Comprehensive 3D Printing Failures Guide

One of the best written and most useful books I have. Jammed pack full of information, but still easy to read. Due to a particular purchase, it became necessary to do some learning and troubleshooting. The ideals, hacks, hints and explanations were not expected, nor was the Cura setting section. Though I still have a lot to learn, my comfortability and understanding level has gone way up quickly due to the information provided in the book. Access to the digital version and higher resolution pictures have been helpful as well. The personal response during the request for the digital version and feedback on my current issue was unexpected and appreciated.

Well organized and written. Easy to understand and read. Pictures are very helpful. Additional online links to U tube videos are provided throughout the book. Great beginners resource to have on hand when a PC is not available. Glad I was able to afford the purchase at this time. Spend time reading and learning up front and hopefully less downtime and mistakes going forward. 2 key areas of the book are the electrical/safety aspects and the maintenance sections.

No disappointment here ! The best and most thorough coverage in one source I have found hands down for the myriad problems that arise in 3d printing. Excellent photos for diagnosis, clear description of problem and potential causes, and solutions to try. Yes, you could probably search and sort through a zillion Youtube videos, etc.- time consuming and you still might not find your answer. Very well organized and thoughtful.
A real find ! Especially for newbs you NEED this book. And no, I am not Scott's brother....

If your new to 3D printing (even if your not a novice) I highly recommend this book. You can spend hours online while strangers argue why your layers shifted of why your prints have strings, or you could look all.the issues up. The quality of my prints have definitely improved since I have bought this book.

Great book by a great guy, it's a real shame what youtube is doing to the author... If you're interested in 3D printing this is a worthy book to keep on your shelf.

I read somewhere else before buying that this book is a must have book with all the information you could want. Well, that's mostly true. This book covers all kinds of failures that you will encounter and give great tips and instructions on how to correct and fix them. It also covers much more like the material science of the filaments and best practices to use. I wish the book also covered such things as how to upgrade parts, how to disassemble hotends and extruders, etc. But I guess all of that is really complex and outside of the scope that the author intended. I certainly believe that this book should be bought every time someone buys a 3D printer. It will save you HOURS of headache and frustration.
