The Hotel Lucia is my favorite place to stay in Portland. It manages to be elegant and quirky at the same time. The rooms are lovely and the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Any needs I had were addressed immediately and with a great attitude, from accommodating early check in to providing great advice on where to have a great dinner. Highly recommended .
Stayed in a premium king room on the top floor. It was very spacious and comfortable. I loved having a bathtub and the wine glasses, bottle opener, and coffee implements were a nice touch and often missing from higher end hotel rooms.
The complimentary drinks on check in & free pinball machines downstairs are amazing perks! Customer service A++, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Rooms all clean and comfortable. Location is close to good food and transportation to see the sights. Also lots of good spaces hanging out with friends and family downstairs, with board games, or just chilling.
Stayed here after an extended work stay. Room was comfortable the water was hot and I appreciated the bike rental being available though I didn't get a chance to use it. My phone had been left and they are overnighted it to me.
Hotel Lucia is a gorgeous historic building with fantastic art and beautifully renovated in a very comfortable and chic style. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The beds are comfy with wonderful pillows. The bike loan is a super cool amenity We love the location there are many fantastic places within walking and or biking distance. 24 hour staff is super helpful at all hours we arrived at midnight and checked out at 4am and were in and out at many different times of the day and night. WONDERFUL!!!!
The hotel has always been my favorite. The staff are exceptional in every way, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which as a woman traveling alone, I especially appreciate. The rooms have everything one needs and are thoughtfully appointed, with calm colors and high quality materials. Clean … very pleasant.
The Hotel staff is attentive & accommodating. Very refreshing to stay at a property where guest experience is a priority. Joyce at the front desk is amazing. We walked to all of our meals & concerts. Hotel is conveniently located & your room key is required for access. You will see reviews about homeless being around downtown Portland. We experienced no issues. The Hotel is very safe. We would like to thank Mr Skelton & his staff on a job well done.
We were delighted with our upgraded room and enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel. Exceptional and knowledgeable staff. Good location within walking distance to trendy restaurants and wine bars, etc. The only downside is lack of parking onsite, yet parking garages are within a block or two. Valet parking is a bit pricey but worth considering.
My friend and I absolutely loved staying at the Hotel Lucia during our girls trip. The Front Desk team were nice and helpful. Our room was clean and our beds were like sleeping on clouds. Loved their complimentary happy hour. It was nice to take a break and have a drink while playing one of the many available games in the common area. Absolutely loved the Indiana Jones pinball machine. The location was nice and there was plenty to do within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Portland!
From arrival to departure, we received authentic care and attention to our stay + needs. Extremely clean + comfy space. Stimulating fine art throughout space, comfy areas to hang to enjoy visuals, free arcade with pinball machines + video game, free hot beverages in the morning and also happy hour during 6-9pm. Walkability is amazing - to great food, retail and food shopping, etc. Claire checked us in - she exudes professionalism with a great balance of humour, while providing us stressless user experience throughout our stay at Hotel Lucia! Thank you Claire and staff -- we definitely will be back!
The hotel is a beautiful old hotel with an updated, artsy mid-century modern style. If you love art, there is plenty to feast the eyes on, and the 70's vibe is fun and beautiful. All of the staff were friendly, and the manager Matt was especially engaging. Loved it all.
Loved this hotel! Great location, very comfortable, and most of all, the staff was phenomenal. I left my backpack at a local restaurant and when I discovered it was missing, the women at the front desk dropped everything to call the restaurant several times to try to locate it. Once it was found, they even went to go pick it up for me. They went totally above and beyond. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Portland!
5-Fast friendly service. Street reception and valet parking is great. Room is clean and bed/pillows are super comfortable. Lobby design and artwork is fantastic. Highly recommend. Parking offsite or valet.
My boyfriend and I absolutely adore Hotel Lucia. It’s our must-stay any time we need a place in Portland. The team is so kind, attentive, and helpful. I truly don’t think I’ve ever found another hotel with staff as fantastic as this one. The rooms are always beautiful and spotless. Highly recommend staying here if you ever get the chance.
Ham radio was super cool, the music was playing soon as you walked in had me jamming all night. Super chill vibe. Utilities all clean plenty of towels. Able to control the thermostat. Overall really liked the stay.
Great people, great hotel! The hotel team was awesome, and the place is really great. Cool space. They have an arcade room in the lobby, and give you a local beer each evening is you like. Very cool photos and art in the walls as well.
Chose the hotel due to it's proximity to Pioneer Courthouse Square for a concert. I was so pleasantly surprised with the amazing staff and little perks! (A complimentary cider/beer at 6 pm Happy Hour, a noon check-out, a breakfast from 5 am - 11 am!) Also, don't miss the all-you-can-play Indiana Jones pinball, Dirty Harry pinball and arcade Street Fighter! Loved the sitting area with the games, perfectly set up for people watching out on the streets of downtown. Will absolutely stay here again if there's another show I'd like to go to.
Hotel Lucia is an epitome of perfection and attention to detail. Staying in the Penthouse Suite, I came with a discerning eye for cleanliness, given my OCD, and was absolutely thrilled to find the hotel not just meeting but exceeding my expectations. It's clear that the awards they've earned for cleanliness are wholly deserved. In the wake of COVID, when many hotels shifted their priorities to sanitizing over thorough cleaning, Hotel Lucia stands out for maintaining impeccable standards in both areas. The staff's dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in their prompt and attentive service. However, if there was one small area of improvement, it would be the sheets – they weren't to my personal liking. Overall, this hotel offers an unparalleled experience combined with…
Beautifully decorated boutique hotel. My wife and I went for our anniversary and there was a bottle of sparkling wine and some chocolates waiting for us. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. There are bicycles to borrow for free (recommended!), and other nice touches like a free beverage in the evening, and free coffee and oranges in the morning. The hotel also has free pinball machines and board games. The fitness room was small but had everything we needed. It was easy walking to the sights in downtown (Powell's, Portland Art Museum, Oregon Historical Society Museum). The going rate for parking downtown is $55/night for valet, but Alder St. Smart Parking is $32/night and secure, 3 blocks away. My only criticism is that the (free) wifi was a bit slow, and offerings on…
Claire and Erwin did a wonderful job for us. Thank you! There was a loud party next to us and Claire worked hard to solve the issue. Erwin did a great job on promptly replenishing our room. Concierge and the outside valet staff did a great job as well.
AVOID AVOID Don't stay here. Two years in a row our rooms are not ready. We have booked over twenty nights with no customer service. It is Saturday night at 5 pm and no one is at this 4 star hotel to help us get a room, provide us with courtesy beverages or food, no one able to solve any issues...just awful. Not worth the money. Bummer because the atmosphere is nice. AVOID AVOID
Very nice hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. The bathrooms sinks are very small and poorly designed, but the room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. I would gladly stay here again the next time I visit Portland.
We stayed here for one night on the way to the coast. We checked in super late after a delayed flight and I think the gentleman that checked us in perhaps handles the valet normally (he was posted up outside). He was so warm and welcoming, even late at night. He really started the stay off on the right foot. The room was small and quaint but perfect for our one night stay. This spot really met our needs perfectly!
Love this hotel. Great value for money, was looking for a relatively cheap one night stay in Portland. This hotel was everything I needed. DOG FRIENDLY and provide a dog care package for your room. Great location, valet parking option, welcome beer and coffee in the morning. The rooms are simple but everything we needed.
Excellence defined! I’ve stayed in Portland many times over the years. This stay was my favorite. Hotel Lucia offers the perfect blend of luxury and historic charm, centrally located with the very best service.
The old-fashioned in the room was a very nice touch! The room was nice and the location is very convenient, being in downtown Portland with several restaurants and eateries close by. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant of its own, but that isn't a problem.
Front desk was very nice and gave us recommendations both inside and outside of the hotel. Rooms very clean and quiet. In the heart of downtown and within walking distance to every destination we looked for. We try to stay at a new hotel every time we come to town and I’d say this one has been my favorite.
My daughter and I love to visit Portland and wanted to try a different hotel so we luckily chose the Lucia! It is a wonderful spot, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and the room on the top floor was SO quiet (always important for me) and comfortable with good quality linen and a very comfortable mattress. Will definitely return to this lovely hotel next time we visit Portland!
Hotel Lucia was awesome!! Everyone we encountered there was so nice! We had a super late check in, and Lloyd was very friendly and instantly made us feel at home. We were left a handwritten card in our room, making us feel even more welcome. Our room was super clean and very well done. There are many simple things that go a long way; the coffee bar every morning, as well as the beer in the evening, the board games available to play, the arcade room. The staff truly made us feel welcome! We will definitely be back.
From check-in to check-out, a wonderful experience. 1. The staff - friendly and helpful 2. The room - 604, Superior King (Just WOW) The bed was SO comfortable, and the room had everything we needed and more. 3. The Concierge - Above And Beyond
