  • Fantastic Hotel

    You don't want to miss this hotel. Beautifully located in the heart of Sittard, in an old monastery. The room was spacey, great view to the garden, everything you need, comfortable beds, great shower. Great and friendly service. Amazing breakfast!

  • Great big hotel, not so friendly personal experience

    The hospitality lacked friendly faces and kindness. Felt rather cold. And that in this difficult time. It was rather agressive about the corona measures, but also with questions and so I feel that they lack the understanding what a customer needs.

  • Pleasant luxury

    Friendly staff, spacious brand bew rooms. I was there for a business meeting. The staff surprised us with smoothies in the morning and the afternoon. Good beer on tap, nicely located in the old town. Tip: part of the city’s underground car park is reserved for the hotel, with a dedicated hotel entrance.

  • Hidden gem in Sittard

    An outstanding hotel in a very special setting, an old abbey in the center of the city. The hotel rooms are very nice and the restaurants are excellent. We have visited the hotel many times and actually don’t understand why it is not recognized as one of the best hotels in the Netherlands.

  • Clean, very tasteful hotel in Sittard

    I have been visiting the Merici now for several years and find it superbly located, tastefully appointed, and very well run. It is a great location for my business travels and the close walk to an excellent variet of dining options in the square is also much appreciated.

    Beautiful hotel with tasteful design elements. Nice city center but quiet location surrounded by beautiful gardens. Comfortable room, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Definitely will go there again!

  • excellent stay

    Loved the old building and how it was turned into a very stylish hotel. The breakfast we had outside in the sun was very good, with ample and quality gluten free products. Both 2 terraces adjoining former convent gardens were an inspiration to visit the rest of this walled city.

    Nice building and modern room, wonderful view on the garden, quiet, breakfast-room is fantastic designed, very short distance to shops, restaurants enz. Parking under the hotel was perfect. Good service.

  • Spot on design.

    Lovely and stylish hotel. Spot on design, spacious rooms and very friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast was tasty and the selection was great. Only downside I could find was that there was no water at the breakfast buffet. But if you ask for one you get it.

  • Great location, super overall appereance

    What a lovely building at a great location in Sittard. Close to a nice square with many restaurants and bars. But the absolut best was the breakfast, never had such a wealth! The room had a good size with a modern design. Absolutely nothing to complain!
