  • Terrible hotel in a good location

Sneaky and rude staff, especially the one at the reception. Inflated hypocrites and frauds. Rooms small and dirty, uncomfortable beds. The breakfast is good, the location is good. The contents of the hotel are not representative.

  • Korea exceeded our expectations.

Hotel very central. Lots of Korean restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is absoloutely spotless and all of the staff are so helpful. There is a luggage room . We paid for a late checkpout as our flight was not leaving teill 5 minutes to midnight. Travellers Tip: in the late evening, allow 90 minutes to get to Incheon Airport. The hotel booked a taxi for us . In ASIA, for every desitnation, we had hotel address and details written out in local language for taxi man, which made a difference.

  • Good hotel, central location

I stayed here recently for 4 nights. The room was a good size, and the hotel is in a central location. The room was reasonably well soundproofed. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available with a good range of options (at extra cost).

  • Good location.

Our stay at this hotel in Korea was the second stop on our trip. The location was excellent, just a three-minute walk from the nearest station. We deliberately chose to avoid the crowded area of MyeongDong and found Insadong to be a fantastic alternative, given its proximity. Upon arrival, we were unable to access our room before 3 pm, despite being certain that the room was ready. One notable highlight was the beautiful temple situated in front of the hotel. We were able to enjoy the stunning lights of the temple every evening from our room. Breakfast was included in the price, and it offered a simple spread with essential items like bread, toast, and eggs. However, one of the coffee machines was not functioning properly, consistently serving cold coffee. The concierge lady was always helpful and provided valuable assistance throughout our stay. However, we did feel that the receptionist could have been more accommodating. Overall, the hotel's location, proximity to Insadong, and the view of the temple were definite advantages.…

  • Lovely hotel and great area. Very glad we picked this hotel for our 6 night Seoul stay

Super happy we chose this hotel for our first 6 nights in Seoul. Got the airport limo bus to Anguk Station and it was a 5 min walk to the hotel. The hotel can be accessed from a small shopping centre on Insadong-gil or the main road opposite Joyghesa Temple. Our room was a good size and in good condition. The hotel has now opened its own restaurant and breakfast had a good mix of western and Korean breakfast foods. Coffee from the coffee machine was surprisingly good for a machine. Off Insadong-gil are a series of little alleys with lots of restaurants. Would recommend you wander and pick one with a queue. We did this and ended up with 2 great meals at 853 (a Korean bbq restaurant) and Gaeseong Mandu Koong (a michelin starred restaurant). The hotel is in 5-15 min walking distance of 2 of the big palaces, Bukchon Hanok, Ikseon-dong , Joyghesa Temple, the stream, and much more. Anguk is the closest train station but you can also walk to Jong-guk in 10 mins to get direct to Seoul Station and other places. The self service laundry (coin operated but the machine gives coins if you feed a note in) is well set up with machines, dryers, iron and board etc and is spotless. Would not hesitate to stay here again for its location and the hotel itself.…

    • Great Location!!

We had a wonderful 5 nights here at the Insadong location. The lobby is located on the 5th floor and the hotel is within a little shopping center with lot of restaurant and shop. It is centrally located and easy walk to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Changdeoggun Palace and Gwanghwamun Plaza. The hotel is located across the street from Jogyesa Temple. There are 2 GS25, one is located in the same plaza as the hotel and the other is around the corner. You can buy your T-Card here if you don't have time at the airport. The hotel is located in the middle of two stations - Anguk and Jonggak. Taxi from ICN - T2 to the hotel cost roughly 90K won to 100K Won depend on where and who you booked it with. If you prefer to take the limo bus, it will be bus # 6005. The bus stop is on the same side as the hotel, about 5 minutes walk to the hotel. Starting April 3, 2023 the hotel is open for breakfast at the Hibiscus Restaurant for 20Kwon per person, most places in Seoul doesn't open until 10am but if you are not familiar with the area but an early bird I recommended you book a room with breakfast. There are a few locations nearby that's open at 8am one is next to the Paris Baguette toward the Jonggak station. The other one is behind the hotel, it is the porridge shop upstairs. Onion Cafe is 15 minutes walk from hotel, it's open at 7am. If you don't want to be waken up by the prayer bell each morning at 4:30am, don't request for the temple view room. The Insandong's Alley is behind the hotel with it many cute shops and restaurants. kseondong Hanok Village is 15 minutes with lot of coffee shops along the way. We leisurely walked for 30 minutes from Myeongdong - Lotte Mall back to the hotel, it is on the same street. We prefered Insadong over Mysongdong and Hongdea, it is quieter but most places are closed by 8pm or 9pm at the latest. Room - We booked a regular delux room, it is on a smaller size but comfortable for 2 people. If you are elderly, request for a shower instead of the bathtub since their bathtub is higher than normal. There are various of rooms, we saw some room that can accommodate a family of 4. …

    • Wonderful location, nice rooms

We loved this hotel. It is modern and clean, with a very good breakfast. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The best aspect of the hotel is its location, next to a lovely shopping area that also has great restaurants. We would gladly stay there again.

    • Too many small annoyances.

Good: Rooms are fine, bed is nice, location is good. Bad: Expensive Confusing floor/reception/entrance system. Charger in room didn’t work. Cannot reduce heat in room. Restaurant staff extremely inflexible and rude. Breakfast is until 1030 and we walked in at 1002. The guy just kept chatting on the phone so I approached him at 1005. We were refused service because apparently last entrance is 1000. It was actually scribbled in tiny letters in pen on our breakfast ticket that 1000 was last entrance, but I think any other place in the world would have ‘bent the rules’ for the sake of 2 minutes and customer service. Or at least be polite about it. Brutal.

Perfect location near many sightseeing spots and next to Insadong Alley. Stylishly furnished and clean rooms with everything you need. Only Korean Breakfast. After we had left the country, the parcel we had sent home from the nearby post office was returned: Staff picked it up for us, repacked and resent it - wow!

    • A wonderful stay with a wonderful location

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The location of the hotel is like a 45 minute taxi drive from the Incheon Airport but possibly shorter/longer by the Airport train. It is almost dead centre of all of the popular attractions and also next to several subway stations which makes getting around Seoul very convenient and simple. My room had a amazing view of the Jogyesa Temple and was pleasantly big and comfortable. The staff and service was up to notch and made my stay at the hotel all the best! This is a ideal hotel for anyone's first time in South Korea and willing to spend quite a bit of money. The ONLY negative and reason why I haven't given this hotel a 5 star, is the breakfast. Now for anyone who is expecting a full range of options for breakfast, unfortunately this…

    • Not worth the money

We stayed for five nights in a suite. The location is the best part; everything else was sub-par. The hotel is definitely not four stars. I would put it in the three star category. I’ll explain why- 1. Staff: though cordial, they don’t exhibit courtesy or service expected of a four star hotel. They don’t offer help with luggage or take their time to explain their amenities thoroughly. The front desk is tiny, tucked into a small corner on the reception floor (5th). Underwhelming overall. By the way, they required that they make photocopies of all passports beyond the primary guest, including that of a minor. That felt too invasive. 2. Amenities: tiny (not very clean or ventilated) gym. Ice/water dispenser on select floors. There’s a restaurant on the fifth floor that is…

unfortunately my wife caught Covid and had to isolate in the hotel. Mr Lim showed great compassion and understanding in looking after her. the hotel itself is in a great location and is very nice with lovely toilets. however, the hotel is not particularly memorable and more should be done done to bring out the character of the city. breakfasts were not great.

    • Superb location

I stayed at Nine Tree Premier Hotel Insadong for four nights. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall and right smack in the middle of the Insadong main street, so the location was quite convenient as a base for travelling around Seoul (nearest subway/metro station is Anguk, just a few minutes away), picking up things at convenience store(s) and shopping for souvenirs around the street. I think it may be a fairly new development - I don't recall seeing it when I had previously visited Seoul, pre-covid times. It's a short walking distance from Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jogyesa Temple. Ssamziegil right across the street is a must visit, and aside from shopping crafts, I believe it runs some workshops which I unfortunately had little time to explore more on. There are also a lot…

    • Chic and Modern 4-star

Nine Tree is really nine/10 for location, bed comfort and service. Modern and chic hotel with loads of cafes, restaurants and accessible to nearby subway (Jongno-3ga & Anguk Station). I love the bed so much , it was so comfortable wished I can stay under the comforter whole day but I have to wake up to see the sights of nearby Palaces and Hanok Village which are just stones throw away from the hotel. Insadong, the pedestrian street is just outside the hotel which is extremely convenient. The only setback we had was the unpredictable air-condition temperature. I woke up sweaty at night due to the weird temp settings. It can be chilly cold and uncomfortable warm out of sudden. The bathroom is rather small and without a single hook to hand my clothes. There are few of my…

I stayed in the hotel few days ago. It was so nice, clean, and wonderful. There was a nice view in the room and the good foods around the hotel. So convenient because of the location. • Great hotel

I had a three night stay at this hotel and really enjoyed my time here! It’s perfectly located for tourists- palaces, Bukchon, Insadong, etc.. are all walking distance. Lots of shopping and restaurants right outside along with metro stops. It’s a beautiful new hotel. Employees are friendly with good enough English, the breakfast room is really nice with a great selection and they have a nice lounge with a coffee machine overlooking Jogyesa Temple. I would definitely stay here again. My only concern for travelers is the tub/shower- it’s a big step up to get in... elderly people would probably need to sit on the edge and turn to get in and out as it is a slipping risk. Great heated and auto toilet Japan style!

I'm impressed by Nine Tree's reservation team and their handling of our reservation in the midst of the Covid19 crisis. Their commitment to their customers is apparent in their responses. They were very accommodating and understanding of our situation. They made the cancellation process easy for us. Although I am disappointed to cancel our trip to Seoul, I am looking forward to a time when I finally can go back. I choose Nine Tree for my next visit there because I am confident that they will take good care of my family and me. Great job. Thank you.

    • Strategic Hotel for your Seoul, South Korea Trip!

As I arrived in Seoul, South Korea, Nine Tree Hotel Insadong was the hotel that accommodated me. I stayed in a standard double room, which is comfortable! And because of the hotel’s strategic location, I was able to have a blast during my 3 days stay in Seoul. It is near some of the best attractions, like the Palace and the Hanbok rental store, which is a must-do when in South Korea! It is also close to the city’s street food, souvenir shopping, and restaurants. Convenient for those who want to maximize their time in Seoul. The room is, immaculate, and I felt comfortable sleeping after a tiring day wandering around the city. With the hotel’s fanciness, I highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy and explore Seoul with Nine Tree Hotel Insadong to accommodate you!

    • weak shower pressure

This is a brand new hotel opened within 3 months I believe. The overall check in and out experience are nice. I appreciate the lobby design with lockers and T-money machine to DIY your own, and the water fountain facilities. However, the room seems not that big, and the room attendant didn’t refill my tea-bag for like 2 days in a row. I think that they offered pre-packaged yoghurt in breakfast on one day and then no more the next 2 days. So the service level mentioned above are not stable. I am not pleased with the shower pressure. It is barely usable and very weak. I contacted the front desk, and the repairman cannot resolve it and left. With such a shower head(non-adjustable type) it totally ruined the experience. It is zero degree weather and when hot water is used, it is…

    • Wonderfully centered location, just too much gray color!

From my hotel window I could see the temple, so definitely no better location than this for visiting temples and Palaces in Seoul. The hotel is new, so the room is clean and nice. The general zen concept of the hotel is not bad either, just a little bit too gray for my taste !! The restaurant - all gray, looks more like a cheap canteen that a luxury restaurant! An example of when minimalist looks cheap...it’s a pity because overall it is a nice hotel!

Brilliant location and very helpful staff and in particular, the Front Office team were excellent. One slightly negative comment was the fact that the breakfast buffet remained exactly the same on each of the 5 days we stayed. The quality was very good but did lack imagination. Perhaps catering to the business community who stay for one night etc.
