Room smelled like cigarette. It is big but the room ruins that. Checkin is at the restaurant -- not nice. Plus the cleaning lady entered our room without knocking before it was our due checkout time!!
Held a meeting there recently. Stale cookies, questionable homemade ice tea and front desk so unfriendly you try to avoid asking them anything. Location is a plus, close to highway and room is adequate.
I came here for a business meeting - very convenient as it's on an arterial route/road which means that businesses can meet and stay here without going into Ghent. It has lots of room for restaurant/dining and is very clean and professional. You must make sure that you get a room at the back of the hotel away from the main road, otherwise, you will lose sleep. The food is decent but quite expensive for what it is - great serving staff though and very good breakfast. Beds are comfortable and room are clean - baths are small but OK. Getting here is difficult if you are not driving - you have to get a taxi from Ghent ( about âŹ23) or else get a bus (âŹ3). I got a taxi there and a bus back - the bus only takes about 5-10 minutes longer and you can get them close to the Shell garage (about 5-minute walk, but be careful crossing the road). I had to wait for about 20 minutes for my bus, but the stop is covered. In retrospect, I would have stayed in beautiful central Ghent which is as idyllic as Brugge and well served by very regular cheap trams - great for getting to Sint PeterTrain Station which goes straight to Brussels Airport in about an hour and 10. If you are happy with a good, modern roadside hotel, with attentive staff and food, then this is a good option, but get the quiet side!âŚ

This experience is a hard one to rate. I feel the food was four stars but the service was three stars. So really a 3.5 is the real rating. At this point in early August 2018 this hotel is under construction đ§ but no one mentioned that in the reviews on TripAdvisor. {TripAdvisor is more popular here in Eastern Europe than Yelp which I am disappointed by because I feel I can search more specifically on Yelp and Yelp reviews mention early important things like when restaurants are cash only that TA reviews seem not to mention. But to see more reviews you must search TA.} You can see they are trying for a very upscale feel for their new decor at the hotel but itâs so incongruous next to the construction rubble. Ok, on with my review: the staff were all in their twenties, some younger and although there seemed to be a lot of them, we still felt ignored. No one greeted us so we had to ask at the bar. After being seated by one person, menus brought by a second person and water delivered by a third person we had no idea who our waiter/waitress was! They didnât seem to know either as no one came to take our order for an uncomfortable amount of time. We flagged down our first staff member and she took our order. After the meal was delivered by a fourth (!) waiter we were never approached again. No questions about needing anything or for more drinks. We finished our meal, each used the facilities and when we were all together again at the table no one had still been approached by staff. The restaurant was about 1/2 to maybe 3/4 full, there was lots of staff, but they would disappear to the point where none could be seen. We ended up wanting to leave to get to another place on time so we asked for our bill at the bar. I kindly and calmly told all of this to the young manager as we left as true constructive criticism which he thanked me for. The ironic part was the food was good! Smallish menu which we prefer but nice round selection of food. I got the risotto, husband got beef filet, son got sole fillettes. It was all four star food. Bread was good, fries came with one of our meals and they were also tasty. A small house salad with bitter greens was also part of the meal. For the $$$ price, service should have been as good as the food. Hopefully it improves. âŚ
This is a very comfortable hotel close to the motorway and convenient for visiting Ghent. There is a little road noise but not intrusive. There is a good restaurant with a pleasant open terrace, and an excellent breakfast.
Good room with comfortable bed. Lots of TV channels. The outside table was a good idea. A lot of lovely hot water for showering but the room was too hot and it was difficult to sleep with thick winter covers.
+hotel has a lot of parking places +have a big restaurants -reception for rooms and restaurants are the same and very small -rooms are hidden and hard to find, giving people the feeling that rooms are inferior
Free parking, terrace outside bedroom for smokers, beside motorway, hot breakfast, wifi. Perfect for stopover between Calais and Beielfeld, Germany. Excellent menu for restaurant. Friendly English speaking staff.
Located outside of Ghent, it is great value for money, especially during holiday season. Staff were really friendly. We had dinner once during our stay and the food was really good with nice veggie options.
