    Really enjoyable instructional book with nice photos and step by step instructions. All the projects seem easy enough to do and the author has done a great job of explaining the process. Mostly for oil painters but you can also use acrylic paint. We’ll worth the money.

  • Easy to follow and understand

    I always wanted to try palette painting but wasn’t sure I could do it. Upon ordering this book, I saw how it guides you through with detailed steps and instructions. The book contains eight projects and Lisa helps me feel confident to be able to do each one. I just need to get the rest of my supplies and can make my own impasto paintings.

    I love everything about this book. The lessons have clear directions with lots of pictures for us who have ADHD, and are fun to paint and I have enjoyed all other lessons by Lisa Elley. She’s one of my favorite artist.

  • Good for beginners and technique seekers

    The book is nicely illustrated and starts off with the basic tools needed for palette knife painting. I found it easy to follow along and went and got some supplies. The projects were well graded and fairly simple to attempt. What I really liked about this book is that I was able to get some of the same effects shown and that was huge for me since I am a complete beginner. I would recommend this book

  • So much information and instruction

    So much detail in this book. An Artist Lisa Elley walks you through eight paintings, step by step, in this book along with all of the tools and tips necessary for this type of painting. I haven’t Ed painted in a decade and can’t wait to dive in a fry the palette knife technique, because it’s a hothouse and timeless style.

    Happy to get my copy today, a head of schedule. Flipping through the pages the pictures look great and the instructions seem easy enough to follow. Looking forward to delving deeper and giving it a go. I love the the artwork and hope to achieve something close.

  • The Best Book!!

    I received my book today and started reading it right away...I can't wait to get out my painting supplies to do her first project..Lisa's instruction is clear, concise AND she makes it fun!! This is a great book for beginners as well as seasoned painters!! So happy I bought this book...I want to paint ALL of the lessons!!
