Ikbal Thermal Hotel: Comfortable Rooms and Excellent Service

Was a great trip. We arrived on 17.05.22 for 4 days, from the beginning reception (girl and a boy - sorry I don’t know the names) helped a lot with a room and everything we needed, the room, the food in the restaurant are great! And thank you very much for the team of housekeeping ladies for the careful and comfort everyday cleaning, thanks to Azra, Aynur & Melek (hope I wrote the names right) Rooms: 616, 716

Our company organized a motivational trip for its personnel. we were biased. we didn't think the hotel would be high quality. but we were very surprised. staff, service, quality I give 10 points to all. I would like to thank Ms. Tülay and Ms. Gübra especially for their care of the 4th floor. They clean and take care of great rooms. Thank you very much for their smiling face :)))

Walked in without reservation,Check in was smooth (COVID-19 bar code no is required) and staff were helpful lobby huge in size with plenty of seating,Spa area with swimming pools both in/out door access, coffee and access to children’s area in addition access to shopping arcade all from ground floor plus direct access elevator to SPA on each floor. Room was good in size and layout and comfortable beds and clean with all good amenities coffee/tea and free bottled water, bathroom was adequate in size with good amenities.Breakfast spread and quality was excellent and staff were both helpful and friendly. We were on our journey from the west coast of Turkey to the east coast and decided to make a short stop in Afyon (Afyonkarahisar). We did not know what to expect and were therefor overwhelmed by the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff. Our special thank you goes out to Mr. Suleyman at the reception desk and Ms Gueldane from housekeeping. Thank you

This was the first thermal hotel established in Afyon and this explains that they have refined over time their attention to detail. We visited the two other quality hotels in town and opted for this one because the decoration was by far the best and the outside pool area the nicest. We appreciated the spa treatments and the 36 degree and 42 degree pools which left us renewed. The service was outstanding and we soon realized that it is because both the General Manager Mr. Gümüshan and his assistant Mr. Kirimlioglu are "hands on" the job and supervising every detail. We had only planned to stay for one night and ended up staying three. I will return next winter for more spa treatments because Afyon is a charming old town with plenty of heritage. Although ikbal is a very famous brand in Turkey, their hotel is diapointing. Thermal area has wind blowing. In restaurants you cannot take water to rooms so that you have to buy additional ones. Ikbal restaurants favourite desert “ekmek kadayıfı” was served in 1cmx1cm dish which is also not in good taste. Very poor open buffet. The most important is that our room , which was a non smoking room, has a very dense smoke smell .

We spent a night in this hotel. This a nice new hotel with large rooms. But we had to face poor service and staff who doesn’t speak english. Air conditioning was not working and it took 2 calla and quite a bit of time to get it fixed. Surprisingly, this hotel has a very strict no alcoholic beverage policy. They do not sell it and even if you buy it outside you cannot drink it in the hotel except in your room. This goes further than Turkish laws. So if you like a cold beer at the bar you should find a different place. This hotel is not really suitable for foreigners.

The Hotel was generally older then my expectation. bathroom amenities were very poor. Towels were old. Some foods were finished in buffet but they refused to replace. And I noticed a sign in the restaurant written that please use small plate.. How it can be ? So over all hotel was poor.

Unbelievable cleaning service the cleaning staff was delightful. Rooms are in excellent condition so clean it is unbelievable. Ive never seen anything like it the cleaning was magnificent unreal unbelievable!!!

Perfect housekeeping service;) they are very helpful and kind to us... especially those working in the 5th floor named Güldane and Tülay... as a family, we will remember this thermal otel with their delicate work.

We originally booked 1 night at this hotel however as first impressions were so good we quickly booked a second night. Great vallet parking amazing rooms with big comfy beds and friendly staff. Great facilities with both indoor and outdoor pools and close to lots of shops. The hamam was great and although single sex you can book family room which we did and really enjoyed Used this to break up a journey to Istanbul and will definitely stay here again. One thing to point out is the hotel is dry and is a little conservative so not the place to come if you want a beer!

The hotel was pretty good and the employees (yeliz etc.) were especially caring. The pools were okay but the interrior pools were kind of dirty. The food was really good. The fact that you could make your own saphetti was really fascinating!!

Stayed only one night on our way to Istanbul. Reception Gülşah helped us a lot , also Tülay Yuca was good at room service. Reception offered us the Honeymoon Suite without any additional cost. The room was big ,clean , toilet utilities fully available and a very different type of bed a “round bed “ , quite funny. Breakfast stars at 07:00 however if you want omlette you have to wait 08:00 o’clock for the related staff to arrive . Breakfast was perfect . They offer free tea/cake between 16:00-18:00 hours on the first floor , we went there but it is very dirty , cups and cakes are on the floor etc. caused by “customers only “ . Thermal pools are available , they give you bonnet costed 3.-Lira , however you will observe that not all the customers are using those while they are in…

Location is good. Room service is good. It is nearby highway. Activity areas are clean. Partial board is good but lunch is extra.room is hoter than average,it would be harder to sleep at first days. Alternative shopping and eating is possible due to nearby shoping mall. Not more than 4 days accomodation advised because of low amusement activities. Gender seperated pool for women is possibile. Price/facilities ratio is moderate.p

I stayed there for three days with my friends. Room service was good. Staff also are very kind.There was a very variety of food it was delicious. I very satisfied with this hotel and the thermal services. I recommend it for everyone. The most important thing for me was the existence of the mosque and being very organized and clean. The swimmingly pool was amazing specifically the slides. The thermal also was very clean and hot :)

If you expect this hotel to give the room on time then it's too much to ask for. We have been waiting for at least 30mins after 3pm. And the reception is lying saying that they will give us the room soon. They don't provide any information regarding the status of the room either.

Stop by to İkbal and Spent a few nights in this 5 star thermal hotel. Thermal pool and Turkish bath will be good your healty. Rooms are comfortable but it's too hot for sleeping. Clean and comfy beds, clean bathroom; great breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We stayed twice at this thermal hotel and greatly enjoyed it. It is one of the oldest hotel in Afyon, but it has been entirely renovated. Rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. The food is delicious (this is a half board hotel) and the buffet offers something for every taste. We enjoyed the large indoor swimming pool as well as the outdoor thermal pool.It was a very relaxing stay and we will definitely be back.

Clean and comfy beds, clean bathroom; great breakfast. Only issues were the lack of adequate towels and bathrobes for two and that the door to the tub wouldn't close. Didn't have a chance to try the SPA but heard it was good, too. Satisfied overall.

Spent a few nights in this 5 star thermal hotel just recently. Food, especially the breakfast, choices offered is superb. Very helpful staff. Next to a shopping center of an unusual character. The shopping center is designed like a small village mall of a single level encompassing the street and nature.

Hy there, I had some problems with my back and i decide to take my friend advice who is going often to Ikbal thermal spa.. For the first day I went to hotel it was such a nice welcoming , people were so nice . Straight away I went to the thermal pool, after all my body got relaxed I went for a massage.. And for the first time in many month i had the most amazing sleep, no pain during the night, next day i was able to move better .. I was over the moon. I spend my day in the shop, amazing complex.. Amazing .. I left part of me there.. I highly recommend this place. Everything was amazing. Thank you guys for all.. I will see you soon. Best wishes

Amazing food and restaurant, facilities are reasonable. Pool could be better managed to stop some people from jumping into the pool. Good location, staff are generally good. Rooms are very comfortable.
