  • I love this TV

    I was kind of hesitant to by this brand of TV. I have had it a couple of months now and the picture is high quality. I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for great quality for an affordable price.

  • Best picture quality for the price

    Best picture for the price. I got 50in model for $170.
    Reduced 2 stars for 2 reasons. 1- fire tv interface is not upto the Mark. i have a firestick which works far better.
    2- remote eats up the battery. I need to change the tv remote battery every month. Sometimes it lasts only 15 days.

  • Horriblemente lento

    No lo recomiendo... desde que era nuevo era lento y apenas a 3 meses de empezar a usarlo se volvio mas lento, si quiero ver netflix o youtube o la aplicacion que sea simplemente no carga la pantalla queda en negro y no pasa nada como si estuviera apagado le vuelvo a poner en home y tengo que intentarlo muchas veces hasta que decido cambiar de aplicacion... otros dias de la nada vuelve a funcionar... el peor televisor que existe NO LO COMPREN ojala me devolvieran mi dinero con gusto devolveria este horrible producto que no vale la pena. Por cierto el control remoto tambien es como cuando ya la pila se agoto... no funciona al presionar los botones hay que insistir... se que no es la pila por que ya la reemplace y es lo mismo

  • TV goes ON and OFF all by itself. Sometimes in middle of NIGHT.

    I wanted to try a AMAZON fire built in TV. It started out OK. had some learning to do and Alexa can be a problem. Even when not talking to her, she hears something, and uses it to mess up TV. So tried to make sure blocked noises. but then new problem. The TV will turn off which is fine if not watching it for awhile . I always turn it off going to bed. Sometimes I am made awake by Tv coming on all by itself in the middle of the night. No one lives with me or near me. I am alone. No sounds at night. No reason for this to happen. VERY disappointed. If it was not mounted on wall where i need help to remove it, I woudl and replace it with VIZIO which I had before.

      A very nice mid level TV. Picture and sound are very good. Should be 5 stars except that too many self promoting Amazon ads.

    • Freezes up. Won’t replace!

      I have contacted Hisense three times now due to my TV freezing up constantly when using the streaming apps. They have verified it is not my Internet speed and that it is the TV. However, each time they have me do a factory reset which then wipes everything out. I am then required to add all my settings and apps back in which takes close to three hours to complete from start to finish when I put back in all my passwords.
      It will work for a week or two and then start doing it again. This happened when the TV was less than two months old. The TV is currently only six months old.
      They have said they will not replace the TV as long as I continue to do a factory reset. This is not acceptable for a new product.

    • Great Picture and Brightness. Snappy interface.

      I added this to my bedroom and have really enjoyed the picture quality and brightness. I use an LG C2 77” in my office/game room and was really surprised to see this budget unit had a picture that didn’t feel like a serious downgrade for the bedroom. The HDR brightness is REALLY great. The sound quality of the built in speakers is nice as well - clear and distortion free to a loud volume. If you’re not concerned about high refresh rates or any of the modern gaming platform features (VRR/G-Sync), this is a great TV. Viewing angles are much better than anticipated too. Definitely a lot of bang for the buck here.

      Love, love this TV. I bought it for the gaming system for the grown children and grandchildren. The sound quality and picture is great. It was easy to set up and makes a great addition to the gaming area.

      Had great picture quality,deep blacks, excellent color and good brightness for HDR. I only give it 4 stars because it has no motion smoothing setting.Just coudn't deal with it.Other then that it is the best LED in this price category.

    • Absolutely stunning picture incredible colors

      I've Always stuck to Samsung Tvs so this was my first purchase that wasn't a Samsung TV. I was and still am very impressed at its picture quality and smart functions. This beats a regular Amazon Firestick it's very fast and responsive I highly recommend this TV to all who are on a low budget. 👌

      HDR Nits: Up To 600 Nits of brightness, Bright vivid colors

      No Motion Smoothing control: Hisense has a Motion smoothing tech called Motion rate: The problem is their is no menu to edit options like LG and other brands. This tv has 240 Motion rate, TV is still 60 hz but is capable of producing motion that feels like 240hz, Problem is there is no menu to edit the options. I for one enjoy the soap opera affect that LG Trumotion provides, sadly Hisense does not offer this feature at least on the 50 inch.

      That is my only con, Great TV just wish Motion rate had editable options, Don't bother looking in settings as there is none for Motion rate.

      Bought this for my grandma for her birthday and she didn’t start using it until a few months later, it worked for 1 day and now it’s completely broken. Total black screen and no trouble shooting will fix it. Missed the return window so just stuck with a broken tv. Do not waste your time and money on this.

    • Remote kills batteries daily. Support was GARBAGE. Image is noisy and harsh.

      The remote drains batteries in less than a day. I tried to get support for this through Hisense, but they took so long in communicating with me that they eventually said that I was "out of accessory warranty." Disgraceful.

      The image quality (rather, the permanent image processing) makes the colors slightly flicker every time the scene changes. I turned off EVERY post-processing effect and still had visual artifacts and color-shifts.

      Get a better TV, preferably from a real company.

    • Can be used as CAD monitor

      I only used as a computer monitor for a couple days, but I could see the text of a house plan viewing 75' vertical. Its a little too big for everyday computing to me, I didn't utilize the entire screen - 43" fits me best. I work in surveying and designing houses and if I had a dedicated computer for that, I would be fine with this 50" u6. It has no buttons, must have a remote.

    • CAN'T TURN OFF MOTION SMOOTHING WHICH RUINS THE PICTURE

      I really wanted to like this TV and when I first set it up I loved it. You get a lot of features for the price, the Amazon TV interface works great, and the video picture really looks good.

      However, as soon as I watched filmed content on it (24 frames/sec), the amount of smoothing just looked disgusting. And after 2 weeks of research and testing, THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. The U6 line of TV's normally has a setting you can change, but not on the Amazon Fire TV flavor. I don't know why, but it's a total dealbreaker.

      Fortunately I was able to return it and get a U7 with Filmmaker Mode on it, which theoretically senses 24p content and turns off smoothing, etc. It doesn't seem to work very well in practice, but at least there's a setting that I can manually turn off now. Unfortunately, the U7 is Google TV instead of Amazon Fire TV, and it's not quite as good (but it's fine). And the non-Fire TV is 55" instead of 58", which is fine. The picture is also a little better on the U7 than the U6.

      Incidentally, the return process couldn't have been easier, so I'm thankful for that!

      Anyway, I never thought I would get a Hisense TV, but I've been very pleasantly surprised, once I got a unit that has an accessible Motion Smoothing setting.

    • Great Picture, Nice TV Zero support from Hisense, Even Amazon cannot reach them.

      Very short review.
      Purchased the TV for a gift for my wife February of 2023, I am writing this in April of 2023.
      The TV Picture is fantastic, especially for an economical TV.

      TV remote went dead after 7 week, read thru all the trouble shooting fixes, power cycled the TV and Remote, 3 new sets of batteries in the remote.
      Reached out to Hisense, nothing
      Amazon emailed me to ask how my service call went, and included a contact offer to Amazon. Called Amazon, they walked me through more trouble shooting, then suggested I buy a replacement $42 remote?????? The guy agreed that was ridiculous for a new TV, so he tried calling Hisense, they didn't pick up for one of their major retail outlets?????

      I did reach out to them again, still nothing.
      This is a purchase I regret, I did end up buying the $42 remote which works.

      Fool me once is enough, Hisense does not exist to me.

      Vibrant colors, fast frame rate, crystal clear picture, you name it. This TV has it! Not to mention it'll connect to your ring doorbell and show the image on the screen when someone's at the door. Awesome product for a great price!

      Tv is fine but getting anyother streaming device to work with the tv to control volume or power is a no go!!!! I even cant get my new 4K max firestick to control volume or power. Dont buy the TV.

      I'm very happy with this tv, I got it for my bedroom, the size is perfect. Great quality picture, sturdy stand. I love the remote, very simple and handles everything. I'm incredibly pleased I chose this one after quite a bit of research. I have only found 2 downsides to this tv, both are minor. From side angles, the color falls out. The further you go to either side, the picture becomes less and less colorful, becomes almost contrasted to darks/whites. Doesn't bother me as I don't watch from angles, but when I glace at it from my desk it's noticeable. Wide viewing living room set ups may have a bigger problem with that. Second, I can't turn off the constant suggestions for alexa. It darkens part of the screen and suggests sayings to try. I turned off the feature, I don't mind that the tv has it, but it comes up in the corner pretty often. Its a minor annoyance at most, but thought I'd mention it. Overall, I'm very pleased!
