Review of Ripple Protein Shakes: Mixed Opinions on Taste and Ingredients

Gum of any kind!!! Not good.☹️

I tried ripple milk and the saw these, if you like the milk you will love these !

I wanted a protein drink before golf, and this fit the bill. I have IBS and am lactose intolerant and was hoping this would taste decent. It tastes great at room temp or refrigerated. Gave me plenty of energy to play 9 holes and a lunch meal replacement. I will purchase again. It is a bit pricey but there are not many choices out there for plant based protein shakes/drinks.

Sunflower Oil and Sunflower Lecithin, Guar Gum, these 3 things are not healthy to be consumed as a daily drink. Any oils are bad for you unless expeller pressed and even then why would you want to ingest them in a drink. Sorry to the manufacturers but as a health care provider I feel like I have to mention this.

The vanilla protein tasted pretty mediocre but i through the pack away when I noticed the way the liquid hardened when exposed to warm temperatures. It hardened into a gelatin like feature and that probably is due to the gellan gum and other ingredients & preservatives that actually aren’t healthy. If you are watching your weight or trying to cleanse your body of chemicals and preservatives than you might want to find another protein drink option.

I ordered these prior to bilateral TMJ replacement because I needed liquid diet and something with protein. The flavor is great and surprisingly I didn’t get tired of the taste over the weeks of drinking them. I’ve ordered 3 cases over the last 2 months. Definitely recommend!

When I first tried ripple's chocolate protein shake at a friend's house I was so happy to FINALLY find one that actually tasted good, had cane sugar/no artificial sweeteners, and didn't wreck my stomach. I had previously tried a lot of different protein powders and shakes and all of them tasted bad or made me feel ill. I ordered the 12 pack of ripple's chocolate shake (white label) for months...until I received one with a different label (brown label). I tasted one and immediately hated it. I really tried to drink more but I couldn't get through it. I requested a refund, gave the rest to a friend, and stopped my subscription. After a few weeks of trying and failing to find a substitute I decided to buy another 12 pack to see if, by chance, if they still had any white label ones in stock. They did and I started a subscription for a few orders...until last week I got a pack of the new formula and here I am now, with another canceled subscription and writing this review, which I NEVER do. Really disappointing.

This is the best high protein meal replacement drink I have ever had! The chocolate is so yummy however the caffeine in chocolate made my heart race for I have a fast heartbeat anyway so I just ordered a case of vanilla and going to mix it half and half with the chocolate! I highly recommend this product!

Do not know who your target audiance is but I am a senior & have much difficulty opening the seal around the top. I ask that you would consider other options. I have resorted to using a paring knife to open. Not good! Some ideas- compare competitions products packaging, make the perferation stand out more with another color, do away with perferated seal, etc. Your product! A change in the near future would keep me a satisfied, regular customer.

The flavor was not super, I do use this as part of my cold brew coffee to get my protein throughout the day.

As a nurse practitioner in the obesity, health & wellness field, this is my go-to protein shake that I recommend! I urge all my patients to switch to a plant-based protein shake and this is the brand I recommend the most! High protein, great ingredients and amazing flavor! Highly recommend!

I had to become a vegetarian due to kidney disease. It’s difficult to get ample protein with this diet with low phosphorous. This drink solves the problem and tastes great. I like coffee the best

I love the chocolate so I tried the coffee. Nope. Trust me don’t waste the energy. Try adding a tsp of instant espresso to the chocolate for a perfect Mocha instead.

They’re okay. I can’t drink a whole one in one sitting. Just not my thing and I refrigerated them like recommended. Will try to donate the rest.

I ordered the coffee, and they taste great. Not any of the chalky taste I’ve had with other protein drinks. I did use Orgain extensively over the years, but I like these better, and the ingredients just as clean, if not better. I will be ordering these again and again

As I've aged, have found that I feel better . . . and keep my weight stable . . . if we have our big meal at lunchtime. So I have Ripple Coffee for my evening protein. Researched non-dairy protein drinks for a long time before finding Ripple about 2 yrs ago. Love, love, love it. Don't ever stop making!

I purchased because it was dairy free and also saw that the taste was comparable to the Core brand. So of course, upon opening, I had high standards. It was terrible and barely tasted like anything. Kind of questioning on if I got a bad batch or something. I couldn't believe so many people were ranting on an item that tastes like mine did. I also tried cold. I can't imagine it if it was warm. I'd recommend trying one if able before purchasing a full case.
