La Puerta: A Great Spot for Food and Drinks in Izmir

We went there with a group of 7 people on a Saturday evening. We ordered a large beer platter with a terrible presentation and food quality. Their peanuts are not fresh enough for a nice place like this. They also certainly need to sharpen up...their service. It seems like all waiting staff don't want to have an eye contact with any customers. They need to be more attentive, observant with smiles on their faces. The service is slower than expected. It takes a long time for beers to arrive at tables. I love this place but they should improve the food and service standards ASAP.More their service. First of all some of their staff are really amazing and friendly which really would push this to a 5 but i was almost about to give it a 3 also.
Their choices of beer was really nice for being Turkey and the food was...more than ok.
So what was bad?
Honestly that you can smoke inside in 2018 is quite amazing, my clothes and jacket smelled so bad afterwards. It really felt like going back 25 years in time.More more than ok.

We have been so many time in La Puerta Bostanli, so we change the place. Again nice treatment and ambience for an evening with friends and beers.

It was my friend birthday. We visited and various foods but no foods were unsatisfied.
Staff is all kind and try to come to serve whatever we needs.
Even though it was sudden request but they prepared cake for celebration.

Nice place with kind crew. İf you wanna listen good music and have many many types of beer you can choose this place.

Service is quite fast in La Puerta.
Good restaurant with a lot of choices of food and beer.
Always busy so recommended to book in advance.

The place is really cool,has great menu, great music and nice atmosphere. The pasta with pesto sauce was not the best I have ever eaten but alright. It is a nice place to spend some time with friends, have a few drink and so on.

This is the best place in izmir. The meals are amazing and the stuff is very kind. The concept is "traveler" style. The owner is also nice and kind. They have a seperate menu for the beers all around the world, definitely worth it.

Same as baverien beergarden.meals are delicious. If you can not finish your dish, they are sharing The rest with 'dost' ( A dog belongs to The street;))

They have a great cocktail menu and the music is English - a welcome treat after the endless Turkish live music and euro trash. The food looks good too.

This nice bar serves different types of beers and good food in a good atmosphere. It is always crowded so you may need a reservation for rush hours. The street which the bar is on might be a bit scary in night time.

Great atmosphere, packed out when I visited (weekend), large selection of beers and drinks (quite rare in Izmir) and decent food. A great place to spend an evening with friends. Close to the main bar area.
