Hotel Lucia in Portland has amazing staff that provide top-notch customer service, making it a great place to stay for business or pleasure. The hotel is centrally located, has comfortable beds, unique touches like handwritten notes, and offers complimentary bikes and happy hour drinks. The decor is a mix of modern and industrial art, with a tasteful conversion of an older building that keeps its original charm. Although some rooms may be smaller than expected, the hotel is a lovely stay that's well worth the price.

The room was lovely. The hotel aesthetic is great. The robes are incredibly soft and pretty size inclusive. Everything felt very clean and comfortable. The desk staff were super friendly. I had decided to stay overnight because it was my bday. As soon as I got to my room there was a knock at the door. I was surprised by a hand written birthday card and a bottle of chilled Pinot Gris. Like how fabulous is that?! I work in Portland but live 45 miles away. I stay in hotels here often. I would definitely stay here again. Absolutely.
Really comfy beds, super attentive front desk. Loved it! Also has cool art and photos all over hotel! Also has accessible showers if you have anyone on a wheelchair. Location is also fantastic. Would stay again.
Walked into my room to be welcomed by a handwritten card, the radio playing softly, and a beer sampler in the fridge. The staff was very friendly and the AI concierge always pointed me to just what I needed. The accommodations were super comfy, too. Everything you could ask for, honestly. I wasn't in a suite, so it wasn't a huge space, but it was definitely everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
Great service!! Comfortable beds! Can use their bikes, happy hour beer, perfect location downtown .. lots of little touches for this boutique hotel . Second time staying it is my go to when I go to Portland for business or pleasure
Good place for the price. Central location. Near restaurants and stores. Amazing and kind customer service, very memorable experience. Only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the size of the bathroom and lack of counter space, but for the price and how good the customer service this is a good place for a short trip. Would return
Hey, so I wanted to share with you guys about my recent stay at Hotel Lucia in Portland with my girlfriend. We were there from May 8th to 10th for two nights and it was such a great experience. We had just gotten engaged the day before, so it was a special trip for us. The hotel building is a bit old, but honestly, the beautiful and classy interior made up for it. What really stood out though, were the staff. I've worked at a five-star hotel in Vancouver B.C for many years, but I don't think I've ever experienced service like this. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, from upgrading our room to surprising us with a bottle of champagne and rose petals on the bed, along with a handwritten letter to celebrate our engagement. But what really made the experience unique was the warmth and joy they brought to every interaction. It was like we were welcomed into their family. Shoutout to Mak, Joyce, Piper, and Gabe - you guys rock! We felt so at home and would definitely stay at Hotel Lucia again if we ever go back to Portland. It's always the people who make the memories special, and Hotel Lucia's staff are a prime example of that. Thanks so much, guys!…
I wish I remembered every staff member who assisted me during my stay but unfortunately I don't so I can't shout-out people by name. I was in a frustrating situation when I initially came in to the establishment which was quickly alleviated by the front desk staff. I had not experienced so much kindness and patience as I navigated my funds. Not only were the staff welcoming, but they made me laugh when I needed it and I just felt at ease. The room was immaculate and comfortable and I finally got the rest I needed. I won't ever forget the humanizing treatment I received from Hotel Lucia and will highly recommend this place to everyone.
We stayed at Hotel Lucia for two nights over a long weekend, bookendling a night in wine country. We booked a premium king one night and a superior king the other night and oddly, the experiences were night and day. That could be endearing (it’s an old hotel / stalwart in PDX so the quirks may be part of the charm for some?) but it was also confusing. First night / superior king - massive space. The size of a small studio apartment with a sitting area and desk and etc. Very old bathroom - anyone over 5’10” would need to stoop over to fit under the shower head. The room was quiet and well appointed. Final night / premium king - tiny, tiny room. You couldn’t walk past the foot of the bed without brushing against the flat screen TV mounted on the wall. The bathroom door opened…
Stayed here for 4 days while visiting Portland for the first time - incredible hotel experience. The staff were great - they were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the city. The hotel had little detailed offerings that distinguished them greatly - from the bike rentals, a nightly free Happy Hour drink (including non-alcoholic offerings), games galore (including board and cabinet games), and locally-sourced coffee/tea every morning. If you’re planning on going to Portland, highly encourage you to stay at the Hotel Lucia.
Centrally-located, attractive art, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Room surprisingly small and cramped for the price and description, with a noisy fan system and an unappealing view of air-conditioners, but otherwise fine. Would have been nice to have been told when booking that the restaurant and bar were closed. Experience marred more by every dishonest hotel sales tactic you can think of when you try to book a room via their website (and, despite what they suggest, you can find reservations here more cheaply via other websites). Had they replied to the diplomatic email I sent them after booking, to feed back how sour a taste their online sales tricks leave in the mouth, I might have written a less negative review. But they didn’t.
Central location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Arcade room downstairs. Great HQ for a Portland visit! I don’t know why this thing is forcing me to use a minimum of 200 characters. I don’t want to write a dissertation
This was hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced. I work in the Hospitality Industry, and a lot of people (myself included!) should take notes on how Hotel Lucia treats their guests. I’m in town from California to sit for my Sommelier exam which is quite stressful. Hotel Lucia provided me with a comfortable, quiet yet modern place to study and relax. From allowing me to check in early to check out late, the team here is just super accommodating and never made me feel as though I was a burden with my timing requests. They have an awesome “concierge” text service that provides super quick responses. Please do yourself a favor and don’t even consider any other place to rest your head when in town— I’m deeply impressed and grateful.
Perfect for my solo business trip. I think the building itself is pretty old and has a lot of character, but the feel is modern. The lobby/lounge space is cool, lots of room to hang out and comfy furniture. Every single staff member was really friendly and laid back, and I was even handed a local IPA at check in. Location is pretty central and close to many restaurants.
Incredible service! Everyone had a fantastic attitude and were very customer focused. Any questions, concerns or changes I needed they did so promptly! Overall very satisfied with the friendly service and would definitely come back to this hotel!
The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to bars, restaurants, night clubs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is big and very comfortable bed.Private parking with valet. I will totally back to this hotel on my next visit.
The best staff. Amazing art thru out. Very interesting stuff. Complimentary happy hour that really got me going. Chooo chooo all aboard hell yeah hyfr big big hunter the Beatles pinball free beers yessir.
Brandon and the valet from Cuba was extremely helpful and enjoyed talking to them. The hotel is convenient to a lot of attractions that you can walk to downtown. Good eating and sites that are close. Thank you
What a quaint and lovely hotel in the downtown area! While I know it depends on availability our stay started with an early check in, that was really a big help to get settled in our hotel room before heading out to explore the city. It's just an example of the top notch service and willingness to accommodate at this hotel. I've stayed at many places where that is not the case. The hotel room was clean, and comfortable all around. The location is centrally located for activities in the downtown area and close enough to escape to nearby attractions outside the city. They offered a wonderful happy hour, free pinball and video games in the basement area, and be sure to check out the game room in the back. Being gamers, my wife and I discovered a new one that we ordered on the…
The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful from the moment we pulled up to the hotel. Location is downtown and parking is an issue but they offer valet parking which is very convenient if on the pricey side. The lobby decor is beautiful, they offer daily happy hour, breakfast fruit and beverage, and have umbrellas available for use. The hotel is very charming, room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable with a large bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next trip!
I was treated to a complimentary beverage when I arrived and I loved the radio playing classical music and an espresso machine in the room. I didn't take advantage of it but I can see a noon check out time to be helpful.
Hotel Lucia is a must place to book if you visit PDX. I love how the incorporate alot of modern and industrial art pieces as well as supporting local crafts and ales industries. The staff are always on top of things and valet parking is available, you are assured that your vehicle is well protected and safe. They have fitness room at the basement as well as pinball machine. They also host gig nights for performing artist.
Tastily converted older building which has been able to keep the original building’s charm. No room service or bar/restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of stuff one the area. My personal fave,.. windows that crack open.
We stayed at the hotel Lucia Portland. A great stay.. Welcoming staff. We got a free upgrade to a king room. The room was clean with Nsspresso coffee. Absolutely great hotel. My full recommendation Uzi AND Anat
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, welcoming reception area with plenty of areas to sit, nicely decorated, clean. For travelers looking for a Boutique Hotel, hotel Lucia Will not disappoint you. Felt also save, you need your room key to access the hotel after some evening hours
Really cool chic hotel in downtown Portland. Very clean, comfortable bed, and staff were on top of everything including by text. The rooms were quiet and peaceful, in my case looking into an interior space instead of the busy street outside, as per my request. Umbrellas provided! Quite an impressive place-- highly recommend.
Beds are very comfortable and warm. Pillows are great. Staff is amazing. Location is wonderful. Hotel is stylish and comfortable. Arrive between 6-9 and get compliments beverages from local breweries. 10/10.
Brandon greeted me and was amazing, we’ve stayed here several times over the years and love the cleanliness of the room and property. Always friendly staff! Would recommend always to anyone. Great location as wel
The hotel is beautiful, we’ll appointed with nice touches. The staff are all friendly and greet you with a smile. We were upgraded to a corner king room with great views of the city, thank you! Great location, so close to many of Portland’s best places for recreation, shopping, food and drinks! We would stay here again.
Hotel Lucia was such a pleasant stay! I will definitely be back! The all staff was friendly and helpful. Mac got us checked in quickly and had great suggestions for our staff for things to do. The overnight staff was wonderful! There are so many places to eat and fun shops within walking distance. They have a valet package that you can get which is awesome and safe. They have a complimentary beverage for the 1st night stay, gym with sparkling water machine, arcade area, beautifully decorated interior with an area to play games. Breathtaking art all around the property with interesting books and magazine you can browse while you relax in the lobby. Thanks so much for helping to make my 1st trip to Portland memorable!
From check-in to check-out, a wonderful experience. 1. The staff - friendly and helpful 2. The room - 604, Superior King (Just WOW) The bed was SO comfortable, and the room had everything we needed and more. 3. The Concierge - Above And Beyond
