My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our few days at Palm Island Resort in the beautiful Grenadines where you can enjoy a truly unspoilt and authentic Caribbean experience. Having travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Palm Island reflects the genuine hospitality of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the natural beauty of this region and the welcoming spirit from the resort staff. We were not disappointed with the unspoilt white sand beaches and the exquisite healing qualities of the Caribbean Sea where you can see every shade of blue and green. A bonus was absolutely no trace of sargassum seaweed which has been affecting the Caribbean region recently. Swimming, snorkelling and boating was breathtaking. What really makes Palm Island Resort special is the attention to service and sincere friendliness shown by the staff under the leadership of the General Manager Katie. Palm Island Resort undoubtedly is the right place to unwind, decompress and enjoy the eastern Caribbean rhythm, cuisine and of course some great rum tasting! We look forward to returning to this very special island in the not too distant future!…
Palm Island belongs to St.Vincent and Grenadines. It is a not big, easy to explore in a few days, rather plain, with only two elevations, island. The island is beautiful, has got a few nice beaches with white sand. There is Palm Island Resort and only several private estates on the island.Resorts consists of a few beautiful, big, with full home equipment villas, close to beach,or just on the beach,a few cottages, swimming pool, gym, tennis court, library, two restaurants. There is billard and table tennis too.All accomodations are very comfortable with bathrooms,WiFi and AC.Meals are served in restaurants(alernately) a la carte.Food is high quality, very tasty. There are available bikes and in villas golf cars for guests. The most secluded, beautiful and closest to the beach is Sea Feathers Villa(north side,Atlantic Ocean).Swimming off shore is good, but sea a bit rough.Snorkeling medium. There are possible trips to Tobago Cays(a lot of turtles),Mayreau Island(small, pristine Grenadines island),Mopion Island(sandbank in the middle of ocean)and Union Island Chatham Bay(good snorkeling and calm waters there). All the staff in the Resort is wonderful, polite, obliging, and general manager Katie Rosicka- wonderful, energetic, can do everything woman, who even can teach Caribbean dances. Holiday in Palm Resort is a true relax, worth to be again.…
This is truly the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The beaches are perfection. The views from the trails are breathtaking. Take advantage of the spa, fishing, sailing...do all of it! The food is absolutely delicious and the cocktails are yummy. What genuinely sets this place apart is the staff. From housekeeping and grounds keeping to wait staff, security, and management; everyone makes you feel like family - EVERYONE. It is an experience and place like no other. The drawbacks are getting to the island; is a little bit of a challenge. They have certainly done everything possible to ease the travel stress by ensuring an agent walks you step by step through the Barbados airport. The birds. They were annoying, but I adjusted to their rhythm. The bugs. The sand gnats or sand flies or both, I'm not certain, are a problem. Use the bug spray the hotel provides. It made a difference. None of the drawbacks would prevent me from returning. This is such a special place; I cannot wait to go back and visit with all of my new family members. …
Even before you arrive at the island, you have a palm resort individual meet you in Barbados airport to help you through a separate and private security/customs area which took 5 minutes. The quick 45 minute flight to Union island and then golf cart to the personal boat to bring you to palm island was flawless. Upon arriving the General Manager Katie, her assistant and a staff greeted us promptly on the dock with warm smiles, delicious drinks and introductions. Check in was super easy because Katie is such a professional and knows how to treat this clientele. She handed us a key and said to come by in the morning to officially check in since we were probably tired from the trip. She gave us to important information about the resort and welcomed us like we were family. We started the first 3 days in a suite, they have a couple kinds os suites. some are fully renovated and others are not renovated but larger and have a TV so choose wisely. There are also really cool lofts that the guests they're really loved! We then rented the southern cross Villa and I cannot say enough how amazing this villa is. It comes with a golf cart of course, a fully stocked fridge and plenty of alcohol, coffee etc etc. The attention to detail throughout this resort is second to none. The staff is friendly, kind and attentive. The beach is GORGEOUS. there is enough space that you feel like the island is yours. You have several trails like cactus trail to get a workout in, or use the tennis courts or the gym. There are so many activities, Id recommend swimming with the turtles with Yannis boat. the SPA is also wonderful, we did the hibiscus package which consisted of 2.5 hours of pampering, facial, scrub, massage. I had a special request as I wanted to propose to my girlfriend and Katie and her whole staff made the experience flawless. Katie, the GM, runs a very tight ship. She thinks several steps ahead, she does fun entertainments in the evening like rum tasting and dancing. She managed to organize the perfect evening for us with flowers, champagne and made us feel like superstars. They set up a romantic table by the lighted heart on the beach, but then it rained so we went to the gazebo, but then it rained harder and we moved to the restaurant. Katie had planned for all of these contingencies. The entire staff is incredible!!! Special shoutout to Kay Ana, Tore, Timol, Camille, John, Andre, Johnny that makes the BEST drinks, they are all incredibly kind and do their job super well. You can grab a hobby cat if you enjoy sailing or a 420, they also have these super cool clear kayaks and paddle boat. Dont forget to grab the snorkeling gear and just swim around the island and you will see so many varieties of fish! The food menu changes from day to day at the palm restaurant dos there is incredible variety. Every day had options for vegetarians if you wanted it. Lots and lots of options and local dishes were served. the chef Marc Andre has endless ideas for preparing meals and it shows. The rooms are well appointed with solid unit AC systems that you will need. The doors have slats so you hear the ocean outdoors, some people like that and some others do not. The southern cross villa is so well appointed with bicycles, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers that overlook the ocean, safes in every bedroom, plenty of towels, plenty of coffee, juices, drinks etc etc. and if you need anything, the staff is so responsive you will have what you ask for in 5-10 minutes FLAT. You really feel like family on this island. I have been to resorts all over the world and must say if you want exclusivity and feel like you own the whole island with ease of not having to pay for each drink in a surreal location, this is the place for you. Additionally, the GM Katie, really makes this place even that more special. She does everything to perfection. She ensures you are confortable, feel welcomed and has special personal touches. For example, if you schedule the romantic dinner, you will have this awesome heart shape flower bed in your room. The list of attention to details from Katie goes on and on and on. Such an awesome vacation. Such an awesome location. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. We even managed to make friends and met several couples that were recurring guests for over 10 years. …
We have travelled the Caribbean for 35 years and this was by far the most spectacular resort and staff we have ever experienced! We were pampered from arrival all the way to departure, greeted with rum punches and escorted to our rooms with check-in the following day. At departure general manager, Katie, and several staff escorted us to the ferry to see us off, waving and blowing kisses until we were out of sight. We were very impressed with the special escort in Barbados to make our arrival and departure quick and smooth! This luxury resort has a quaint and tropical island vibe which we prefer over modernized, urban looking hotels. We stayed in a beachfront room with a picturesque view of the ocean and Union Island. The room fit the island vibe with private loungers and palapa just outside our door. The resort is quiet and relaxing yet there are plenty of activities to choose from. Watersports: great snorkeling right off the beach, Hobie cats, paddle surfing, canoes, floating loungers in swim area and much more. Spa, gameroom and library, gym, tennis courts, cycling, hiking, etc. Excursions: sailing and snorkeling on the Yannis (a must!), sunset cruise, fishing, shopping to name a few. Reading and napping under the palapa is one of my faves.....always an incredible view and relaxing sound of the ocean! The food is excellent at both restaurants and they provide tea, coffee and snacks in the afternoon. Chef Jamarque came out every night at dinner to meet the guests. He creates unique and flavorful dishes, always welcoming feedback. The drinks are awesome and the bartenders are eager to please. Their concoctions are top-notch! The entire staff are amazing!!!! They are so warm and welcoming. It is true, they treat you like family and they know you by name right away. We will always remember them and how they exceeded our expectations! Wishing we knew all of their names but many thanks to ALL of them! Kudos to concierge Alaska and Kay-ana; dining staff Niarshair (Nia), Hulda, Shaquille, Oliver, Camille, Timol, Andre', and Johnny (all of them spoiled me with my special coffee requests); John and all bartenders, the Yannis crew, Valdo and security team, watersports Otanjo; and housekeeping Margaret who is a precious person leaving us special surprises and sweet hugs and turndown service Joy who went above and beyond to grant our requests. And many special kudos to phenomenal Katie (general manager) who has the most incredible people skills and out of the box management style! She mingles with the guests daily, a very rare find! Thank you, Katie, for hooking me up with awesome coffee and where to find those great cushions (which took a lot of time and effort)!!!! We don't think we could ever top this resort so we would definitely recommend to friends and family! Jerry and Stacy J…
Our first trip to Palm Island, and I can say it won't be our last. Our family just returned from a wonderful week, at one of the most beautiful Islands you could imagine, with a staff that is just incredible. I will say it takes some planning to get there, but totally worth it. I will commend Katie and her entire staff for making us feel like family. I wish I could remember every staff's name, to be able to thank each one of them. I will tell you that all the staff will know who you are and call you by your first name. They will know by day 2 who wants coffee or tea with breakfast, what drink you like before dinner, and will ask you how your day was and if there is anything they could do to make your vacation better. I could go on and on regarding the kindness of the entire staff, I have not felt more welcomed at any other resort. On the the island itself, first it is beautiful and very well maintained, the grounds are impeccable, there are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach, towels at the ready, paddle boards, hobie cats, bikes, you name it. There are multiple beaches on the island, all over them are beautiful, and none of them are crowded. As for planning activities, the staff are there to make it happen, I had booked kite surfing lessons at Union Island, on our second day there, not knowing how early the resort ferry went over there, I asked Katie, she made a call and next morning there was a young man waiting for me at the dock to get me to my lesson. It's these little things that mean so much. Also have to go out to Tobago Cays and swim with the turtles, we took the Yannis catamaran and had a wonderful day of sailing and snorkeling. On the island itself, there is a very well equiped workout facility with not only treadmills, rowing machines, ellipticals, but also free weights. There are several hiking trails, all of them climb some pretty steep terrain, but reward you with amazing views and wonderful sea breeze. The food is very good, and has a wide array of choices for each meal. I want to again thank the entire staff for making our vacation so special, and look forward to seeing them all again soon. …
WOW! this place is simply amazing, from the arrival and greeting at the jetty with a Rum Pinch to the personal goodbye! We have been to many of the Caribbean Islands and combined one week here with a week in Barbados, which does help with the flight connections, although Palm Island superbly take care of you as soon as you arrive in Barbados! The landing at Union Island is not for the faint hearted though :) This island is stunning, we had a Superior Beach Front( room No 2) which had a fantastic location and a lovely room. Katie and her Team, (every single one of them) make this place so special. There were only 21 guests during our stay , but Katie made sure everyone felt special and had a great time. We did the Catamaran to Tobago Keys and Mayreau which was a fantastic days out! we cycled round the island and went to the amazing spa, snorkelled , sailed, and ate amazing food in the two restaurants ( even had the Iguanas join us in a morning for Breakfast ! There is great live entertainment each evening and the views from both the restaurants are stunning... We felt like we had our own island of paradise !! We met so many lovely people and staff at Palm Island ! We loved every minute!!…
My week on Palm Island was truly paradise! Stunning sand and water, fabulous meals, each and every one. My first escargot was delicious, barracuda, rack of lamb, smoked marlin, fish tacos, coconut porridge, eggs Benedict and a great cheeseburger and fries!!! Mango daiquiris were a treat. The catamaran took us out to the gorgeous turquoise water where we saw starfish, stingrays, and I swam with 3 sea turtles for 30 minutes, just watching them eat!!! We enjoyed a spa day on the one rainy day of the week. The staff truly made us feel like royalty by attending to every want and need with a friendly, warm smile. I won’t forget Nia, Shaquille, Timol, Alaska, Oliver, Camille and Marley.
This was my second time on Palm Island and certainly will not be my last! First tome was with family, this time was a girl's trip. I was so excited to see many of the same faces as before ( Alaska is fabulous!!) It was as if I never left🥰
A little challenging arriving there from Toronto. First flight to Barbados, second flight to Union Island (50 mins), and short ferry ride (10-15 mins) to Palm Island. Absolutely no issues or stress during transfers. You are always met with a representative to guide you the way and help with luggage. Luggage made it perfectly fine and everything was well organized on behalf of the resort staff. Upon arrival staff’s priorities are ensuring the most easy going and laid back arrival and check in process. You check in at your comfort and pace. Beyond exceptional service by absolutely every single person at the resort. Very kind, well-mannered and professional staff. Had the pleasure to also meet the General Manager, extremely wonderful woman with excellent customer service skills. Staff is beyond attentive to everything, from house keeping, to hospitality, to eating and replenishing, it deserves a much higher than 5 star. You have everything to your disposal, from peaceful and quiet beach with crystal clear waters, to exciting snorkeling with a variety of water life and quiet grounds with bicycles available to explore the island. You must be aware though, that the island has an abundance of iguana’s, pigeons, other birds and tortoises. The iguana’s and birds do come looking for food as you’re eating and the staff does try to keep them away. The birds are highly intelligent and do attempt to take food off your table 😊 I found it adorable and I really enjoyed my interactions with the wildlife and was NOT bothered at all by it, but then again, I am an animal person! The breakfast is standard buffet/with options to order breakfast, lunch and dinner are a la carte. There is a variety of foods from finer to more common dishes. The food was delicious and I do find a majority of the dishes have a zest of Caribbean touch. The presentation of the food is very fine dining like and the beverages are of all sorts. There are two main dining spots and during quiet seasons they are interchangeable throughout the week with notice. You have non-motorized water activities, an activity room with a tv and games. There are island excursions available and a very small gift shop with basics. It is a very small island that is quite isolated and therefore if you are seeking a silenced and relaxing place this is it. There is some live musical entertainment during dinner as well and daily activities throughout the day. The rooms, depending on which category you choose, all appear to be nice. I did upgrade to the Superior Oceanfront Room and would highly recommend it. It is a bit costly but you have a panoramic ground view of the ocean and palm trees directly from the comfort of your bed. The room is spacious, with a spacious washroom and small kitchenette closet space. Coffee/tea and small fridge replenished daily. The weather is extremely hot and clear skies and we experienced small rain fall during sleeping hours. Another FYI, the water from the tap is safe for drinking! You can also climb high points in all four corners of the island for pictures and panoramic views. There are several uphill walking paths available. We thank each and everyone one of the staff and General Manager for making our experience amazing! …
This resort is literally out of this word in location on a remote Island accessible by boat only, outstanding All Inclusive service of food, drink, amenities such as couples massage, Servi Bar in Our beach side suite filled each day, outstanding meals 3 times a day, bar open all day dawn to early morning hours, concierge available anytime for planning adventures, greetings at the dock when You arrive with rum punch and staff to carry even Your purse as You exit Your boat taxi on arrival and departure. Shout out/Kudos to Alaska, Concierge for outstanding service to Us all 8 days We were there arranging Our adventures and Couples massage. This is a perfect 10 in every aspect, and We never wanted to leave this Island paradise!
The best place ever to go and unwind! From the chef to the bartenders and Alaska and Ed taking care of your every whim was remarkable! The excursions were AMAZING along with the food, the spa, and especially the Mango Margaritas! Highly recommend for a girlfriend trip or couples. Other shout outs go to Nai, Shaquille, Oliver, The Prince, and many others who made our week special.
Our last visit was 18 years ago so it was great to return. After a long haul flight and the island hop in the small plane (an experience in itself), it was a relief to be on the boat with the island in sight. After our warm welcome, rum punch and short walk to our room soon we soon settled in. The staff are so genuinely happy and kind they soon become friends. The food was great -fish tacos, barracuda and vegetable roti were my absolute favourites. It is a nice to meet and thank the chefs after dinner. We enjoyed a well organised trip on Yannis to Tobago Cays with our lovely new friends from Arkansas. As the hotel was quiet we were able to take bartender John with us, such a good time. The staff work such long hours, housekeeping, bar, restaurants, gardeners, front of…
Writing this review while at Palm Island finishing lunch. If you would like to relax and rejuvenate every day, you must visit. This tiny island without vehicles, other than bicycles and golf carts, is a mostly untouched paradise. Natural and raw beauty with upscale touches only where they are needed. WiFi, a/c, and hotel staff service are terrific. Turquoise waters are warm, palm trees are plenty, pool is pleasurable, small spa offers high caliber treatments. You can socialize or stay private. Water activities, movie night on the beach, and private picnic are lovely options. Each and every staff member was friendly, eager to please, polite and professional. Katie, the manager, warmly greeted us at the dock upon arrival and has been a complete gem throughout our stay. She is…
I almost hesitate to write the review---as I want to keep this place a secret! You are greeted upon arrival with a rum cocktail and given a mini introduction and shown to your rooms. Check-in can be later! A sign of a true, elegant resort experience. It feels like Fantasy Island (or The White Lotus without the murders)! The staff addresses you daily by name. The service is personable and impeccable. Katie, the resort manager, is everything. The staff has many locals who have worked at the resort for many years, and they operate and interact like a family. They take great pride in taking care of the guests. Unlike some all-inclusives, the food offerings at lunch and dinner are well-prepared, fresh, with quality ingredients and most importantly, healthy! Quiet,…
We had a good vacation overall and plan to return in the future. I would have given a 4.5 rating if possible. The good points: - Arrival. They did a great job of getting us from Barbados into our hotel room. The check in was amazing and the best we have experienced in 40 years of traveling to Carribean resorts. We arrived with several other couples and were handed drinks. The manager said we must be tired so we could fill out the paperwork the next day. They had a staff member for each group escort us to our rooms. The luggage arrived before we did. Truly amazing! - Activities. There is plenty to do on this island; hiking, biking, snorkeling just off shore, pool, ping pong, water aerobics, yoga, Pilates, evening entertainment, and even a movie on the beach. -…
This was our 6th visit to Palm Island. Every time we visit we just love this place more and more. The staff is fantastic. The beach and water are amazing. We call Palm Island “Our Happy Place”. We always stay in the premium beachfront rooms. We love their location to the beach. The food is always good, but there is so much to eat. you will need to watch it if you dont want to come home a size larger than you started the trip at. There is nothing like the beach and the water at Palm. We have traveled the world and this is truly one of the most fantastic beaches there is, better than Fiji and Tahiti. The staff kits what sets this resort apart from the others. Always a smiling face, and they always remember you name —- they make you feel like family. Thanks to Johnny…
We just returned from Palm Island over the weekend. We were there for one week. We had a fabulous time. Katie and her entire staff were amazing and welcoming. Loved our time there! It was very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The bungalow, food, spa, and other amenities were enjoyed by us all! It was definitely a long travel day but worth it! So, if you are looking for a special vacation destination, you should consider visiting this resort! Cheryl and Mike F
Absolute perfection! From being met in Barbados airport to rum punch on arrival at the island, we were looked after from start to finish. Accommodation basic but more than adequate, clean and well maintained, mini bar topped up daily. Both restaurants are lovely great food and drink and staff attentive but not over powering, barbeque night was spectacular. Staff came and offered drinks where ever you were be this beach, pool, or anywhere on the island. Highly recommend hammock no 4 for a private picnic and a taxi tour of Union Island with Seymour as your guide. All staff including gardeners, laundry staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Katie has an amazing team from Mathew who came around and give you fresh beach towels, Baku the chef, Nick, John and Johnny B…
This resort is unique in so many ways and worth every penny. While not glitzy, its location and vibe are outstanding. There aren't a slew of rules, there are two lovely restaurants and bars to choose from for most meals, the sand is silky smooth and white and the water is turquoise and warm. The staff learn your names on the first day which is incredible and are so warm and gracious. I had never experienced that level of attention and warmth before. Lots of hugs at meals and when departing. We felt we'd made new friends. The manager Katie is awesome and full of life. Music is played most nights in the main restaurant-gentle background or occasionally dance music which is really festive. An incredible trip-worth the flight to Barbados and the puddle jumper to Union Island and a…
We enjoyed our 2 weeks at Palm Island - a lot. The primary plus point of this hotel is the wonderful location on a provate island with no cars. There is so much space for everyone. The rooms are well spaced and we loved our standard beach bungalow which had a private garden with 2 sunbeds and a table and chairs. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed comfy. The room was well cleaned and re-stocked everyday. The bathroom was OK, the shower a little weak but water is precious here so we didn't mind. The fridge had beer and soft drinks as well as fresh milk for coffee changed everyday. The coffee maching is a filter type with big Maxwell House ground coffee bags that make about a pint of coffee - we took our own coffee bags but the Maxwell was OK. Outside the room we had a…
The new island itself it beautiful. The ocean the clearest I’ve seen and is like swimming in a bath. Stunning. What really makes this incredible place is the staff. Every single member of the team made you feel special. They cannot do enough for you. We were emotional to leave and say goodbye to our new friends. It’s so hard to mention individual as they were all so good but Andre, Glenford, Hulda and Camille we will miss so much. The ocean front rooms are slightly dated but the hotel is gradually updating these so we knew this in advance and they were still lovely. The only thing that lets palm island down is sometimes the food. The lunches at sunset restaurant are incredible every day. The bbq night is fantastic. Just the evening meals are not as strong as they can be. We have…
This is a really good place. We liked it enormously. It's true that the food is rather average and unimaginative for an upmarket resort and the beachfront rooms do need updating (the shower is pathetic) BUT everything else is wonderful. The island is well kept and a pleasure to walk/cycle around watching hundreds of cavorting iguanas, the pool is a very good size and an interesting design (not the usual rectangle), the beach is prime Caribbean style, there are things to do (if you want) at various times everyday, the library has a surprising number of decent books, and there are very few people sharing the place so you can choose to mingle and socialise with them in the excellent bar(s) or hibernate alone - its up to you. And, perhaps best of all, the manager Katie has created…
My husband and I have now been to this resort seven times. We have traveled to many Caribbean resorts including many five star hotels. Something continues to brings me back to this gorgeous Island! The staff are amazing and Katie the manager does an amazing job making you feel like family. Service is top notch and seems to get better each time we come to visit. If you love nature, amazing natural beauty, beaches, ocean, adventure and peace this is the place for you as it is for me!
The island is amazing, although getting to this location is a journey. The hotel is great and the staff is excellent, all requests are fulfilled. We enjoyed the restaurants but felt it could upgrade the food selection and quality. This is not a non- smoking resort unfortunately, the open air smoking lounge is in the bar area within the restaurant. The smoke blows into the eating area while dining. The bartender was reluctant to address the situation, and rude. We had several other encounters with guests smoking as well. They seems to know that they are free to smoke prior to booking. The island has visiting sailboats daily that are not paid guests. They sleep on the beach benches and use hotel facilities and beach equipment. Security tries to restrict them but it continues…
This bucket list destination is nothing short of outstanding. Starting and ending with concierge service at Barbados Airport, nothing was overlooked by its superb staff and gregarious gm Katie ,former manager of resorts in Mauritius and the Seychelles. Small but large enough beaches and island so you never feel crowded. Excellent excursions and dining. All occupied buildings are in top notch condition from paint to cleaning. Bar closes when the last person leaves, beach is calm with no water shoes needed, pristine water and sugar sand. Paddleboards, kayaks and snorkeling is included . Fitness center is small but has,new equipment and ac is,sufficient. Ping pong, billiards and an extensive library next door as well as tennis. Bikes are provided for easy navigation among the…
Having stayed at some 30 resorts over the years, we (ok, I) have a pretty specific list of must haves for island vacation spots. I thought that last year’s stay iced it for me. Palm Island, it is. Then I spotted the hummingbirds in the sea grape trees shading our ocean front lounges. Perfection plus. I haven’t seen anyone mention the luscious linens and super comfy beds and pillows. Nor give credit to the meticulous grounds keeping. Literally every leaf is picked up from the beach daily, rows of agapanthus being planted for spring color, walkways swept …and silently, I should add. Anything you need appears in minutes via bike or bartender. This entire staff is top notch. You are acknowledged the moment you enter the dining areas . You can be as engaged or as…
Palm Island is the only Caribbean resort we've gone to more than once - this was our third trip. It is a small, friendly, relaxing and regenerating place. Accommodations and amenities are very high standard as is the food. Chef Baka gladly shares his recipes. The staff is exceptional - service in all aspects is first class and everyone greets you with a smile and attention. The beach and water are beautiful with snorkeling and other excursions easily arranged. Certainly not party central but if you want to kick-back and get your groove back, this is the place.
I was tremendously impressed by this private island hotel that merge together a luxury Caribbean island lifestyle with adventures in and out of the water. Our villa was located in a secluded part of the island, offering privacy and plenty of space to enjoy together with my partner. It was of beautiful design, had the kitchen of my dreams and two bedrooms with large walk in closets and bathrooms with showers both inside and outside. We had a golf buggy to get around the island with ease which really added to the adventure. There's lots to do on the island. From wellness classes, tennis court, a great gym facility, incredible spa, common pool area, food experiences to enjoy, library and water sport equipment to use as you please. You literally feel like you are waiting up in a…
We booked this 2 years ago pre-covid and SO needed Palm Island to disconnect/reconnect. This trip to paradise was perfect! The staff was so welcoming upon arrival, and our suite was comfortable and clean. The beach is gorgeous and water crystal clear with snorkeling steps from our suite with a variety of colorful fish. We biked around the island, hiked, played tennis and went to the gym. We had delicious meals (try the veal chop, tuna sashimi, ceviche, marlin and filet). And the staff became family. Thank you to our waiters and bartenders (Parnel, Louis, Shak, Nia, Andre, Tamara, Oliver, Johnnie, Glenford, Hulda, Minroy), the happy Housekeeping staff (Joy), and management (Devon, Alaska and Katie). I cried tears of joy and sadness when we left. We'll be back to paradise with our friends soon. …

Guests praise the scrumptious food, excellent service and pleasant ambience at Shangri-La The Shard Hotel. The hotel's central location allows for relaxation and pampering in luxury and comfort, while staff deliver a warm welcome and ensure guests have everything they need. Spectacular views of London can be seen from the rooms, which are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel's restaurants offer a variety of plant-based options, and the cocktails are highly recommended.
