Marmaris Bay Resort offers a beautiful location with sandy beaches, stunning views, and a variety of activities. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. However, there are some issues with smokers and room maintenance. Overall, it is a great resort for a relaxing holiday.Marmaris Bay Resort

The views are incredible! The pool is lovely, the staff are too. The rooms were okay, served the purpose but could do with an update. Food was okay but I was ill for two days from something I had eaten. The alcohol was not good either, stopped drinking it after two days. The steps are a key part of the resort but definitely wouldn’t recommend if you struggle with walking up and down stairs!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a whole, I would say this isn’t the worst hotel, but isn’t the best, especially when it’s advertised as five ⭐️ If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday with your partner, as its adults only (17+) I would recommend but don’t expect 5⭐️ service
My main piece of advice, especially for anybody who is in two minds reading other reviews with some negative comments, would be not to hesitate. Any issue people describe is, in our opinion, totally negligible. Staying in the hotel for two weeks we managed to talk to other visitors from various countries and they were all happily relaxed and positively happy with their choice of the hotel. Certainly, you have to be sure that the place ticks your personal boxes as it is not like any huge and shiny five-star hotel. It is a place with a great athmosphere, beautifully located with staff happy to be working there. ( I would gladly have such views in my job). Despite being away from the city itself, there are some extras like spa, a beauty parlour, two gift shops with local products…
If you don't want to read the detail below, I can summarise by saying we would definitely return, it's a beautiful location, maybe too far out for some, and there could be mobility issues for some. Read on if you want an honest detailed review, mainly factual rather than opinion of possible based on 40 something couple! Location Quite far out of Marmaris in a beautiful bay surrounded by forests, a marina and mountainous backdrop. Taxi, Bus or Water taxi to marmaris. Bus cheapest, water taxi more expensive but a nice experience. The forest surroundings made it seem really peaceful and unspoilt. Room Basic double, we were near relax pool, it's no 5* luxury but functional. TV, (itv only) fridge, coffee/tea sachets, we were happy with our room. Hotel facilities Relax pool, which…
Just come back from a week at this place and cannot recommend it enough. The setting is idyllic, the rooms are clean, fresh and the ac is very effective. Yes it built across a hillside and there are steps everywhere or steep inclines but they have a dedicated team of great guys who will run you all over the place at a moments notice. We were a solid 20 min walk away from our room but never had to walk back only down ( our choice). The staff are what lift this place from amazing to especially fantastic. Nothing is to much. From Ataz and Gamzie on the Zest bar making great cocktails to the great guest relations team who genuinely really care about you getting the best out of your time there. The main restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner is brilliant. The selection is nuts, a lot of it cooked fresh and the staff are very proactive in making every meal relaxing and special. The view from this restaurant like the zest bar is great. As the sun goes down the sunset is beautiful, it’s a fantastic place for romantic dinner. Above that restaurant is the Al la carte restaurant. We went to a Mexican themed night and were blown away by the food. I’ve traveled in Mexico a few times and the food was spot on. The waiters were great fun and we could literally not have eaten another thing. The quiet beach is lovely, as is the relax pool. The hotel is a £5 taxi ride from the Marmaris Marina and usually take 5-10 mins to arrive. We were slightly nervous after reading some of the reviews about the hotel and it’s offering, but could not be more impressed. As customers we felt valued, welcomed and appreciated. We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you MARMARIS BAY RESORT we could not be happier.…
We had a great vacation. Nature and the sea are beautiful. The food is good, varied. The hotel staff solves any issues quickly and clearly. The main disadvantage of the hotel is a lot of smokers . They are everywhere: in the restaurant, on the beach, in the neighboring rooms, the constant smell of cigarettes. This is terrible! A very good “boutique store“ on the territory of the hotel, which presents high-quality Turkish-made clothing. Very interesting models of clothing (trousers, shorts, dresses, shirts and much, much more). As promised, they do not lose quality after washing. Thanks to the store manager Eros.
Lovely setting with great views. Unfortunately this place is spoilt by the high percentage of smokers. On the beach, in the restaurant, at the beach bar and while watching the evening entertainment- spoilt by inconsiderate smokers. If you value your lungs don't go to this resort. I also found the majority of the staff extremely rude. Rooms require updating, the beaches are small with worn out sunbeds. Some of the usual Marmaris crowd seem to have found this place, which is a shame. This place will deteriorate quickly if this type of clientele continues to stay here. Message to staff- speak to ALL customers with respect or just speak when they acknowledge you. Training in this department would be useful for the staff. Would not return.
This was our first summer vacation in Turkey. When you book hotel you are gestimating a lot of things. A lot of reviewers wrote about a number and how annoying flys have been, but we didn`t see them. Obviously the hotel did the job so no flys at the site. Grounds are excellent. Hotel is in the national park, and combination of pine trees and their aroma in hot summer is something to charge your senses quite a bit. Facilities are good, well maintained and everything was very clean. For five stars hotel they will need some upgrades in future but they are in good condition at the moment. Beaches and their types were perfect for what we were expecting and therefore we have not used pools at all although they seemed fine. All inclusive in Europe including Turkey is in principle hard to compare to middle Americas all inclusive. Here the food was locally oriented, good, fresh and there was a lot of choices. Would I like a bit more to select from sea food? Yes, but for the price we paid we understand from beginning that it was not going to happen. Simply in Europe sea food is far too expensive and therefore you would need an ultra or a lot of X-es in front of all inclusive to fit that in and that would change price significantly. All together I am happy with facilities, services and food we got for the price we paid. Last but not least, people working here are excellent, friendly, and open to your requests.…
Wow what a resort! The most beautiful location with a quiet bay/beach and a more lively bay which had another beach with music, cocktails and live, evening entertainment as well as water sports in the day (not too many, quite discreet) Never a problem getting a sunbed! Beaches are sandy but you need to cross a few pebbles to get into the sea. Would recommend beach shoes if have sensitive feet! The two pools catered for everyone’s needs. A more lively one with activities and a very quiet one higher up, both with their own bars. Don’t pack beach towels, you get a card which you swap for fresh ones daily. The whole resort was beautiful, set amongst trees and flowering shrubs. Many photo opportunities! Some rooms are a very steep walk but you can always wait outside reception and a golf buggy will arrive to take you anywhere on site. Air con is very quiet and efficient. Wi-Fi is amazing everywhere! All of the staff are very friendly and happy to help. There is constant cleaning, sweeping, tidying going on! Staff in the main restaurant were incredibly helpful trying to accomplish my gluten free needs. There was always plenty to choose from but you could also request some food was ‘adapted’ (eg meat not tossed in flour before grilling etc) Not many GF puds available but you can ask for ice cream and always plenty of fresh fruits! We had a lunchtime checkout with ann evening flight but were allowed to stay on site to eat and use showers in the spa before leaving. Will definitely plan to return asap! …
It was a perfect week. We took advantage of the many possibilities of the package. food is always fresh and delicious. On the first day, we did a Turkish bath and massage at the spa with the recommendation of our friend, we were very satisfied, we recommend it to everyone. Thanks to Ms. Çiğdem, the guest reception manager. Endless thanks to the hotel manager, Bilal, he always produces solutions.
Had a great holiday. Amazing location, well laid out. Stone clad chalets on a wooded hillside with a good 500m plus of private and accessible coastline is not what I had expected in Marmaris. All felt very secluded, private and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful and 90% of the time very friendly and helpul. Guests also pretty friendly and respectful of each. None of the sunbed or food self serve angst you often get. No central main block with core accommodation, reception, bar, restaurant. There was a central open reception adjoining the main restaurant, below which was the main pool and 24 hr bar. There was a bar for the second pool, and 2 further bars for the two separate private beaches, one of which did cafe style food 1pm to 5pm. The spread out nature was nice, and the views and setting gorgeous. I had seen reviews about being overrun with insects, poor maintenance and a broken safe. I saw about 4 insects the whole 10 days (August). There was a constant background chirp of cicadas, but these don't bite or target food and drink. They added to the atmosphere of the place however. The safes use keys rather than keypads, so whilst the picture I saw of a "broken safe" looked like a keypad had been ripped off the door, it was simply the key hole. When I booked the room it was sold as 'garden view' which I assumed meant a lesser room. However, it did face the sea but the view was part obscured by trees. This was true of most of the rooms I think, and was great and added to the sense of luxury and privacy. A few minor negative comments. The food was very good but not the best I've had. Plentiful salad but maybe not very imaginative. Imaginative vegetables but maybe not very plentiful. Surprisingly few fish options. The last place I stayed at was known for its food offerings, so I think I had been spoilt. The restaurant was however stunning. The rooms were not the biggest I've had but again the place was such that you wouldn't want to spend time in it other than to sleep and get ready/changed for meals. Yes, the floor tile spacing didn't match the wall tile spacing, the sealant round the shower was a bit rough and ready, the finish on the exterior air-con units was peeling, all of which made it feel not 'five star', but it didn't affect the functioning of anything, and I appreciate that the costs of constantly dealing with issues like this for the sake of perceived luxury would probably put the price out of my reach. I thought it offered good value. I travelled as a group of 4. If you are a couple, there are no issues. The place seemed more set up for that. There appeared to be few rooms with twin beds. I had emailed ahead of arrival (twice) about having one double and one twin room. This request didn't get through. We ended up with two doubles but as the allocated rooms were adjacent and in a good location it was not worth moving. Also in the restaurant there were far more and generally slightly better located tables for 2 than 4, and so was moderately annoying when couples sat at the tables for 4, limiting further the choice. The public minibus service to Marmaris ran every half hour from right outside and cost 20 TL. There was a three times a day boat taxi at 15 euros each return. The car taxi was 15 euros per vehicle one way. I used the minibus once and was fine. For me and my group the off the beaten track nature was great. Two pools, 2 beaches, a long waterfront concrete promenade with sunbeds, loads of fish to see with the naked eye, googles or snorkel, several bars, the normal sorts of activities, meant you never felt claustrophobic and could happily spend all day at the resort. It does limit the number of excursions that pick up from the resort though and made them more expensive than locally sourced ones. Having the assured transfers was great though and made it worthwhile. I had pre-booked a Marmaris Bay gulet cruise and a half day 4x4 jeep safari both of which were great. Hope this helps and feels like a realistic and balanced review. Would have no hesitation in recommending or going back.…
Hidden gems in the nature , very beautiful and peaceful place for family and couples , all the workers are very friendly in kind . Water sports activities was amazing with professional crews. Amazing clean beach and pools , tasty food and drinks. Will be back definitely.
All is good. Specially Receptionist Necdet. Thanks for the good rooms! Food, sea, staff are perfect. Calm place without kids. Thanks to the hotel for the warm stay and nice holidays. Recommended to all people who wants relaxing holidays.
The most enjoyable holiday I have had and one that I will definitely cherish! Incredible location and stunning views everywhere you look. You have the option of the pool and sea which is something we really enjoyed. Never an Issue getting a sunbed at any point throughout the day. Diego and Bobby are brilliant and an asset to the hotel. I am not one to get involved in the entertainment activities but loved every minute (especially the aqua aerobics and darts!). This hotel is the best place to socialise and make friends. We met some incredible people on our trip and the relaxing atmosphere makes you feel like you are on a spa retreat. The food quality is amazing with plenty of choices. Service could be hit and miss and sometimes you will not be offered a drink and will have…
Really lovely hotel, with great views especially at sunset. The food was outstanding with a different variety everyday. We especially loved the zest restaurant at lunchtime followed by an ice cream, My favourite Dorito chicken wrap! 😋 We spent our week at the relaxed pool as we really liked the quietness there. We didn’t need to get up early to reserve a sunbed, we would normally go around 10 after breakfast and there was so many sunbeds left. We went into Marmaris twice using the bus outside the gate which costs 70/80p each way and it runs regularly. We were really lucky and got a room at the bottom with a great view, the room was clean and spacious. Yes the bathroom is a bit outdated but this didn’t bother us as it’s just a bathroom! Please don’t listen to the…
Amazing holiday good food and the entertainment team Bobby and Diego made the holiday really special y getting people together. Met the most amazing people that soon became friends and made the Holiday even more special. Would definitely come back . Beautiful scenery beaches and pool areas which are clean and always available sun beds which is a major plus. Only thing that could be improved would be a little makeover in the bedrooms as they are a little dated . Overall an a place and can’t recommend enough
It’s a beautiful location with a beautiful bay great for snorkelling and swimming great for couples the free drinks aren’t that good but the food is excellent but scaled down compared to previous visits Prices for cabanas and massages are very expensive There are plenty of sun beds for every one and lots of places to sit It’s very clean and staff are very friendly
We have just come back from the best holiday ever. The hotel is beautiful and in a beautiful location. The food was lovely and freshly cooked each day. Had a few room issues but these were sort of resolved - the bathrooms need a little more tlc. They had the best entertainment team who just made the holiday so enjoyable - especially Diego and Bobby who were such fun. I would also recommend any treatment at the beauty salon - they were brilliant. We will definitely come back.
Overall an amazing stay. We stayed at the resort for 5 days and only wished it was longer. Mehmet was incredible and was always welcoming whenever we saw him. He deserves so much praise as his is a credit to the hotel. I wish all could be like him. Generally staff were friendly but due to language barriers some conversions/requests became difficult. Our hotel room was nice and clean but the distance to the main part of the hotel was a bit far and thus going back and forth to the hotel room became a bit of a chore. Very surprising and disappointing they don't not offer an iron!! Facilities were outdated (gym, parasols, sun loungers) but was made up with how amazing the views are from the beach. Drinks were ok but nothing amazing. Alcohol used was local and thus the proof was a…
We have spent lovely time in Marmaris Bay Resort in August'23 and we can recommend the hotel to everyone looking for great holiday experience. The hotel is beautifully located in the pine tree forest, right next to sea shore. It offers multiple opportunities for spending time - 2 beaches, 2 pools, sport activities and others. Huge compliments for the chef and his staff - the meals are probably one of the strongest points. Personnel is always helpful and smiling, making your stay very comfortable and pleasant. We recommend visiting some of the shops located inside the hotel premise, especially the clothe boutique - warm regards to Eros.
A wonderful resort, you will not be disappointed if you book this. Well out of the buzz of Marmaris but easily accessible as the local bus comes right up to the resort gates and costs approximately 60p each. Set in the most beautiful surroundings with pine trees and flowers everywhere. Views are to die for everywhere on the resort and all the restaurants overlook or are beside the sea. Very much a romantic place for couples and very chilled. Music every night with a couple of live bands per week. The staff totally make this place and are so lovely. A huge shout out to Diego and Bobby in entertainment for getting everyone of all nationalities to mix and have a great time. We have made so many friends here and had so many laughs thanks to them. All staff are so pleasant and a…
An absolutely wonderful experience. The service has been so lovely, all the staff are so kind and polite with big bright smiles on their faces. The resort is kept in impeccable order, every beach or pool has their own bar. The food at the main restaurant has more choice than anywhere than I have ever seen and it is so incredibly delicious, each day there is something different. Today we had hand made donuts. The entertainment is not overboard and you can join whenever you like, the music has something for everyone throughout the week, plus lovely cocktails to loosen you up! The rooms are perfectly adequate for what you need. The beds are really comfortable. The bathrooms are styled to traditional Turkish decor, have a good sized balcony, have a fridge, excellent air…
Burglary in the hotel room! No security cams, poor protection. Never again! You have to twist someone’s arm to call for a police. Terrible crisis management, terrible public relations responsible. You need to change your attitude asap!!
Marmaris bay resort is honestly the best resort I’ve ever been to. Everything about it was class. The service from the first to the last day was very helpful and nice. The food was very good as well, they served deferent type of cuisines everyday. I want to personally thank the guest relation for always helping us they are so lovely. Overall I had a wonderful time staying at this resort and I’ll definitely be back.
I highly recommend that visit this hotel. Because this hotel have a good service and facilities good speciall thanks for Guest relations manager Cigdem and Melis. And also thank you for reception, hairdressers Lale, Ahmet, bellboy and hotel guide Mr. Huseyin. See you next year.
the hotel has the perfect staff and amazing overall hotel .. and specially the guest relations ( cigdem manager) she is so nice and very helpful .. the food is very delicious and different everyday highly recommended
My husband and I were here from the 11th-18th August for our Honeymoon. We were greeted in our room with a fruit platter, a bottle of red wine and a letter congratulating us. What a lovely touch! The room was a standard double 608 was a fair few steps to get to and could have been more of an issue if we were not fairly energetic people. Something to keep in mind. Some days it felt a lot of effort just to make it back to our room. It was however clean and the air con was a nice relief at the end of a long hot day. Cleaners came in when we wanted however they did not once sweep our room or our balcony. Now I will say it IS a pine forest there are pine needles I have no issue with that, but by the end of the week there was a big collection of pine needles on our balcony that…
The hotel stay was very good, we were very satisfied. Being in a forest area gives people peace and tranquility. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is also a spa service at the hotel. The staff is very professional. We thank the hotel management.
My husband and I have just returned from our 5th visit to Marmaris Bay Resort. I could stop there!! However, here's what we loved... Great room location; The choice of beautiful places to spend our mornings/afternoons; The staff are truly a credit to the resort; they are friendly, helpful and courteous; Always a great choice of food, whether at the main dining restaurant or at 'Zest' (lunch); The choice of spending the evening at the resort or traveling (boat/taxi/bus) to Marmaris to visit the marina, bars and bazaar. I'm certain that it wasn't our last trip to Marmaris Bay Resort.
I have been reluctant to write this review as I wanted to keep this secret haven all to ourselves but felt I really should share our experience. This was our first trip to Turkey and it certainty wont be our last. This hotel was lovely. The location first of all is so pretty set amongst trees, mountains and set in a beautiful bay. We had a partial sea view accommodation but in fact had a wonderful view of the beach and sea. The room wasn't huge but was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The rooms are set on a hill which some people may find difficult but there are buggy's available to transport you if required. The staff we found to be extremely friendly and hard working always willing to help. The food was delicious and varied daily. There was something to please…

The Gran Estanplaza Berrini is highly praised for its comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast with live piano music, and convenient location in Sao Paulo. The staff is professional and accommodating, and the hotel offers a classic and clean infrastructure. However, some guests feel that the rooms need an update and that the hotel falls short of its five-star status.

Old House Cosmopolitan is an authentic German restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, serving delicious food with excellent service.
