It has been 6 months and I still cant get my money back. And every time they tell me that it is my bank that has a problem. I even provided the bank card from another country and sent them all the supporting papers confirming that this is my account but still today they write me that the bsnk details are incorrect. Now thats funny, after 6 months and 3 different cards I dont think something is wrong with my bank cards. I am sure that they intentionally do not want to give me back my money and that's sad.I usually never write anything negative but after all these months I am going to do it everyday until I get my money back.
I’m trying to close my account. Was advised to close all my positions. My position has only 1 share, which I’ve tried to close. However the position remains open but I’ve been charged the fee. Have emailed twice now explaining the situation and keep getting response as close your position and now I owe more fees. Furthermore if this isn’t resolved, I will be charged a quarterly fee for non activity

Before depositing with ig i had to check how i will make withdrawals. Plus have to mention that even according to compliance procedures it will take them 8 weeks for checking the case and write you a reply. The story started with my request to withdraw a small amount of money. As initial card i used for deposit was expired i had to provide all kind of requested info to verify my new bank account etc. All being said, after they requested more and more info every time i proved the requested documents , in the end i was tired and I requested to close my acc and withdraw all funds.What has been approved by ig but i didnt know its just the beginning of the story.After my bank declined the operation due to national regulations plus due to reason that IG will send money from “offshore” like The Bermuda.So its already 2 weeks since the funds stuck in my bank. Now their bank has to request the funds to be sent back, but after all my attempts i dont see any progress and updates on the matter at all. As the money are in nowhere now, my IG acc is closed and they said can not be opened anymore to put money back to it if i can not withdraw successfully as for now. Im giving up and dont know what should i do, whats going on and how will all end up.Even there was no profit on my acc, just need the remaining funds back.
IG Singapore my complaint is the same issue face by one of the reviewer - Difficulty to withdraw funds from their our own account, they keep asking for bank statements, credit card & initial credit card deposit statements for verification stating about AML (excuses) To deposit your funds is v easy just scan ur credit card that all but when comes to withdrawal is hell ! Looks like my funds will be lock up by them forever. Be very careful when choosing Brokerage for trading always looks for their review before parking your funds there or until its too late.

Terrible broker I tested many brokers and IG seems to be one of the worst. Customer service is excellent trading platform also and product variety is very good however the problem is IG takes a lot hidden fees and manipulates your entries when placing the trade. It says EURUSD spread is 0.6 Pips in reality it is always 1.5-3pips however. They have many ways to take hidden fees something doesn't seem right at all, traded same trades on different brokers simultaniously for some reason IG trade always started with the biggest minus eventhough they should have the best spread. What happens is once opening a trade it takes some seconds to go through (with other brokers it goes through instantly) in this second you can literally see the spread widening for a second giving you a bad entry. Also losing trades get not close out conveniently always an error in execution on losing trades. Experienced many bugs on the trading platform including many requotes. About the swap fees we don't even need to talk something very wrong here when comparing with other brokers. In short they have many sneaky ways to take hidden fees and drain your account which you especially notice if you scalp or execute multiple trades.Then about SL placement there is also a problem unique with IG, you must always leave a minimum 3 pips of room for the SL placement (with other brokers it is never like this) so you can never place a tight SL or secure your position quickly on break even also when in profit you will always lose 3 pips of that Profit unless you close every position manually always. I think the 3 pips minimum distance has something to do with the illegal spread of 3 pips they anyway always take in the beginning of each trade (when there is the second delay on entry) even though the spread as stated should always be 0.6 pips as it is shown on their own platform while the market is open.Overall this broker might be good for swing traders for scalpers stay away much better brokers out there, where you can use small SLs and actually put your SL on even. This broker drains any scalper and scalping stratgies are not profitable with this broker due to hidden fees.My experience with this broker if you open many positions the hidden costs will destroy your account quickly. Only if you are swing trader and executing 1 trade per week then it might be a good option for you, however also then the swap fee where there also seems something not kosher (compared to others) can drain you when swinging.

Horrible company.They take forever to answer the phone. When they finally after 20 min answered. They take all the ID details and then say 'ok I will put you through to a dealer'. So I ask, why did you take my ID detials, they say that they can't put me through to a dealer without having them. They I am kept waiting for another 10 minuets (by then the price had drasticly moved - not in my favour) and the 'dealer' asks again for my ID details. WHY??? Have they not passed it on???I complained, and they say that usually I would get through quicker. But that is NOT true. Over the past few months when ever I called I had a simillar experiecne and each time the, overseas operator appoligizes sounding like it is a one off!No its is a rotten company. They want your money but do not provide a service! choose others like SPREADEX or CMC Markets Or City Index. There are many good compaines out there, IG is not one of them.

Literally trapping me into paying fees. Telling me that I have to call to trade / close my position and then charging me additional fees to do so. Not only that, but it takes over 45 minutes to even get through to make a trade. Compete waste of my time and money. I will never be using this platform ever again!

There is no question that, with my fears of personal information over the internet, that without the persistence & guidance of representative, Jean Mirambo, that I don't know if I would have been able to get my live account funded! Jean was polite & patient while dealing with my limited knowledge of the funding process, as well as, my hearing disability. I consider him a valued representative of IG!

I think some of these negative reviews are very unfair. I had a dispute with them 17 years ago and we fell out... but recently transferred my ISA there and find their fees highly competitive. They also have the best platform in the business-real time p/l's which I've not seen amongst other ISA/SIPP providers. They are/were poor in Spread betting (I'm with the market leader now) but as far as my ISA goes I have no complaints at all. Was going to transfer my SIPP but their rates are uncompetitive compared to my current provider.
Stay away from this company at all costs. They claim to be a U.S. company but that is far from the truth. They will hold you money hostage when trying to do a simple withdrawal. I have to get lawyers and the BBB involved.
Support team are always super helpful and responsive. I have been in contact with the IG support team over several account questions during the last few months. Their information is always helpful and solves my enquiries quickly and efficiently.
Well a few years ago I signed up for a seniors disability insurance plan at $2000 year ..l was told that the premiums would not increase for five years ...a couple years later I discovered that the policy didn't take effect till after I paid these premiums for the five years ...I was never told this when I bought the policy ...IG is nothing more than a pyramid scam people ...look it up ....
Have been with IG for many many years - when on the odd occasion in past years that i need to contact/ring them, I would get straight through to a sharp (switched on) trader or Customer Service person in the UK (London Office)Just had to ring them today - took 30 mins to get to speak to someone, that happen to be a foreigner (Indian I think) working from home the other side of the world in India, with a greeting of 'Hello' and no mention of IG Index (not very Professional) and could hardly understand a word they said. I did not feel comfortable giving my personal details from my fairly high value account to somebody the other side of the world at home answering the phone with 'Hello' - I shall be looking to close my IG accounts down and transfer to another Trading Platform
Don't get caught out like I did. If you don't do at least 3 transactions per quarter you get charged £24. I left some shares with them which were worth less than the charges I incurred. Absolute rip off. It's called a custody fee.
IG have just invited me to leave feedback on my recent interaction with them.It was awful as per usual.I have never before had dealings with such an unprofessional outfit.In my opinion they are very arrogant and make me feel like they don't care about the laws or the FCA UK regulator. I feel very much like they are cowboys and don't even pretend to act within the financial laws and regulations which are there to protect its customers from rogue outfits.

These IG people have the most unfriendly customer service ever! They have deducted for 6 years every month Euro 14 "ïnactivety fees" from my account without me realising it or agreeing to it. I have been robbed for a total of Euro 1,050 What a scam!! Do not use this IG platform!!!!!
I opened a spreadbet account and placed my first trade. Slippage on entry - over 9 points. Significant. Now to exit the trade - slippage? Who knows. This seems like a way to just strip me of my money without giving me a chance to execute a trade and either win or lose on the merits of the trade itself. To guarrantee fulfilment at my price - I must pay extra. How is this actually legal to do when other brokerages give 100% price entry on the basis of being able to select stop/limit entries - when this is not available at IG.Com.

I am not sure that Trustpilot is a good forum for reviewing a specialized service like IG Index.Having said that, I have to admit that I've been using their service for the best part of thirty years, and they are a very professional bunch.I think that if you are very into more complex trading, especially of options and futures, you'd be better off with a mainstream broker, such as Interactive Brokers, but as a way of getting exposure to a wide range of cash markets IG Index must be worth a look.I am always sceptical that UK firms can hold their own against US competition, when the service is at all IT-based, but IG Index seems to be the exception that proves the rule.I was prompted to write this because there was something I had to call about. I very rarely need to resort to the telephone, but at least the interaction I had today was efficient.
Terrible customer services - hung up on me 3 times trying to get through to buy shares
Having already received confirmation that my ISA transfer documentation had been accepted I then received an e-mail telling me to do what had already been done. To make matters worse the opening sentence of a generally illiterate e-mail began 'Hope you are doing good'. I guess the answer should be 'No, I is not'. The helpline said they couldn't help and then sent a request for a review of the helpline experience to my wife not me.As a result I have no idea what is happening on a straight forward transaction and with a fast approaching deadline that if not met will cost me an additional c£750 in income tax. Pretty useless I would say.
THEY ARE THIEVES,On several occasions, I asked for their commission on each transaction. They never replied. I asked for a rebate then they started charging extortionate commissions. I will take my case to Financial Conduct Authority. If you are losing there is no commission but if you start making money they start charging you a lot of commission.
5 stars for assistant Akbar who went out of his way to find out who called me earlier today - Easter bank holiday - as I was in a state of panic fearing this was a fraud .... anyway the call did come from IG and that knowledge alone helped allay my fears. Thank you very much Akbar
