Not sure why the symbols are on the screen. They are not touch responsive. No manual but searching on line doesn't throw and light on this! Both parts need to go through the dishwasher regularly if we've used it to fry something. Grease bakes onto the sides. Cooked a range of sweet and savoury things. Really good for warming up home baked bread rolls.
Another addition, whilst still owning its predecessor, and it does what it says on the tin. Very satisfied with the purchase in our other home.
I love my airfryer.
Easy to use.
Ideal for single person as so many are so large. This is ideal.
Hardly ever use oven. Benefit noticed in reducing energy bill !
ok, so i have finally bowed to all the pressure. and got an air frier. and, its one of those things which makes you wonder why haven't i had one of these before.
the only downside that i have found with it is purely the size of it. its not the biggest of items. but, then again, it only gets used for two of us. so, that really isn't an issue.
it is only 4.1l, which makes it quite compact. so it doesn't take up to much space on a worktop.
it is all touch screen, and whilst there are a whole host of options on it. its only been used for cooking all the normal things like chips, fish, nuggets etc.
i have seen whole cook books dedicated to the air frier, so i might have to invest in one.
being panasonic, it carries a name that gives security and peace of mind that your getting a quality product.
this really is a great item, and well worth the investment.
Always wanted one of these and this one does not disappoint.really happy with it.easy to use and good comes out great.I would definitely recommend
This is my third Phillips air fryer , I dropped the first one , the second one wore out after many years service. I tried another brand but returned it as none of the other brands air fry as well as Phillips! It is the perfect size for 2 people, simple dials to operate and very easy to clean. What more can I say!
Great machine, clear instructions and easy to use and keep clean.
. Spare to demand
The product is really good and efficient but it’s too small if you want to cook for example steaks it only fit 2! At time
It’s great
The food cooked is not as expectedly good. It is too dry or not crispy even we followed all the instructions in the recipe.
It's very good also very easy to use I am very happy thanks Philip
This is a cracking air fryer! Works well and cooked well.
We already had an air fryer so knew what we was doing, the instructions on the app were great though.
The optional NitriU app provides recipes and tips while allowing remote access to your air fryer and its functions. The app provides step by step instructions on connecting your fryer to your wifi network if that’s something you’re interested in. I loved the fact I could get notifications on my iphone/apple watch, as if your busy doing other things you don't always notice its done.
Really like the keep warm function too.
This isn't the biggest air fryer, but ideal for 1/2 people.
Overall we are very happy with this
This is my first experience of air fryers and overall it has been an interesting one. The fryer arrived well packaged and needing to be installed on the wifi prior positioning in the kitchen.
App installation was fiddly at times - one phone (Samsung) had a lot of trouble connecting and getting up and running, the other phone (Fold 4) was much easier to set up but the app insists on rotating the screen once the app is in use, which is really annoying but it may have more to do with the app not knowing how to work with the Fold's screen than anything else. Probably points to a software update to bring the app in line with the number and variety of foldable phones that are coming out now.
It is a great idea that the cooking instructions on the app can be beamed directly to the fryer - and the fryer controlled from the app but that brings me to the first big problem that I encountered:
if we are replacing oil frying with air frying, what is the first thing an Englishman wants to fry? Yes, chips!
So, pull up the app and search a recipe for chips and what do you get? A recipe on how to make crips!!!
As I am not an American when I want crips I will ask for crips and when I want chips I will ask for chips. But the app is, for some reason, designed for the USA and not the UK - and this comes up as a consistent problem. Yes, asking for "french fries" brings up... french fries, not proper chips. So this is a consistent problem that I have to translate from UK English to Philips version.
So, following the app for recipes is very hit-and-miss. Thankfully one can adjust, estimate and increase or decrease cooking times to suit - so be prepared to experiment until you get it right.
So the bottom line for me is that it is a really good concept that has been poorly implemented by Philips. I don't need full-blown recipes so much as simple cooking instructions. For example: cooking falafel. The app gives me a complete recipe for how to make falafel from start to finish. But I have a packet of falafel that I have just taken out of the fridge. What I need is a simple instruction that for x number of grams of falafel, cook for y minutes at z temperature. That's it.
I still recommend this fryer as it is well-made, does what it is supposed to do and is a good price. However, Philips really needs to get its act together when it comes to app and recipe support.
This arrives in a full colour printed Phillips box which is sealed in plastic & measures approx 34cm x 34cm x just under 36cm.
Inside the box, you get the airfryer itself, complete with instruction book & 3 pin plug.
I already have (& use) an airfryer, which is a more basic model than this.
I have found that by using a liner in the basket I have next to no cleaning to do when I use it (just the silicon liner to pop in the dishwaher) & have been using one for months that has needed no other maintenance than occasionally wiping out the basket if some crumbs have managed to get in the base.
This is fancier than my regular one & personally I found I just didn't want to use an app because I don't like feeling I have to be tied to technology just to cook some chips or heat up a pasty etc..
It's excellent, easy to set up & cooks well, but I will be sticking to my ordinary non connected one.
This can be used with an app on your phone or connected to Alexa & the warm up feature is nice, it's just more tech than I personally want.
You can just use it with the touch screen on the machine, but the feature of this particular model is being able to get the updates on the app.
Replaced my old George Forman with this. So far, very pleased! Essential purchase an inner basket to save on continuous cleaning! Ideal for single meals. Does everything George Forman did plus several dishes I would have used the oven for.
Loving my new air fryer.
I really love this. It’s a nice design, compact and easy to use. I use my air fryer for convenience food- frozen chips, garlic bread, pizza etc and it is perfect for those types of job and way faster than using the oven. It’s easy to clean and cooks food really well. Frozen French fries are are a particular favourite. They cook so much better than in the oven. A great gadget!
The Philips Domestic Appliances Essential Airfryer is a kitchen appliance that allows you to fry food without using oil, using rapid air technology to circulate hot air around the food. This results in crispy and delicious fried food without the added fat and calories of traditional deep-frying methods.
The Airfryer features a touchscreen interface that allows you to easily set the cooking time and temperature, as well as choose from a variety of pre-programmed cooking settings. It also comes with the NutriU recipe app, which provides access to a wide range of healthy and delicious recipes that you can use with your Airfryer.
In addition to being a healthier alternative to traditional deep-frying, the Airfryer is also easy to clean and maintain. The removable non-stick drawer and food basket are dishwasher safe, and the Airfryer itself has a compact design that makes it easy to store in your kitchen.
Overall, the Philips Domestic Appliances Essential Airfryer is a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy the taste of fried food without the guilt and added calories. With its rapid air technology, touchscreen interface, and NutriU recipe app, it's a versatile and convenient kitchen appliance that can help you cook up a variety of delicious and healthy meals.
Easy to use as I had a similar air fryer before. It is compact and good size for 2 people. When it was delivered, it was very quiet but it was a bit noisy from the second use. Otherwise, it is a good product.
My digital readout central big digital numbers
Are very dim obviously faulty but I won’t return
Even though I could do makes it hard to read in daylight
I expected better from Phillips seems this one escaped
Testing properly 4 stars only could be 3 cooks very nice
Cooks fast and easy to clean. Provides instant heat too.
thanks
We are all looking for ways to reduce the energy we use at home, and many people swear by their air fryers as an alternative to heating up the oven. This Phillips model is a sleek, compact object to have on the worktop and so far it is an impressive addition to my kitchen.
We have cooked for two in it so far – it easily handles those sorts of amounts of food. I think it may struggle to cook for four, however, depending on appetites. It heats up quickly and (if you follow the instructions and shake the basket several times during cooking, or turn larger pieces of food), it cooks very evenly. We are still experimenting with the pre-set functions to work out how long different dishes will take and at what temperature. However, it is easy to set the temperature and time, keep an eye on progress, and adjust as needed. Many prepared foods now include AirFryer instructions as one of the cooking methods, but I find you still need to use your judgement.
Another question is when to add oil – you need to add it very sparingly, and to the food (tossing the food in oil, or using a spray or brush to apply it direct), not poured into the AirFryer itself. You will use a lot less added oil cooking this way.
Finally, this appliance is easy to clean – the main basket and basket holder can be washed up in the sink or the dishwasher. The rest of the cleaning is just wiping the exterior and – an important step – cleaning the “roof” of the cavity the basket sits in after each use.
Phillips offer an app for the appliance, with the option to pair your phone and the airfryer. This gives access to some additional functions and a database of recipes. The recipes are a useful resource, in my case more for ideas about how to use the airfryer to adapt my existing way of cooking than for new meals to make. But it is a comprehensive resource and if you like having your appliances connected to your home network, this will be a useful option for you. However, you don’t need the app at all to simply cook in the appliance.
This isn’t the cheapest option for an airfryer but Phillips is a quality brand so there should be years of reliable service from this machine, making the price a worthwhile investment.
I am sceptical about this. I used it according to the instructions and I started off by trying to make the easiest thing known to man; homemade chips.
I did everything it said but the chips came out black! But uncooked in the middle.
I might need an air fryer class or something because I don’t understand it.
It’s all very fancy and looks the part and it’s compact and fits nicely into the kitchen but I just don’t understand why it burnt those chips!!
It's an air fryer so it does everything an air fryer should and does it all pretty well. If you like your food air fried then this will certainly do the job in that regard and is a pretty good size for up to 4 people. It looks good and has been made by a reputable brand so is likely to last for quite some time.
It's marketed as a smart air fryer, there's an app you can download to your phone which you can use to download recipe ideas and also to set the air fryer to follow a specific recipe with automatic temperature and time settings. You can also register the app as a skill with your alexa device and use them to control your air fryer, sounds great right? Well, that depends on your perspective.
My smart phone is a couple years old, well, 3 years old and due for replacement. I found the app didn't function too well on my phone. My wife's phone is new and the app seemed to function most of the time, although it certainly wasn't without issues. Furthermore, the process of searching through recipes on the app is quite a painful one and to be honest I don't think it's something most people will utilise. I think at best most people will use the app to check how much cooking time is left and let's face it, you don't really need yet another app just to use as a timer.
Outside of the smart features I can't really find any other reason to justify paying extra for this air fryer when there are cheaper alternatives available that will do the job just as well, although possibly requiring a manual timer or requiring you to press a button rather than spend even more time looking at a phone screen.
I had an air fryer before, but it never really inspired me - it was a manual type one that ticked really loudly, and you had to wash all the parts by hand afterwards.
This one can go in the dishwasher (the drawer part of it, and the basket), and therefore is really easy to keep clean. This is a small aspect of how brilliant it is though - the best bit is the technology!
I have the app for it on my phone and iPad, and it pops up on my watch too when the air fryer is in use (see the photos for the view I get on my iPad, and the watch ones too). It’s so easy to use, just choose the recipe on the app and start the cooking from your phone or iPad! You can even use Alexa to start the cooking…
There are various recipes on the app, which is helpful as it sends the temperature, time etc and tells you when you need to do something else (such as shake the chips!). I love the ‘keep warm’ setting too - it’s very useful for when you haven’t quite got the rest of the food ready. I like to use it when I make garlic bread to go with spaghetti bolognese - snap a frozen garlic bread in half, put it in the basket and set the app (180c for 8 mins, but you can find it by searching for garlic baguette, however I adjust the temperature to 160c as my family don’t like it so well done), then when it stops put it on keep warm for 10 minutes while you boil the spaghetti. It’s absolutely perfect!
I’ve also made cupcakes in this - I just use a 1 egg amount of sponge recipe to fill 6 silicone cupcake cases, and you have fresh cake in about 15 mins!
So recommend it, this is a brilliant device.
I have had a Philips actifry for number of years now so i thought I would try the latest model but I found that it is not as good as my earlier model ,for some reason it doesn't seem to cook as well so i have stored it in the loft and I will now keep using my old one.
This airfryer is just amazing! It cooks everything to perfection and you can actually connect it to your phone via wifi and control it that way and see updates. I would highly recommend this cooker
This is great appliance, perfect for the time (and space) short cook. It is very sleek in design, looking Dalek-esque on the worktop and very easy to use either with the app or just the intuitive interface. So far I have done sausages, chicken, fries and croquette potatoes. All have come out very well, especially the potatoes. I just love pulling the basket out and shaking my fries too lol. The poor old oven doesn’t get much of a look-in these days and the time and energy savings are quite significant going by my smart meter. Not too difficult to clean either with the detachable basket, just let them cool off out of the unit once cooking is finished first. Five stars all day from me.

This book on incident response and digital forensics is highly recommended for all classes of incident responders. It offers valuable content and serves as a great reference. The book provides a clear and straightforward blueprint for IR investigations, making it a must-have manual for beginners and a useful refresher for veterans. Although it is four years old, the framework and methods presented are still relevant. However, some readers find the layout of text in the book hard to read.

A summary of the reviews for a Grohe Start one-handle bathroom faucet with an extractable showerhead. The product is of good quality, easy to install with included tools, and comes at a reasonable price. However, some customers reported missing accessories and had issues with the functionality of the showerhead. Overall, it is a satisfactory product with room for improvement.
