    This hotel is in a quiet location; good rooms, reasonable meals and friendly staff. However, we were overcharged €20 Euros and although they have admitted it was their mistake they no longer answer emails and I am still waiting for my money.

  • Typical german countryside hotel

    We did not actually stayed in the hotel, but visited it for a lunch. To be honest it is not the best place for a lunch. The chart is more orietentated for dinners. The food was OK, same as the price. There were plenty parking places, but in December we were nearly the only guests.

    Went there for a birthday party...planning and execution was excellent. Service outstanding with our waiter..food was very good..some items better than others..dessert excellent..overall a very nice property in interesting rural location.

    The accommodation and food is very nice. This is a place for people having vacation and want to enjoy nature. I like the location although its not close to train station. If i have a chance again to come back to Duisburg i would love to stay again in this hotel.

  • Better Than Average German Hotel

    Probably the best non-chain German hotel I've stayed in. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and free from the smell of smoke and beds were comfy (other German hotel owners please take note). There is nothing at all around the hotel if you wish to walk anywhere but the restaurant I was told was pretty good although I arrived only in time to have a beer which was also very good. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and check out was efficient.

  • It was like staying in a classic romantic small palace.

    The restaurant and quality of food was perfect. Staff were really friendly and ready to help. The room was large, clean and light. The view from each side of hotel was amazing. The garden was lovely. I loved staying there.

  • Great hotel, friendly, quiet, nice surroundings

    Good hotel in a qiuet location, and with a beautiful garden/lake. Probably need a car to get to. Rooms clean and modern. Best thing was the food in the restaurant, which was amazing and not too expensive! Staff also very friendly and accomodating.

  • small but very nice

    This is a rather small hotel, easily to reach by car with a good connection to the Autobahn. Anyway the location is very quiet. Surrounded by a well tended beautiful garden and only a few steps away from a lake in the middle of a forest. The restaurant is excellent with moderate prices, the staff very friendly and helpful

    My wife and I stayed at the Hotel and found the owner and staff to be capable and friendly. The hotel was clean and the food was great. I would go back to the hotel again. Regards. Clive & Inge Faulmann

  • Great Hotel, beautiful green area, good service

    This was the third time I stayed in the hotel, it is located just above a beautiful lake. The food on the hotel's restaurunt is very good. RECOMMENDED!!!
