The NZ Herald app is a convenient and frequently updated source of news. However, some users have expressed dissatisfaction with biased journalism and limited coverage. The app has technical issues, such as crashing and excessive CPU usage. Despite these drawbacks, the app offers a user-friendly interface and objective news presentation.

The NZ Herald app is very accurate and updated frequently. As I live alone and cannot afford a subscription I find it the best way to keep abreast of the latest news. The opinion pieces are well thought out and constructed and I love the Letters to the Editor section, as well as the quizes.
I’m very disappointed on your quality of journalism, your journalists are so biased and dangerous to our country, I have always believed the nz herald would not go down the woke / love and adore the pm stuff and would stay loyal in the middle I have been a journalist and would have been sacked for being biased I don’t want to cancel my subscription but will if you stay solely far left it’s so unfair to the people but also so dishonest, we need integrity Yours faithfully Jeanne Brown Right/left
A good newspaper but the ‘premium’ online subscription doesn’t cover the lifestyle section or a lot of the business section, which is annoying.
So easy to use and intuitive- unlike Windows 11 😉
Enjoy reading the updates
The old app enabled you to download a pdf of the paper so you could read it on the plane. The current app doesn’t allow this, & worse, when you’re in flight mode and it refreshes it takes you back a few screens so you lose what you had open on the previously live screen
I have a subscription to premium which is consistently out of date with the previous days news on the front of my digital page.
I have to read the current news on Instagram bio link. Poor!
NZ Herald app provides a great selection of avenues to find the news you want to access first, e.g. “Latest News” or select your next article by your region, e.g. “Auckland”, so user-friendly 😊
News is presented in an objective manner both in written form and with great video news clips, keeping you informed. Love this handy app!
Thank you N.Z. Herald!
On older iPad 12” the app regularly crashed. Now I have brand new iPad Air 2022 model I have worked out why… The App appears to be using excessive CPU / GPU power and the rear of the new iPad gets very hot very quickly as soon as the Herald App is in the foreground. Similar news apps from Stuff , UK Mail online, Singapore Straits times, Formula1 do not exhibit this behaviour. I might expect this from a game or other intensive app but not when reading the news. I will need to remove the case to be able to read the news for any length of time. Developers need to fix this ASAP.
Hi like your App but so much crime from Māori culture and Māori MPs getting there own way it get depressing
Dhd
Easy to navigate
The app is not as comprehensive as I would like. I am not sure what I am get for my monthly subscription.
Herald has too many lefties and hardly any righties so how can a reader get to read both sides of the stories. It is all one sided. Get this right and I might subscribe.
Come on NZ Herald, sort out the grammar, learn how to use your punctuation!😳 Most stories are repetitive, and the increasing number of premium stories often makes the site a waste of time. If the premium subscription was cheaper, I might give it some thought, but other things would need to improve too. On a positive- there are enough stories to keep semi-up-to-date on news, but don’t use this as your only news source.
Marginally informative at best & mostly from a negative point of view.
Best deleted and enjoy another cuppa, you don’t need this App
Some good aspects - eg great columnists - but far too many downsides. For example, lots of clickbait articles/links; screen ALWAYS has to be refreshed upon opening to show current articles; standard of grammar/spelling not what it used to be; narrow range of newsworthy articles. Ultimately, other NZ news apps have better quality content, so I’ve just cancelled my subscription. I’ve no idea how this is app of the year, the user experience is inadequate versus competitors.
I am using an iPad. It takes 5 seconds to load the Herald app, about twice as long as it takes the web version to load. It should be the opposite. The search function is unreliable and bizarre. If I search for an author, the results will show articles from years ago first, but not the latest one at all. If I search a popular topic that is currently headline news, the latest article, which is on the first few pages of the printed version, won’t come up at all. Useless! Such a pity, since it could be a great resource. I complained about this but have not heard back. I don’t like that I cannot copy excerpts of text from the app to quote or share with others. The app otherwise works ok. It is unbelievable that this app wins awards. I think the Herald should consider the lack of competition rather than patting themselves on the back too much.
With the strong leftist journalists in charge this newspaper fails to offer balanced viewpoints on many topics and so fails in the extreme as a unbiased tabloid.
Insufficient investigative reporting on NZ Local Govt and Central Govt performance. Superficial stories on evidential corruption and conflict of interest. Just too many missed opportunities to go deeper to expose truth. These people survive off our tax’s yet avoid true accountability.
Where is the Paul Holmes factor in your stories.
Too much reporting on sport and token stories. Go deeper - this country is in trouble so we really need information from NZ best media - NZ Herald. Otherwise we’ll end up with an even more divisive country. You guys don’t want to be perceived as the Fox pro republicans of NZ. So get stuck into telling us what’s truly going on.
Yes you have a great website and you refresh front page stories often. However Home and Latest sections carry same stories. Get rid of Latest and focus on home.
Why should we update the app every time theres a new fkn version? I dont understand? nothing has changed on the app, not the ones that need changing anyways. You’d think them being the Herald they would have their priorities straighten out 🙄
The script frequently quivers over the entire app.
There is a huge amount of adds on each section.
Takes ages to load every time, almost always needs updating before use and despite a paywall, adds are everywhere
Informative and eye opener
Thanks
Everything is premium now- completely focussed on Auckland , need to delete the app as Stuff News miles better and more user friendly
Can’t read all the comments on this latest update. Please fix asap given we pay for this app
The July 2023 version continues the app’s shameful access to poorly written and edited news items with shocking editing, language, clumsy cut and paste from other media, repetitions, conflicting statements, regurgitating old news often as “latest news” etc etc.
Latest update won’t load. Stuck on logo screen.
I cannot access my premium subs now you’ve upgraded your app - FFS!
So many spelling mistakes
Basic grammar
Even software should auto correct this, what’s going on team?

SwipedOn is the most appropriate visitor management system for our company, offering style, ease of use, and affordability. The customer service is excellent, and the app is clean and user-friendly. SwipedOn has been highly recommended and provides great tech support. It replaces paper books for tracking employees and visitors, generating visitor badges and sending email notifications. The app also offers customization options and an "Evacuation Mode" for quick identification. SwipedOn has had a stress-free launch and has been a valuable tool for our facility.

Users express their love for the horror game, but they want more levels and stories. They also request updates and new content. They recommend the game to their friends, but they warn that some scenes can be scary. Some users complain about the excessive ads and the lack of options to change the ending of the stories. Others suggest adding sound effects, voice-over, and online sharing features. Some users give specific feedback on the Ouija board section and ask for clarification on how to reach the alternative endings.
