This book looks like a homemade Ms Word printout with no edition. It also has little content and it is massively overprice. I would not buy it again.
I loved this book nearly as much as Norman Whiteside's goal in the 1985 FA Cup final! It's really well laid out, and I enjoyed the consistency of having the three sections, Questions - Answers - Did You Know, in the same order throughout each chapter. I'm a pretty big fan and there was a bunch of stuff I didn't know, so the author hasn't just gone for the obvious Q&A's. A fun addition to the quiz nights in the pub!
Lots of Quizzes, trivia, and sports stories about what is hopefully your favorite team (if you're going to read this). Good for brief bathroom reads, or for picking up on a coffee table to flip through and start conversations or finish bets with.
This book contains a lot of information about the team's history from its very humble beginnings in 1878 right up to the conclusion of the 2019-2020 season. Some of the information that this book mentions in it include the following information: The Manchester United are known across the globe by the nickname of "the Red Devils." In 1902, the team re-branded itself as Manchester United. Before being named Manchester United, the team was known as the Newton Health LYR team. The first Captain of the team that was not born in the British Isles was Eric Cantona.
This is an awesome book for Manchester United fans, it has snippets of information and a good collection of trivia quizzes. I just love to read this trivia book.
Okay, so the words "football" and "England" confused me. I get that soccer was I guess the original football. Seems like American football is more akin to rugby but once I realized that it was talking about what we call soccer, all was well.
The trivia goes from the beginning to the current stats of the team. If you are a die-hard fan, you'll love it. If you just want to win at sports trivia, you will love it. If you're thinking of following them in the future, here's a good place to start. Cheers!
We can always get facts with just a quick google search, but how we present such facts is where things can get creative. This trivia book does not pretend more than it should be. Itâs fun, informative, and an easy read. Fit for kids to adults who have an affinity to football. With such a rich history that is Manchester United, Iâm glad the author did not just stick with easy facts about famous Man U players like Rooney, Beckham and the likes, but actually had questions that were difficult for even the most avid fans. The difficulty factor made things more interesting.
I've been a Manchester United fan for 18 years almost, so I was real happy to read this.
The book has a lot of good information about the club in a quiz format.
Some of the questions were a little funny and irrelevant, but otherwise it was a good book. Would have loved more quizzes on actual games Manchester United have played.
Soccer is one of the first sports I ever played. This might sound crazy but I like the running and kicking, to say the lease. Reading about the Manchester United brought back memories and taught me so much I didnât know. I still play with my friends now and try to to give them trivia I learned from the book. It was so many interesting facts such as The club was a founding member of The Combinationin 1888. I also learned that Before being named Manchester United, the team was known as Newton Heath LYR Football Club. I liked this read and can't wait to read more.
I'm a big soccer fan. I watched my son play in grade school, high school, and college, and I even coached him for a time when he was young. Back then, we loved Manchester United and were even lucky enough to take a trip to England to see the team, a trip I'll never forget. That's why it was such a delight to come across this book. It's filled with lots of fun facts about the team that will surprise even the most ardent United fan. I loved it. Highly recommended for Manchester United fans and for lovers of soccer worldwide.
