A straightforward and informative book on puberty for preteens/early teenagers. It provides essential knowledge in a nonjudgmental manner, making it easy for kids to understand. However, it does not cover contraception or STIs. Some parents may find the female anatomy section uncomfortable, but it is scientific and appropriate. Recommended for 7th-8th graders rather than 10-year-olds.

Great book for the naturally curious preteen/early teenager. Sometimes itâs a hard topic to talk about and you think they are not ready but they want to know and knowledge is so important.
I was really impressed by this book. The content was straightforward and well designed for easy reading, and I felt like it was the right amount of information put forth without any agenda or bias (or maybe it was just inline with my own bias, lol). I left it around for all of my kids to read whenever they wish, and we've talked about it as well. I definitely agree that, as with any book on these topics, you should read it beforehand and make sure you're comfortable with the material and ready to discuss it. My son was 12 when I bought it and made it quietly available in his room. I found a few years back that the right time to discuss things like this with the kids is about 1-2 years before I think it is the right time, and I use that as a guide!
It was recommended to me by a coworker with a grandson around the same age⌠so after I gave the puberty talk, I ordered it as a follow up. Iâm pleased with my purchase!
My son like the book and help him answer questions that he was shy to ask me about.
Short, matter of fact and nonjudgmental book thatâs easy for a kid to digest. I knocked a star because inexplicably, the book says NOTHING about contraception or STIs. âcondomsâ are in the index, but the referenced pages arenât even about sex or relationships. Itâs a bizarre omission.
Bought this for my 12 almost 13 year old son after an awkward, gut wrenching visit at the pediatrician. I realized I had talked to my girls so much more about puberty by this age and I really didn't know what to say to my son. I bought the book, didn't make a big deal about it. I asked him the other day if he read it and he said yes front to back. I am glad he liked it and found it interesting enough to read.
purchase for the pre-teens son to read in his own time and pace. To help him understand and what to expect as he goes through his teen years. He read the whole book in sitting and found it easy to understand. Would high recommend t
His book.
Very important for your child to know everything in this book. I loved it
First off this is a great book and it is VERY thorough. Almost to much. I bought this book for my 10 year old son who will be starting middle school next year and be around kids much older them him. (5th-12th) I felt that because it said nearly teenager it would be a safe bet. Well I read the book and it is a little much for a 10 year old. I think I may introduce pages in stages over the next few years and as questions come up instead of just letting him just have it. This book to me is more suited for 7th-8th graders. Which was when middle school use to start when I was younger. (Especially the sexual arousal and girl parts sections) donât get me wrong my son knows women and men are different but he doesnât need to know that women have a clitorisâ is a small bump located at the front of her vulva. It is sensitive, in a similar way to the head of a boys penis. Many girls find stimulating their clitoris can result in sexual arousal and orgasmâ quote from page 42 . Besides those two sections and a little bit from The Who am I section the book is great for younger 10-12 year old boys. I would just make sure you are present and able so explain anything in it.
I purchased this for my 12 yo son. I haven't given it to him yet because I feel some of the information is more than I am ready for him to know. I definitely suggest reviewing the information prior to giving it to a kid and then discussing it with him.

Customers have mixed reviews about the Elkton Tackle Bag. Some find it practical, durable, and easy to transport, while others feel it lacks storage and is smaller than expected. The wheels and backpack option are appreciated, although there are concerns about the small wheels for rough terrain.
