you pay 25$ CAN extra $ to have, everything was fine and after 2 weeks (supposed to receive it within 10 days) they write me to tell me they dont have the premium perfume which I alreally paid 25$ for. They tell me sorry we cannot refund this, please choose another product but all their other perfume are +0$!!! How would I pay 25$ for a perfume and have to select one that is 0$ and not get a refund!! They are just a big scam avoid this website and go to your local shop trust me.

    • Horrible Customer Service

      This subscription service is horrible to deal with. My first order never arrived and I wrote customer service to handle the issue. No one for back to me and my "second monthly order" was charged and a CHEAP perfume that did not match my 'scent personality quiz' was sent to me for the subsequent month. I had to follow-up threw times before my first order was re-sent to me and nothing was done about my second order. I received my "third order" and was not thrilled with it, and proceeded to cancel my service. There is no easy way to do this by the way, you have to email customer service which is already a nightmare. No one had sent me confirmation that this was done and my card has been charged for another order. I've sent four follow-up emails now as there is no phone number and no way to remove your billing information. Still, no one has gotten back to me and I feel like I'm being held hostage. I used PayPal for my billing so I will now reach out to them to see if they can stop Scentbird from billing me since they could care less about actually tending to their customer's needs. There are many fragrance services out there, I just happened to choose a horrible one, beware!

    • Terrible customer service

      Terrible customer service. I had ordered and submitted on the 20th of April and as of May 9th, my order is still processing. I have both emailed and DM the company trying to cancel my order and they just don’t reply to any messages sent or they send a generic computer generated with a link to cancel your account but no actual help towards cancellation of the order and a refund.

      Scentbird has been such a fun experience. I thought I would join for 2 or 3 months but I quickly realized I can’t part with it yet! I have perfumes added for the next 6 months. I love the ease in which you can change the order of your shipments. The way you can search by specific notes scent families makes it so easy to find your scents. I can even try different cologne for my partner. All around, it’s been awesome.

    • If I could give this company ZERO STARS…

      If I could give this company ZERO STARS I would! First month you pay normal but still kinda high price of around $25can for smaller then Sephora travel size sample fragrance….But boy oh boy the second month the completely rip off your bank account! $60 Canadian plus $18 for a add on I am now told I am not getting Then they cancel my subscription for leaving this review! Without resolving my money! On April 1st I paid for 3 regular fragrances One premium fragrance paid extra for As a premium saks fragrance! Dolce garden! And they offered a Skylar vanilla mini candle as a product in my fragrance selection ( that I was super excited for! ) All together was $63 Canadian! I look today to see my shipment, and it’s shows I AM NOT GETTING MY PREMIUM FRAGRANCE I PAID EXTRA FOR NOT GETTING THE VANILLA CANDLE I CHOSEN GETTING 4 CHEAP FRAGRANCES THEY TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES TO CHANGE MY QUE I SET UP! PAID FOR EXTRA! AND NOW AM RECEIVING ONLY ONE ITEM THAYS CHEAP OUT OF MY SELECTIONS AND PAID FOR ITEMS it is also not close to the advertised price! So false advertising even though I went along with it because I thought I would be paying for perfume I actually receive! But nope Also the size is smaller the value size in Sephora and the packaging has been cheapI am opening a case with the BBB of Canada to try to recoup some of my funds as I was scammed into spending on fragrances I am not receiving I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY shame on them in this economyEdit April 4th 2023 Also they cancelled my subscription without resolving my account without asking and now will not respond regarding my money I paid

      I accidentally got resubscribed through an email offer and I had to ask for it to be cancelled. Had a bit of an issue cancelling but got quick responses from their support team. They sorted my cancellation out even though they had already begun processing my order. Great support overall. Recommend this company just on that alone.

    • Dont do business with a company that uses DHL

      Cancelled my subscription before even receiving my first order. I cant deal with a company that ships DHL as DHL is far and away the worst shipping company in existence. 5 days from the time a label is created to it showing up in DHLs system for a delivery a week later is just not the way to do business in 2023.

    • Impossible to cancel subscription

      My granddaughter signed up for this service. She thought it would be reliable, fun and exciting. She was billed at a discount the first month and then more than tripled the next month. The products delivered were inferior. She then tried to cancel. Now 4 months later her account is still being debited. They have made it impossible to cancel online. She has left several messages and has never received a return phone call. We are in the process of canceling through the ACH with our bank. There will be a stop payment charge, but it's worth paying the bank if we can stop future transactions from this suspect company.
