A quiet and peaceful hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. The hotel is located near a beautiful lake and offers a continental breakfast. Some guests mentioned the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. The hotel restaurant is highly recommended for its good food and moderate prices.

I stayed here for a couple of days when on a business trip. It is a bit out in the countryside, the taxi driver I had struggled to find it. The hotel is nice, the room was comfortable and clean. My flight was heavily delayed on the way out so I arrived at 1am in the morning. This isn't the sort of place that has 24 hour reception.... I had to call and wake someone up to be able to get in. I couldn't get the Wifi in my room to connect properly - it was very very slow. The breakfast was reasonably good. I wouldn't stay here again in business in Duisburg but I don't think they are really aiming for the business market.
I've stayed here for two nights on a business trip and loved it. The hotel is located in the countryside, next to a huge and beautiful lake. Therefore it's quiet and peaceful. After a stressful day in the office you can either enjoy a cold beer on their romantic terrace or have a long walk around the lake (7.5 km). Service was friendly and helpful. Rooms are little bit outdated but clean and modern bathroom. More then enough free parking spots available. Duisburg is a 15min drive away. You can also visit Moers, a smaller town with several restaurant - 5min drive. I will be back very soon.
The accommodation and food is very nice. This is a place for people having vacation and want to enjoy nature. I like the location although its not close to train station. If i have a chance again to come back to Duisburg i would love to stay again in this hotel.
I had a 1 night stay here earlier in the week. We arrived late and left early so eat but we did enjoy a few drinks from the bar. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was lovely with quite a good choice. There is a small bar with a limited choice of drinks but there is a choice of beers and soft drinks, so was good enough for us. The rooms are clean and well presented. One point though, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms in this hotel, only a mini bar so if you want a drink in your room and don't want to pay mini bar prices remember to bring your own. Would recomend and would go back
A hotel choice which proved the worth of Trip Advisor - discovered on this site, it entirely lived up to reasonably high expectations. We booked by phone directly with the hotel the evening before travelling. They match the best internet rate - not always the case with other hotels - and gave us the family room we wanted. Late arrival was no problem. The kitchen is open til 10pm and, yes, the food is good - German with an East European tinge. We shall be back
We had breakfast and evening meal for 5 days and were never dissapointed. The food was excellent with very large portions of meat. The evening meals were excellent value. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfotable and clean. The gardens were lovely and it was great to see red squirrels roaming the garden. The only negative was on hot evenings opening the window allowed cigarette smoke to come up from those outside smoking (and there seem to be plenty in Germany who smoke). Air conditioning (allowing windows to be closed ) or banning smoking from areas near the hotel would solve this. That was all that is stopping me from giving 5 stars. We would definitely stop there again.
Good hotel in a qiuet location, and with a beautiful garden/lake. Probably need a car to get to. Rooms clean and modern. Best thing was the food in the restaurant, which was amazing and not too expensive! Staff also very friendly and accomodating.
This is a rather small hotel, easily to reach by car with a good connection to the Autobahn. Anyway the location is very quiet. Surrounded by a well tended beautiful garden and only a few steps away from a lake in the middle of a forest. The restaurant is excellent with moderate prices, the staff very friendly and helpful
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel and found the owner and staff to be capable and friendly. The hotel was clean and the food was great. I would go back to the hotel again. Regards. Clive & Inge Faulmann
This was the third time I stayed in the hotel, it is located just above a beautiful lake. The food on the hotel's restaurunt is very good. RECOMMENDED!!!
